Muslims refugees can continue to get citizenship as per provisions of Citizenship Act, CAA does not prevent that: Government clarifies in Lok Sabha

Even as the lies about the Citizenship Amendment Act by left-liberals continue, the union government today clarified in the Lok Sabha that Muslims refugees will continue to granted Indian citizenship despite the enactment of the CAA. Replying to a question by Kani K. Navas, Muslim League MP from Tamil Nadu, the home ministry yet again made it clear that CAA does not prevent anyone from getting Indian citizenship.

Replying to the question whether Muslim Refugees would be granted Indian Citizenship now onwards, the reply submitted by minister of state in the MHA Nityanand Rai on February 4 said that the present legal process of acquiring Indian citizenship by any legal migrant of any category through Naturalization (Section 6 of the Citizenship Act) or through Registration (Section 5 of the Act) remains un-amended. The ministry pointed out that many migrants belonging to majority religion in the neighbouring countries have also been granted Indian citizenship whenever they have applied to the competent authority and have been found eligible. “All legal migrants into India, irrespective of religions shall continue to get citizenship as per the provisions of the Citizenship Act,1955 if they fulfil the eligibility conditions,” the Home Ministry categorically stated in the parliament.

Replying to a question asking the reason for amending the Citizenship Act, and the reason for selecting December 31, 2014 as the cut-off date under the CAA, the reply by MHA stated that the Citizenship (Amendment) Act,2019 aims to facilitate grant of citizenship to migrants belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh who have taken shelter in India due to persecution on grounds of religion or fear of such persecution in their countries and have entered India on or before 31/12/2014,  and who have been exempted from the penal provisions of the Foreigners Act, 1946 and the Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920 and the Rules/orders made thereunder by amending the Passport (Entry into India) Rules 1950 and the Foreigners Order, 1948 vide notifications dated 07.09.2015 and 18.07.2016. As these notifications mention a cut-off date of 31.12.2014, the same cut-off date has been applied in the CAA, as the amendment gives citizenship to the same category of foreigners.

Read- The Citizenship Amendment Act is constitutional: Here is how the anti-CAA propaganda has no legal basis

To the question asking how non-citizen Muslims will be treated, the government said that all non-citizens as equally covered under the provisions of Foreigners Act, 1946, The Registration of Foreigners Act, 1939, the Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920 and the rules / orders made thereunder, and there is no separate rule for Muslim non-citizens. The ministry reiterated that all legal migrants, including Muslims, can acquire citizenship as per the prescribed norms.

The CAA gives relaxes the rules for granting citizenship to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian persons from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, but it does not change the process of granting citizenship to others. This has been clarified by the government repeatedly, but opposition parties and left-liberal media continue to peddle the lie that CAA discriminates against Muslims. The organisers of on-going anti-CAA protesters and many journalists have been successful in spreading the lie that Muslims will have to show documents proving that they are India citizenship due to the CAA, while the fact is that it does not apply to any Indian citizen, so there is no question of asking for documents from Muslims or anyone else due to the CAA. Moreover, the union government has also clarified in the Lok Sabha that it has no plans to implement NRC in near future, so nobody will be asked to show any documents, but the lies by left-liberal ecosystem about CAA and NRC continues.

Sri Ram Mandir Tirtha Kshetra: PM Modi announces the setting up of autonomous trust for temple construction in Ayodhya

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced setting up of a trust for building the Ram temple in Ayodhya on Wednesday along with the offer of land for a mosque in Uttar Pradesh’s temple town as mandated by the Supreme Court verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid issue.

Addressing the Lok Sabha, the Prime Minister said, “We have readied a scheme for the development of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. An autonomous trust has been formed, it is called Sri Ram Janambhoomi Tirath Kshetra.”

Reportedly, PM Modi also said that after the verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi issue came out, the people of India displayed remarkable faith in democratic processes and procedures. “I salute the 130 crore people of India,” he added.

The PM added that the trust will have the power to decide on matters related to the construction of the temple. He added that the government has also asked the UP state government to allocate 5 acres of land to the Sunni Waqf Board, which the state government has accepted.

“Let us all support construction of grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya,” he said, to shouts of “Jai Shri Ram” reverberating around the Parliament house.

The PM also announced that the entire 67 acres of the land will be handed over to the newly formed trust to develop for the benefit of devotees.

He further said, “In India, be it Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Parsi or Jain, everyone is a part of one family. Development must take place for every member of the family. Our govt is moving forward with ‘sabka sath sabka vikas’ policy so that everyone is happy.”

In a historic judgment on November 9, the Supreme Court had established that the Hindus have a right on the entire 67-acre Ram Janmabhoomi and ordered the construction of a Ram temple by a government trust at the disputed site in Ayodhya. It had also granted an alternate 5-acre land to the Muslims to build their Masjid in the Hindu holy town.

As per the November 9 Supreme Court judgment, the central government had been directed to formulate a scheme with necessary provisions for the setting up of trust with a board of trustees to supervise the building of the Ram Temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi site.

The Prime Minister is expected to lay the foundation stone of both the Ram Temple and Ram Statue projects in Ayodhya on Ram Navami on April 2, 2020, and the construction is expected to start soon after.

Earlier, The Vishwa Hindu Parishad had urged the Central Government to adopt the model suggested by the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas for the proposed Ram Temple in Ayodhya, as this would speed up its construction

TMC leader Mushtaq Sheikh loses both hands while making bombs, reports say wanted to target pro-CAA rally by BJP

In a saddening incident, a TMC leader named Mushtaq Sheikh has reportedly lost both his hands while some explosives went off in Birbhum district’s Lobara village in West Bengal. As per reports, the accidental explosion was so loud that it was heard all around in several nearby villages.

As per a report in Asianet, the incident happened with Mushtaq Sheikh in a field outside the Lobara village. After the incident, the spot was found scattered with blood, pebbles, and other materials used in making explosives. However, it is reported that the spot was soon covered with soil. Local reports have suggested that the TMC is trying to distance itself from the incident.

Mushtaq Hussain, the district general secretary of Trinamool Congress and a resident of Parui, has stated that the incident never happened.

Sheikh Samad, a local resident and a secretary of BJP’s minority cell stated that Mushtaq Sheikh alias Bapi from TMC, who is a booth president of the ruling party, was making bombs for a planned attack on a pro-CAA rally called by the BJP. While the explosives were being made, a blast occurred and both hands of Sheikh were blasted off. Another three persons have reportedly sustained severe injuries too.

Mushtaq Sheikh has reportedly been transferred to a nursing home in Shaktigarh. BJP has alleged that the TMC leader was planning to use the bombs to attack a pro-CAA rally called by the BJP on February 4.

It is notable here that incidents of violence and arson have been rampant in West Bengal in the name of opposing the CAA and the proposed nationwide NRC. Recently, two people had lost their lives when bullets were fired at a protest march organised by ‘CAA Birodhi Nagarik Mancha’, a newly formed organisation. Locals had alleged that a TMC leader, Tohiruddin Mondal, and his associates had opened fire. TMC had stated that the protestors were trying to close down shops.

Democrat Nancy Pelosi suffers a meltdown, tears copy of US President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech

US House of Representative Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripped up her copy of President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address on Tuesday. The meltdown was caused after US President Donald Trump snubbed Nancy Pelosi and refused to shake hands with the controversial Democratic leader.

Reportedly, the bitter feud between Donald Trump and Nancy Pelosi boiled over at his State of the Union speech with Trump first snubbing her outstretched hand and then Pelosi ripping apart a copy of his remarks behind his back.

As Donald Trump walked to deliver his speech, US House leader Nancy Pelosi stretched out her hand to greet Donald Trump. However, Trump just gave her a copy of his speech and refused to shake her hand.

The move left Nancy Pelosi embarrassed and she appeared to be taken aback resulting in Pelosi tearing up the speech copy of US President Trump later.

In the audience, Republicans from both houses of Congress chanted “four more years” as he stood at the podium in the chamber of the House with a presidential election almost exactly nine months away. Meanwhile, Democrats sat silently and shook their heads as Trump declared, “The state of our union is stronger than ever before.”

In his speech, Trump presented himself as a big improvement over Democratic President Barack Obama, whom he succeeded three years ago, saying he had bolstered US economic growth and increased jobs.

Trump was impeached by the Democratic-controlled House six weeks ago, and the flashpoint with Pelosi comes one day before the US Senate is expected to vote to acquit him on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of justice.

Columnist with Scroll, Hindu, TNM uses an old incident to justify Shaheen Bagh child death, says “he died for a cause”

In one of the most heart-wrenching of recent times, four-month-old infant Mohammed Jahan lost his life after suffering from severe cold and congestion during anti-CAA protests in Shaheen Bagh.

However, Nazia, the mother of the four-month-old infant Mohammad Jahan, is unapologetic about her son’s death but instead has chosen to ignore his death and rejoin the ‘protests’ at the Shaheen Bagh.

The mother, who had brought her child to the protest site exposed her son to severe cold eventually leading to his death has no regret whatsoever. She has instead blamed the Modi government for her son’s death and has vowed to continue to the protest and said she is ready to sacrifice her other two children as well.

Read: “He also had to fight for our rights. He also wanted Azaadi. Ready to sacrifice other two children”: Dead infant’s mother defends bringing child to protests

Following the incident, there was shock and anger against the parents of the kid for allowing her one of their children to die. Netizens and citizens asked how could a mother enable her children to lose life for a petty political cause. What shocked the most is the casual reaction of the mother regarding her son’s death.

People called for legal action against the mother for negligence which led to her child’s death.

People even blamed the parents for using the child as a prop.

As the outrage against the mother and the organisers of the Shaheen Bagh protestor grew louder for allowing such a barbaric thing to occur, the Islamists and left-wing elements began to attack the netizens for seeking accountability for the death of the 4-month-old infant.

Salma Nazma, who claims to be an ‘unapologetic Muslim’ and also a journalist working with left-wing news organisations, descended on social media to defend the mother who allowed her infant son to suffer from severe cold and eventually to his death. Shockingly, the columnist claimed that the infant had ‘died for a cause’ at Shaheen Bagh.

In an attempt the defend the Shaheen Bagh protestors and the mother of kid for allowing the incident to happen, the columnist not only indulged in casteist attack on netizens but also justified the death by citing a 2011 incident that had occurred in Assam.

Nazma cited a report that had allegedly occurred nine years ago in Assam to defend the killing of the four-month-old infant at Shaheen Bagh incident at an anti-CAA protest. Citing an incident of death of an infant in a detention centre in Assam, Nazma questioned why were people were silent then and are only outraging now after knowing that kid had ‘died for a cause’ at Shaheen Bagh protest.

However, in reality, the incident which Nazma quoted, had occurred in 2011. Congress was in power in Centre as well as in Assam at that time. The horrific part of Nazma’s argument is that the child had died had for an important and citizens of the country have no right to question the death. The link Nazma shared talks about an incident from 2011

The most shocking part is that Islamists like Nazma believe that they are part of a crusade of sort against the Modi government. They are willing to even overlook the most heinous crimes perpetrated on common man to further their goals.

The extent of fear-mongering and brainwashing of Muslims in the country by the ultra-left wing establishment and Islamists backed by the ‘liberal-secular’ media is deeply disturbing. In a bid to discredit the Modi government, the anti-India establishment and the media are attempting every dirty trick in its playbook, which has now resulted in the death of the children.

After being called out for her bigotry, Aman then continued to defend her justifying death of an infant.

The anti-CAA protests, especially at Shaheen Bagh, which began as a peaceful protest has now crossed all the boundaries as it has not only turned violent but has now become another typical left-wing event where anti-India and Hinduphobic slogans are being openly chanted. The anti-CAA protests have also become a platform for secessionist agenda as protestors were caught openly batting for cutting North-east from rest of the country.

Liberals have a lot to answer for: With Shaheen Bagh shooter’s AAP link emerging, these propagandists need to apologise

In a startling revelation, the Delhi Police on Tuesday revealed that the shooter who fired at the Shaheen Bagh protest site on Saturday belonged to Aam Aadmi Party, exposing the dangerous nexus between the Arvind Kejriwal led AAP and the shooter to instigate large scale violence on the streets of the Delhi.

According to the reports, Kapil Gujjar, the man who open fired near the anti-CAA protest at Shaheen Bagh on February 1 and his father Gaje Singh had become members of Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP in early 2019.

The Delhi Crime Branch has found certain pictures on the mobile phone of Kapil Gujjar. In these pictures, Kapil Gujjar can be seen with AAP leaders such as Atishi and Sanjay Singh. In the pictures, AAP Dy CM Manish Sisodia and AAP leaders such as Atishi and Sanjay Singh are seen felicitating Kapil Gujjar and his father.

With this expose, the conspiracy theory peddled by the ‘liberal-secular’ media that the shooter was allegedly associated with the BJP and was inspired to pick up the gun after senior leaders like Anurag Thakur and Delhi MP Parvesh Singh Sahib had ‘instigated him with slogans’ fell flat.

The left-media had picked up the bogey that the shooter Kapil Gujjar was ‘inspired’ by the slogans raised by MoS Finance Minister Anurag Thakur during a rally in Delhi where he had chanted with the public “Desh ke gaddaron ko, goli maaro saalon ko” (Traitors to the country should be shot).

As soon as the news emerged that there was a shooting incident at Shaheen Bagh protest site on Saturday, the media mafia of the country instantly started blaming BJP for it.

Sreenivasan Jain, the notorious fake news peddler of the leftist-rag NDTV, blamed the BJP for the alleged shootout and even asked for the arrest of Finance Minister Anurag Thakur. Jain had squarely blamed the BJP for the shooting incident and had even stated that the incident will stop only when there are cases filed against Anurag Thakur. He also lamented over UP CM Yogi Adityanath campaigning for his own party in Delhi.

Rahul Kanwal, who has been facing a lot of fire for his fake sting operations, also took to Twitter to prove his relevance as he stated that the minister leading a rally where ‘Goli maroon’ slogans had resulted to hate speech and incitement which has caused incidents at Shaheen Bagh and Jamia.

Meghnad, an ultra-left wing mimicry artist masquerading as a journalist at another ultra left-wing ‘news’ website imagined a sequence of events to push the blame on the BJP for the Shaheen Bagh shootings without even waiting for the initial investigations.

According to Meghnad, the slogans uttered by Anurag Thakur were responsible for the Shaheen Bagh protests. However, Meghnad has now failed to answer how could an AAP supporter be inspired by a BJP minister.

Interestingly, Meghnad, who figured out the relationship of the shooters with BJP within no time, with the basis of a slogan, is busy defending AAP after it was revealed that the shooter was an AAP member. He is fanning conspiracy theories and trying sly jokes to still claim that the AAP-linking of the shooter cannot be true.

Aditya Menon, another leftist ‘journalist’ also blamed Hindutva outfits for the Shaheen Bagh incident and tried to associate the accused with the Right-wing groups.

Saba Naqvi, the eternal fake news peddler, also uttered the same words as her comrades as she blamed the alleged slogans of “Goli maaron salon ko” for Shaheen Bagh incident.

The ‘liberal-secular’ media seems to have instantly jumped to blame the BJP and its leadership for the shooting incident at Shaheen Bagh. However, with this new revelation, the nexus between Aam Aadmi Party and the Shaheen Bagh shooter only expose the open bias of the ‘liberal-secular’ media, which was quick to blame the BJP and Amit Shah for the Shaheen Bagh shooting incident despite they had no role in the incident.

In fact, there were also allegations across the social media platforms that the whole event was a staged event. However, the left-wing media never even considered a possibility of BJP not being involved in the incident. Unsurprisingly, the media chose to hold BJP leaders responsible for allegedly provoking people to pick up arms.

Interestingly, as the link between Aam Aadmi Party and the Shaheen Bagh shooter was exposed, the media which had outraged against the BJP for its alleged role have now chosen to remain silent, or defend, as the perpetrator is finally found to be from the AAP. The media, whose dubiousness is now out in the open, has a lot to answer to the public for carrying out a blatant disinformation campaign against the BJP.

The shocking expose comes just days after Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had expressed his solidarity with the anti-India and Hinduphobic Shaheen Bagh protestors. Many reports have now emerged linking the Aam Aadmi Party to the anti-CAA riots that was unleashed in Delhi in the name of protests.

It is indeed interesting to see that AAP leaders, who have developed the habit to blame the BJP for anything and everything that happens, have now started hastily deleting any evidence that links them to the shooter, or his father.

It is pertinent to note that AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan was also spotted at the Jamia Nagar protests which turned violent in December. Later, an FIR was also filed against him for instigating violence through social media.

In an inflammatory speech on December 15 at Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh, Khan had attacked the BJP government for enacting the Citizenship Amendment Act by claiming that it was discriminatory for Muslims of the country. Khan had also alleged that the silence of Muslims on the Triple Talaq Act was taken as their weakness by the central government.

The speech which was attended by thousands of impassioned people gathered to protest against the CAA was allegedly delivered just minutes before the violence broke out on the streets of Delhi.

“He also had to fight for our rights. He also wanted Azaadi. Ready to sacrifice other two children”: Dead infant’s mother defends bringing child to protests

Mother of the dead infant has said that she is ready to sacrifice her remaining two children as well for the fight against NRC.

The child died on 30th January, 2019, she says in the video shared by Barkha Dutt’s Mojo Story, and till 29th January they had taken the child to the protests. The mother, Nazia, further states that she has been attending the protests with her infant since 18th December at Shaheen Bagh and at Jamia. “We brought the kid to the protests everyday, didn’t leave baby behind. The baby caught cold and died,” she said. During the video, one can see that the infant is wearing an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) scarf.

Further speaking to the Mojo, Nazia defends bringing her infant to Shaheen Bagh protests in bitter cold by saying that it was also about his future. “He also had to fight for our rights. He also wanted ‘Azaadi’. That’s why we used to bring him. Nazia further adds that her child ‘died fighting for the country’. “Now after his death we will continue to fight against NRC.” When the Mojo journalist asks Nazia if she is afraid for her remaining two children whom they bring to the protest, she said, “No, we are not afraid. We will bring them and if needed will will sacrifice them as well. We will also die in the fight but we will fight for the country.”

Four month old Mohammad Jahan died on 30th January after the baby caught cold. His parents would take him to protests against NRC at Shaheen Bagh in Delhi’s bitter cold. The NRC Nazia is demanding to be rolled back has not even been implemented.

Mohammad Arif and Nazia, the infant’s parents live in a hut put together with plastic sheets and cloth in the Batla House area and have a five-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son other than Mohammad Jahan.

He made us sing ‘insan ka insan se ho bhaichara’, how can he be terrorist? After wife, daughter of Kejriwal defends Delhi CM as polling day nears

In what might appear like a rhetorical question, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter Harshita Kejriwal has said that her father would make everyone in family wake up at 6 am and make them sing ‘insan ka insan se ho bhaichara’. How can doing so be terrorism, she asked.

Her defence comes after Shaheen Bagh shooter Kapil Gujjar turned out to be an AAP member. She said that her father, ‘who was always into social services’, would wake up her brother, herself, her mother and her grandparents at 6 AM and made them read the Bhagwad Gita. Following the Gita reading, he would make them sing ‘insan ka insan se ho bhaichara’ song. “Is this terrorism?” she asks. The song is originally sung by Manna De in the film Paigham (1959).

Harshita’s statement comes soon after Delhi CM’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal defended her husband. Sunita Kejriwal had expressed her disappointment at the allegations levelled against her husband and said that people have assured them that despite the allegations, people will vote only for AAP. “It is very disheartening to see that allegations are being put on a person who is working so hard,” she had told news agency ANI.

Kejriwal, who is quite fond of singing, has sang this song on multiple occasions, including on his swearing in ceremony in December 2013.

He was spotted singing this song outside Delhi LG’s house in May 2018. Kejriwal was protesting outside Delhi LG’s house over allegations that the LG was ‘stalling’ Delhi government projects under ‘pressure from BJP’.

On February 4, it was revealed that the Shaheen Bagh shooter, Kapil Gujjar, is an Aam Aadmi Party member who joined the party last year along with his father. Photographs of him being felicitated by AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Atishi Marlena have gone viral. After the shooting, Gujjar had shouted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and said India is for Hindus. With the revelation of him being an AAP member coming days ahead of state assembly elections, AAP has gone into a huddle and tried to pin the blame of their own party member on the BJP.

Delhi goes to polls on 8th February and the results will be declared on 11th February.

AAP leader deletes tweet that proved that Shaheen Bagh shooter had joined AAP last year

Hours after it was revealed that the Shaheen Bagh shooter Kapil Gujjar had joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) last year with his father, AAP has been on an offensive to disassociate themselves from him. AAP leader Kuldeep Kumar, who had tweeted a photograph of Gujjar welcoming him to the party along with party leaders Sanjay Singh and Atishi Marlena, has mysteriously deleted the tweet.

AAP leader Kuldeep Kumar’s deleted tweet

In the above screenshot, the Shaheen Bagh shooter Kapil Gujjar can be seen in the second picture with Aam Aadmi Party leaders Atishi and Sanjay Singh. Kumar has now deleted this tweet without any explanation. An archive of his tweet could be accessed here.

Shaheen Bagh shooter Kapil Gujjar (circled) with AAP leaders Atishi and Sanjay Singh

In Kumar’s tweet, he also mentions how BSP Patparganj chief Gaje Singh has also joined AAP. However, now Gaje Singh has denied being part of AAP.

In a video shared by NDTV journalist Saurabh Shukla, Gaje Singh denies ever having been member of AAP. However, Kumar’s tweet categorically welcomed him to AAP. Gaje Singh claims that he only wore the cap because AAP were distributing them during the campaigning and claimed that after having quit BSP, he has completely quit politics.

On Tuesday night it was revealed that the Shaheen Bagh shooter, Kapil Gujjar, who fired three shots in the air on February 1, after declaring that only Hindus will prevail in India, has been associated with the AAP since early 2019.

This revelation comes days after Sanjay Singh had alleged that the shooting was BJP’s ploy.  However, soon after it was known that Shaheen Bagh shooter is an AAP member, AAP has gone into a huddle and trying all tricks in the book to wash its hands off him. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh even went on to say that the AAP member being part of AAP and who opened fire at Shaheen Bagh demanding Hindu Rashtra and saying ‘Jai Shri Ram’ is all a BJP conspiracy.

After reciving flak, Tamil Nadu government revokes decision to hold public examinations for classes 5 and 8

After receiving flak from all quarters, the Tamil Nadu government has planned to roll back its previous decision to hold public examinations for classes 5 and 8.

Providing much relief to the students, Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday (February 4), in a statement released by School Education Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan, announced its decision to scrap the September 2019 Government order that was meant to introduce Public exams for State board students of classes 5th and 8th, starting March-April 2020.

Reportedly, there was an order passed on 13th September 2019 by Tamil Nadu government, stating that there will be board exams for 5th and 8th standards from the current academic year.

The statement said, “We received a lot of feedback and comments from various stakeholders in the education sector about the exams. And taking all this into consideration, we have decided to stop the board exams for the Class 5 and 8 students”. This simply means that the earlier pattern of the exam system will sustain further.

Minister for School Education K.A. Sengottaiyan had affirmed that several representations and suggestions from the public had received following an announcement in September last year to hold public exams for these classes.

“The government has taken all this into consideration and has cancelled the government order to conduct examinations for classes 5 and 8. We will revert to the regular existing system of exams,” he said in a statement”, he said.

The order passed had come under intense criticism from all sides. Educationists and Activists advocated against putting children under immense stress by making them appear for public exams at this age.

Stakeholders highlight that such a policy could end up causing an increase in child labour as parents of “non-performing” or “under-performing” students who belong to lesser fortunate sections of society would discourage their wards from continuing their schooling.

Moreover, activists have emphasized that having board exams for classes 5 and 8 would only deprive the children of the freedom and joy, as they would be pressured by parents to perform well in the board exams right from their 5th grade up until they complete their schooling.

Recently, a Class 8 student from Peerkankaranai had allegedly committed suicide and his parents had suspected that the stress over the board exams could have pushed him to take the extreme step.
