Law and order goes for a toss in Karnataka, criminals enter BJP leader’s house and kill four people in Gadag-Betageri

On Friday (19th April), a family of 3 and the son of Municipal Council Vice President was found murdered in the Gadag-Betageri city of Karnataka. The victims were identified as Karthik Bakale, Parashuram Hadimani, his wife Lakshmi and their minor daughter Akanksha.

It must be mentioned that the deceased Karthik Bakale was the son of the Vice-President of the Gadag-Betgeri City Municipal Council (GBCMC), Sunanda Bakale. Karthik’s father Prakash Bakale had also previously served as the Vice-President of GBCMC.

Both of them are BJP leaders. Karthik’s engagement took place on 17th April this year. The Hadimani family had come to Gadag-Betageri from Koppa to attend the event. The four people were found murdered in their sleep.

While speaking about the matter, a police official informed, “The killers entered the room from the first floor and killed Parashuram, Lakshmi and Akanksha. Hearing a loud noise, Karthik went to the first floor to check and was also killed.”

It has come to light that the Bakale family was sleeping on the ground floor while the Hadimani family was sleeping on the top floor. The Bakales heard loud bangs on the door and had called the police for help.

After murdering the victims, the unidentified accused fled the crime scene and abandoned the murder weapon in a ditch. The police have ruled out murder for robbery. A team of 5 has been constituted to apprehend the accused.

A police official said that the deceased Karthik Bakale has a step-brother. “We are also looking at the angle of his involvement in the incident,” he emphasised.

US House passes bill that could lead to ban on Chinese app TikTok

The US House of Representatives on Saturday approved a bill that could ban social media app TikTok, CNN reported.

The bill passed 360-58 marks the latest defeat for TikTok in the US, as the social media company with 170 million users in the US fights for survival under its current ownership by ByteDance, its Chinese parent company.

The passage of the bill in the US House comes as part of a foreign aid package for Israel and Ukraine. The move resembles an earlier version approved in March this year that would ban TikTok from US app stores unless it finds a new owner, and quickly, according to CNN report.

By attaching the TikTok bill to funding for Israeli missile defence and Ukrainian military equipment, Republican lawmakers in the US placed pressure on Senate lawmakers to consider the whole package in a single up-or-down vote.

Policy analysts expect the US Senate to take up the aid package quickly, increasing its chances of passing. US President Joe Biden has previously announced that he would sign the TikTok legislation if it reached his desk.

The passage of the TikTok bill showcases how policy priorities outside the company’s control have merged to create a potentially devastating outcome for an app that is liked by many young Americans. However, US officials have warned that it is a national security risk.

The version of the bill approved Saturday would, if signed, give TikTok 270 days to find a new owner, which is more than roughly six months contemplated under older versions of the legislation. The bill also gives the White House the ability to extend that deadline for another 90 days if the US President believes there is progress towards a sale, CNN reported.

TikTok has expressed its opposition to the bill. For weeks, TikTok carried out a lobbying campaign to defeat the legislation, stressing that it violates its users’ First Amendment rights and threatens small businesses.

In a post on X, TikTok on Wednesday wrote, “It is unfortunate that the House of Representatives is using the cover of important foreign and humanitarian assistance to once again jam through a ban bill that would trample the free speech rights of 170 million Americans, devastate 7 million businesses, and shutter a platform that contributes USD 24 billion to the US economy, annually.”

TikTok has indicated it could file a lawsuit to block the House’s legislation, telling users in March that it plans to continue fighting, “including (by) exercising our legal rights,” according to CNN report. A court challenge over the law would result in a high-stakes battle over the right of people in the US to access digital information.

Lingayat seers demand capital punishment in Neha’s murder case, BJP leader Jagadish Shettar visits victim’s family after Congress leaders rejected ‘Love Jihad’ angle

Days after Congress leader Niranjan Hiremath’s daughter, Neha, was stabbed to death by her former classmate Fayaz for turning down his advances, Former Karnataka CM and BJP leader Jagadish Shettar paid a visit to their residence in Hubballii to express solidarity with the bereaved family. Earlier, the Congress Councillor of Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, Niranjan Hiremath had called out his party leaders for denying the Love Jihad angle in his daughter Neha’s murder.

Following his meeting with the bereaved family, BJP leader and candidate from Belagavi, Jagadish Shettar raised questions on the crumbling Law and order situation in the state and demanded strict punishment against the accused. 

He said, “It was an inhumane act. The way Fayaz murdered Neha, it was very inhumane. It is a condemnable act and I insist that the state government, Chief Minister and Home Minister conduct an impartial and speedy inquiry into the matter.”

Shettar added, “The culprits have to be punished…State Government has utterly failed to maintain law and order situation in Karnataka. It is affecting day-to-day public life in entire Karnataka. Parents are very apprehensive of sending their children to schools and colleges…When law & order is not good, entire State Government will collapse…Speedy investigation is needed…Action has to be taken.”

Earlier in the day, activists of Akhila Bharat Veerashaiva Lingayat Mahasabha condemned the brutal murder of Neha Hiremath in Hubballi. They held a protest outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office and demanded capital punishment for Neha’s murderer. They also submitted a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah through the Deputy Chief Minister.

Additionally, prominent Lingayat seers including Dingaleshwara Swami and others held a protest to demand Justice for Neha.

Accused Fayaz’s mother demands ‘strict punishment’, claims no ‘Love Jihad’ angle

The mother of accused Fayaz who stabbed Congress Corporator’s daughter Neha to death inside their college campus in Hubballi, apologised to the victim’s family for her son’s act and demanded strict punishment for him.

The accused’s mother Mamtaz said, “I apologise to the people of Karnataka as well as Neha’s family for what my son has done. It is a great injustice to Neha and her family.”

“What my son has done is completely wrong and we hang our heads in shame. What he did is a big mistake and he should be given strict punishment as per the law of the land,” she added. 

However, she alleged that there is no ‘Love Jihad’ angle in this murder case. Speaking to reporters in Dharwad, she claimed that her son and Neha were not just friends but that they were in love and wanted to marry.

Speaking with News18 Kannada, she further claimed that her son was under depression. She added, “Fayaz was under depression. He was sitting at home for one and a half years.”

Earlier, the victim’s father Niranjan Hiremath, in an emotional meltdown, asserted that her daughter had become prey to Love Jihad and pleaded with everyone not to taint the honour of his late daughter by making statements that she was in love with the accused Fayaz who brutally stabbed her to death for rejecting his proposal.  

Now, Mumtaz, the mother of the accused, has alleged that there was no attempt at forced marital religious conversion. She has alleged that Neha and Fayaz “were in love”. 

She alleged, “It was Neha who made the first move and took his phone number. My son did tell me about Neha and that he was in love with her and they wanted to get married. But I had suggested that he first focus on his career.” 

She also claimed that last year she knew that they were in love with each other.  

Earlier on Saturday, Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah had also alleged that there was “no love jihad” angle surrounding the murder of Congress Corporator Niranjan Hiremath’s daughter. 

Additionally, the Karnataka Home Minister had also claimed that it was a case of mutual love between the victim and the perpetrator. He recounted that when the girl decided to end the relationship and walk away, the accused resorted to violence. “I don’t see love jihad there,” Parameshwar stated firmly.

On Friday, a senior police officer said, “During interrogation, Fayaz claimed that the two of them had been in a relationship and that she had suddenly started avoiding him. It needs to be corroborated and verified, but he was arrested immediately.”

Hubballi murder case: Neha was stabbed to death on college premises by her jilted lover for turning down his advances

24-year-old student, Neha was stabbed to death on her college campus on Thursday (18th April). The incident took place at B V Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology in Hubbali, where Neha was studying in her first year of MCA. The attacker Fayaz was a BCA student of the same college and was a classmate of Neha. He is from Savadatti in Belagavi district.

As reported earlier, Fayaz was waiting for her to come out of the college and attacked her with a knife. He stabbed her in the neck multiple times with the knife, which was caught on CCTV camera. He was covering his face with a mask. After the stabbing which left Neha profusely bleeding, the assailant fled the scene with the weapon in his hand.

The police arrested Fayaz who was on the run after the murder, and further probe is underway. The police said that he was planning to kill Neha, as he told his friends that he would finish the girl who had rejected his offer. Given that he chose to stab her in the neck, confirmed that he intended to kill her.

Reacting to allegations that her daughter was in Love with the accused Fayaz and there was no Love Jihad angle, the Congress corporator asserted, “By making such statements, my daughter’s honour should not be tainted, because I know my daughter well. I am a Congress corporator, I am not from some other party. Our Home Minister has given such statements due to wrong information. I request the Home Minister to correct his statement. If you want to get votes by giving such statements, it is not right. I am a people’s representative, I am your party’s representative and I’m not from any other party. It has happened in my own house, so how can I protect other people?”

Uttar Pradesh: Moradabad BJP candidate Kunwar Sarvesh Singh passes away a day after voting in the constituency

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kunwar Sarvesh Singh passed away on Saturday (20th April). BJP had fielded him from Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency which went for polls yesterday in the first phase of polling on Friday.

As per reports, he breathed his last at around 6.30 pm on Saturday as he died at AIIMS in Delhi due to a heart attack following a prolonged illness. Because of his poor health conditions, the late BJP candidate could not participate in his election campaigns. Reportedly, he was suffering from cancer.

Kunwar Sarvesh Singh was a businessman by profession. He was considered one of the influential leaders of Uttar Pradesh. He hailed from the Thakur community. Before becoming an MP, he represented the Thakurdwara assembly seat five times as its MLA. 

His son Kunwar Sushant Singh is the MLA from Badhapur assembly seat which comes under the Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath condoled the demise of BJP leader Kunwar Sarvesh Singh.

Reacting to his demise, UP BJP chief Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary extended condolences and strength to his supporters and the bereaved family. He tweeted that he is shocked by the demise of Singh, calling it an irreparable loss for the BJP family.

Taking to X, he wrote, “The untimely demise of hardworking leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, source of inspiration for Moradabad BJP workers and former MP of Moradabad Kunwar Sarvesh Singh ji is extremely sad and painful. The demise of Sarvesh Singh ji is an irreparable loss not only for Moradabad but also for the Uttar Pradesh BJP family.” 

He added, “I pray to Shri Ram Chandra Ji to give a place to the departed soul in his feet and give strength to his supporters and bereaved family to bear this unbearable loss. My condolences are with the bereaved family.” 

Voting for all Lok Sabha constituencies will take place on 4th June and the constituency will have to go for bypolls if he would have won the seat in yesterday’s polling.

Kunwar Sarvesh Singh’s political legacy

Kunwar Sarvesh Singh was born on 22nd December 1951. He contested the assembly elections for the first time in 1991 from Thakurdwara seat on BJP ticket. After this, he represented the assembly four times in a row as he registered consecutive victories in 1993, 1996, and 2002. However, in 2007 he faced defeat by the BSP candidate. 

This time, the BJP nominated him as its candidate for the Moradabad Lok Sabha seat for the fourth time. In 2009, he contested the elections against former cricketer Azharuddin but lost. In 2014, he defeated Dr. ST Hasan, who contested on an SP ticket. However, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he was defeated by the SP candidate ST Hasan.

There are 6 assembly constituencies under the Moradabad Lok Sabha seat which is a sizeable Muslim population deciding the political fate of this constituency. As per the demographics of the seat, the total population here is 52.14% Hindu and 47.12% Muslim. 

For the first time in 2014, Bharatiya Janata Party won the Moradabad Lok Sabha seat. Back then, the BJP had won 71 seats in Uttar Pradesh on its own and had made a clean sweep in Western Uttar Pradesh. Kunwar Sarvesh Kumar had defeated his rival Dr. ST Hasan of the Samajwadi Party by 87 thousand votes.

Asserting that he wants to take the country ahead in a range of areas including green energy and electronics while the INDIA alliance aimed to remove him from office, PM Modi on Saturday launched a blistering attack on Congress and accused it of being “anti-investment, anti-entrepreneurship, anti-private sector, anti-taxpayer, anti-wealth creator”.

Addressing an election rally here, the Prime Minister attacked the Congress government in Karnataka and said the party has turned “tech city into a tanker city” and the budget is being cut from agriculture to urban infrastructure.

He said people should be “very alert from Congress” as “thoughts and ideology being promoted by it is “dangerous”.

“Modi says he will make the country a green energy hub, pharma hub, electronics hub, electrical vehicle hub, semiconductor hub, and a global innovation hub so that India becomes a hub of the Global economy. But the people of Congress and the INDI alliance say they will remove Modi,” he said.

“Modi guarantees that after 5G, we will now launch 6G, they say they will remove Modi. Modi guarantees that we will bring AI, but they say they will remove Modi. Modi guarantees that after Chandrayaan, we will now make India proud of Gaganyaan, they say, they will remove Modi. Congress is anti-youth because it is anti-investment, it is anti-entrepreneurship, it is anti-private sector, it is anti-taxpayer, it is anti-wealth creator…

“The kind of thoughts and ideology being promoted by the Congress government in Karnataka is very dangerous. Our daughters are being attacked, bombs are exploding in markets, and people are being attacked for listening to religious songs, these incidents are not common. I urge my brothers and sisters to stay very alert of the Congress,” he added.

The Prime Minister said that people’s support had led to the formation of strong governments in 2014 and 2019 and today India is “not a follower, it has become the first mover”.

“In 2014 and 2019, you gave us a record number of votes and made a strong government, which strengthened the country. India was considered one of the fragile five economies of the world… Indian banks were in crisis. Scams worth thousands of crores had scared foreign investors. We have seen those days, and we are seeing these days also,” he said.

“The world wants to strengthen its relations with India. Investors want to make record investments in the country. India is doing record exports and creating new records in manufacturing as well… Today India is not a follower, it has become the first mover. This change has happened in 10 years. What is the reason for this change?… The reason for this change is your vote,” he added.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the government’s efforts to promote self-reliance in defence as also exports.

He attacked Congress over its earlier allegations that the government was “neglecting” Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.

“Yesterday, the first consignment of India’s Brahmos missile has been dispatched to the Phillippines. This has generated employment opportunities in large numbers on the ground level. Could all this have been imagined during Congress’ rule?… Congress bad-mouthed Modi and HAL all over the country. The same HAL now has a record turnover, record profit, and receiving a record number of orders,” he said.

“Asia’s largest helicopter factory has been set up in Karnataka. After America, Boeing’s second biggest facility has been set up in Karnataka. This is happening only when the number of factories in India is increasing, and the number of people working in those factories is also increasing,” he added.

PM Modi said the BJP and Janata Dal-Secular have come together to fulfil the dreams of the people of the state.

“I guarantee that your dreams are my resolve. My life is dedicated to you and the country. I promise 24X7 for 2047,” he said, referring to the goal of making India a developed country by 2047.

“Congress has turned tech city into a tanker city. The budget is being cut from agriculture to urban infrastructure. Congress is only focused on corruption, and not on the problems of Bengaluru. Only the projects of the central govt are moving ahead fast,” he said, adding that the metro network has also expanded.

PM Modi talked about the economic progress made by the country in the last 10 years and the government’s efforts to provide relief to people.

“Before 2014, you were liable to pay Income Tax on your annual income of just Rs 2 lakh. But now, you are exempted from paying Income Tax on your income of up to Rs 7 lakh. Before 2014, various kinds of indirect taxes increased your shopping and restaurant bills. After the implementation of GST, indirect taxes have been reduced. This has saved thousands of crores of your money,” he said.

PM Modi said the issue of “Congress and INDI alliance is Modi, Modi’s family, and wrongly accusing Modi”.

“But Modi’s focus is on the development of 21st-century India, to ensure good facilities and wealth for the people of India, and India’s global image,” he said.

Railways ministry busts fake claims about overcrowding and lack of basic amenities in trains, says old videos shared to malign the image of Indian Railways

On Saturday (20th April), the Ministry of Railways, in a series of tweets, busted fake news pointing out that old videos with misleading claims have been circulating on social media to allege overcrowding and lack of basic amenities in trains. The ministry said that the videos showing overcrowded train coaches and other irregularities are old. Additionally, the Ministry of Railways also urged netizens to not ‘malign the image of Indian Railways’ by sharing misleading/old videos. 

Notably, in the last few days, several videos showing overcrowded trains were circulating on social media, with the claim that people without tickets are crowding reserved coaches, even preventing passengers with reservations from reaching their berths. Moreover, several netizens while trying to peddle the opposition’s propaganda of ‘privatisation’ of Indian railways in the future, alleged that the Indian Railways was not providing basic amenities like water, cleanliness in toilets, crowd management in reserved coaches, and adequate number of trains to ease passenger traffic. It was further claimed that even semi-high speed Vande Bharat trains are also running overcrowded.

However, days after their posts started doing rounds, the Indian Railways updated the current status of the trains in question that were mentioned in these misleading videos. 

By sharing the live update of the ‘structural’ health and hygiene of these trains and amenities provided thereof, the Ministry of Railways categorically noted that the videos being peddled to malign the Indian Railways are old based on which misleading claims are being made. 

Incidentally, the Ministry has prominently highlighted three fake instances that are doing rounds.  

A post claimed that passengers who had reservations in the third Air condition compartment (3rd AC) were not allowed to board the Kaifiyaat SF Express (12226) as the train was packed to the fullest. Resultantly, the angry passengers waiting outside broke the glass panel fitted in the compartment gate. 

Responding to the post, the Ministry stated, “Based on the internal investigation, no such incident related to breaking of glass was reported. Kindly refrain from sharing old misleading videos,” as it also shared the status of the 3rd AC compartment mentioned in the viral video in which the glass panel is seen intact in the compartment gate. 

Likewise, another post called out by the Ministry of Railways for spreading fake news claimed grievances in four different trains/railway stations namely Ranchi-Patna bound Vande Bharat, 3rd AC Coach, station in Bihar, and an S1 coach in train number 14632.

The post also alleged systematic destruction of the Indian Railways under the Modi government. The handle brazened it up by alleging that all types of Trains are running either late, have no water, have dirty Toilets, or transport humans like ‘cattle’. The post further alleged that this was being done ‘intentionally’ for the privatisation of the Indian railways, a trope that the opposition has been using against the Modi government to allege nexus between major corporate houses and the Union government.  

In separate videos recorded from the said trains in question, the Ministry called out the fake claims made in the aforementioned post in all four different trains. “The present video of the coach. No overcrowding. Please don’t malign the image of Indian Railways by sharing misleading videos,” the ministry said in a tweet.

Referring to claims of overcrowded trains including Vande Bharat trains, the ministry clarified that the videos are old. The rail ministry also posted a video of the preset condition of a Vande Bharat train, which is not crowded.

Regarding the concerns of overcrowding, the Ministry of Railways also noted that the Indian Railways is running a record number of additional trains in this season to facilitate passengers.

It is pertinent to note that the Modi government has laid a special focus on improving the punctuality of Indian railways, cleanliness, increasing the speed of trains by launching advanced and high-speed trains like Vande Bharat, dedicated freight corridors, and improving the Railway infrastructure including steps to averse accidents like the elimination of manned railway crossings and deployment of Kavach system among others. The slew of developmental measures by the Indian railways have been hailed as one of the striking achievements of the Modi government in the last ten years.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president (AIMIM) and Hyderabad Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi stoked controversy during his door-to-door campaign as he was heard stating “Rehan beef shop zindabad” to the butcher in front of a store with “Rehan Beef Shop” written on its board, in Hyderabad’s Old City. He also greeted the people present at the shop and shook hands with them. He further expressed, “Kaat te raho (keep slaughtering),” while departing from there with his supporters.

Bharatiya Janta Party has reacted fiercely after the video of the incident came to the fore and considered it offensive. Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman conveyed that she was not shocked because the Muslim leader’s political remarks have always been excessive and vulgar. According to her, his brother and MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi is likewise the same.

Vice-president of BJP’s Andhra Pradesh unit Vishnu Vardhan Reddy posted the clip on social media and accused the parliamentarian of using provocative words to incite and hurt Hindu sensibilities. He charged, “A dangerous pattern of divisive rhetoric emerges from Asaduddin Owaisi as he shamelessly uses inflammatory language to provoke and offend Hindu sentiments. His recent campaign antics, including endorsing a beef shop with ‘Rehan Beef Shop Zindabad’ & advocating for violence, are abhorrent. Such deliberate actions only fuel hatred and widen the rifts in our society.”

Notably, the senior Owaisi has encountered a formidable opponent in the name of Madhavi Latha who is gaining nationwide recognition for her staunch Hindutva image and strong opposition to his radical politics. She accused the Owaisi family of using fictitious voters to retain the constituency. She also responded sharply to his comment and noted, “I don’t understand how Asaduddin Owaisi became a barrister. He keeps talking about personal law. According to personal law, a ‘Fatwa’ is something that is to be obeyed by all. When there is a ‘Fatwa’ that beef should not be consumed, then how is he going against the Fatwa? This means he does not respect his own religion.”

She added, “Is the life of a Muslim so small that it revolved around cutting and consuming beef? You are asking for votes on this? Why is he making the lives of Muslims so small? He should speak of getting an education and being something for the country. What does it mean to cut beef? Did he not get anything else to ask for votes? It is a matter of surprise for me”

Asaduddin Owaisi also faced criticism in 2016 for alleging that there would be no beef if AIMIM was not in power, during a municipal election. “If AIMIM is defeated in the election, I am telling you the members of the minority community will have to forget about eating beef.” His younger brother Akbaruddin Owaisi is infamous for his “15-minute police hata do” (remove police for 15 minutes and we will finish 100 crore Hindus) which he often repeats in his election rallies.

The Election Commission of India (EC) on 16th March announced voting and result declaration dates for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The polls will be held in 7 phases from 19th April to 1st June, covering a total of 543 constituencies. Hyderabad is scheduled to vote in a single phase on 13th May. The results will be announced on 4th June.

In a shocking development, the Hyderabad Police have registered a Suo Moto FIR against a Telugu Journalist, Sridharan Siddhu, for bringing the plight of a Hanuman Mandir. Siddhu who is active on social media under the name Journalist Siddhu revealed that a case has been registered against him for exposing the plight of a 70-year-old Hanuman Mandir which is located at Kala Patthar in the old Hyderabad city. 

Siddhu stated that due to the continuous migration of Hindus, the temple was lying deserted and the Muslim population in the vicinity had increased.

While speaking to OpIndia, Siddhu revealed that there is an idol of Hanuman Ji present there, along with a conch and Chakra. The idol has been carved on stone. According to Siddhu, after Hindus migrated from the area, several mosques were built in the surrounding vicinity. As a result, the temple was left deserted, with no one worshipping in the Hanuman Mandir.

He further explained that the local residents turned the temple into a dumpyard. Over time, the Hanuman Ji idol was buried under over four feet of garbage that accumulated on top of it. A video of the temple shows how it is buried under a large quantity of garbage.

However, Hindu activists recently came together to take up the task of cleaning the temple. A prominent organisation named Gudi-Badi took charge of its cleanliness. It is worth mentioning that in Telugu, ‘Gudi’ means temple and ‘Badi’ refers to a school. Siddhu mentioned that after the cleaning, the local residents started dumping their litter again. On the occasion of Ram Navami on Wednesday (April 17, 2024), journalist Siddhu and his team reached there and once again cleared the garbage. Their cameraman also recorded a video.

Earlier, Siddhu was associated with the channel ‘Maha News’ for a long time, but now he is active on social media under his own name. According to Siddhu, people wanted an initiative for the restoration of this temple, which he expressed in his videos. However, he later received a phone call from Kala Patthar police station summoning him as an FIR had been filed against him. 

Taking to X, an advocate named Sagar has claimed to have filed a petition in the Telangana High Court to quash the FIR against journalist Siddhu. He also claimed that he was the one who informed Siddhu about the registration of an FIR against him. 

It is pertinent to note that Siddhu has also actively worked to uncover the truth during the riots in Bhainsa, Telangana.

Siddhu added that AIMIM has an ‘influence’ in the Kala Patthar area, and the police officers may also listen to them, but for now, there is no involvement of Asaduddin Owaisi’s party in this matter. Meanwhile, journalist Siddhu has spoken to Madhavi Lata, BJP candidate from Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency. Madhavi Latha has assured him that she would be present whenever necessary and she stands with him in this case. BJP MLA from Goshmahal T Raja Singh has also assured his support.

Journalist Siddhu mentioned that he had taken a byte from a local boy named Ramesh who has also been booked. Ramesh was the one who informed Siddhu about the dilapidated condition of the Hanuman Mandir. This is also the reason why those involved in cleaning the temple are not willing to talk to the media, because there is an atmosphere of fear. 

Currently, there is a Congress government in Telangana with Revanth Reddy as the Chief Minister. However, AIMIM has been running a parallel administration in Hyderabad.

OpIndia has accessed the FIR copy registered in this matter. It was filed based on the complaint of Section Incharge (SI) A Satyanarayana. The FIR states that Siddhu and Ramesh were filming around a Hanuman Mandir which is located near Aqsa Masjid in Bilal Nagar. The FIR states that in this Telugu video, the Muslim community has been accused of deliberately throwing garbage in the temple and hatching a conspiracy to illegally take possession of the land. According to the FIR, this video was made to disrupt Hindu-Muslim harmony and incite communal tension.

The officer in charge of the aforementioned police station is SI Sheikh Salim. This FIR was filed one day after Ram Navami. When OpIndia spoke to Satyanarayana about this matter, he refused to say anything. He mentioned that he is currently not on duty and advised to talk to the inspector. He couldn’t provide a response to whether it is a crime to show the plight of a temple?

In the Lok Sabha elections in Hyderabad, the BJP is raising issues concerning Hindus aggressively. When we spoke to SI Salim Sheikh, he said that his seniors are looking into this matter and only they will be able to provide some information.

It should be noted that even the previous KCR government had harassed journalist Siddhu. Notably, an FIR was filed against him for revealing the truth of the riots that took place in Bhainsa, Adilabad. In January 2020, he spoke to the riot victims in a 27-minute video report. Following direct instructions of Tarique Rahman, a convicted terrorist and acting chairman of Al Qaeda-connected ultra-Islamist Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), a so-called organization named “Global Bangladeshis’ Alliance for Human Rights (GBAHR)” has called for laying siege to the Indian High Commission in London on April 22 this year.

GBAHR is located at The Whitechapel Centre, 85 Myrdle Street, London E11HL, United Kingdom and has several “member organizations”, most of which are inclined towards ultra-Islamist bloc. It also has a Facebook page, which was opened on December 28, 2023.

While supporting the April 22 program of laying siege to the Indian High Commission in London, ISI asset and anti-Hindu propagandist, Pinaki Bhattacharya shared a poster on his Facebook page and wrote, “Spread it massively”.

Commenting on this post, SM Nadim Sawdagar wrote, “It should also be organized in Paris”. In response Pinaki Bhattacharya said, “It will be. Wait”. Another anti-Bharat and anti-Hindu disinformation peddler Abdur Rab Bhuttow shared the poster of the April 22 program and remarked, “We are going, you too also come”.

Surma News Group, a company that runs a Bangla daily named ‘Surma’ from London has joined this anti-Bharat notoriety as “media partner”. It also shared a poster on its Facebook page.

Meanwhile, pro-BNP YouTube channel named ‘Nagorik TV’, which operates from Canada and the United States organized a rally in Canada calling upon people to “boycott Indian products”. According to media report, owners of this YouTube channel, Tito Rahman alias Mustafizur Rahman Tito alias Tito and Nazmus Saqui are accused of being involved in numerous forms of criminal activities including extortion and blackmailing. Through this YouTube channel, the duo has been running vile propaganda against Bharat for years.

It is alleged that Tito Rahman alias Mustafizur Rahman Tito maintains regular contacts with members of the Khalistani terrorist group in Canada.

In Bangladesh, BNP and its ideological allies, including pro-Caliphate Hefazat-e-Islam are pushing-forward “India Out” notoriety through various methods. Their volunteers are deployed on busy roads in major cities for distributing leaflets of “India Out” campaign.

For the first time on record, two Boeing 747-400 BCF aircraft, capable of carrying up to 24,115 cubic feet or 108 gross metric tons of cargo, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka from Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The cargo aircraft’s, registered and operated by National Air Cargo Inc. USA, also known as National Airlines, landed in Dhaka on April 7, 1923 hours bearing flight no N8806 (NCR806) from Tel Aviv and departed from Dhaka at 2354 hours the same day.

The second flight, operated by the same company under flight number N8848 (NCR848), arrived directly from Tel Aviv to Dhaka at 1954 hours on April 11, and left Dhaka on April 12 at 0029 hours. Although both flights arrived directly from Tel Aviv to Dhaka, they made their next stop at Sharjah Airport in the United Arab Emirates after departing from Bangladesh…

However, on the evening of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, two direct flights from Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel, landed in Dhaka and left Dhaka in the dark of night….”

Who is Zulkarnain Saer Sami?

After being deported from Hungary, Zulkarnain Saer Sami (alias Zulkarnain Saer, Zulkarnain Saer Khan Sami, Tanvir Md. Sadat) landed in the United Kingdom and sought asylum. He has been funding and promoting pro-Hamas and anti-Israel and anti-Israel rallies in London and has turned into a potential threat to Britain’s national security.

In the recent past this jihadist terrorist threatened to behead a Hindu rights activist and professor Kushal Baran Chakraborty in Chittagong, Bangladesh and termed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a “terrorist group”, gave instigation against Hindus and branded RSS leaders as “top terrorists”.

It may be further mentioned here that, Zulkarnain Saer, a self-proclaimed journalist claims to be working with Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Qatari broadcast network Al Jazeera and the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP). Few months ago, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) issued a statement defending this anti-Semite, anti-India and anti-Hindu jihadist-terrorist. Sami has been threatening various individuals and extorting large amounts of cash by proclaiming himself as investigative journalist of OCCRP.

According to media reports, in Hungary Zulkarnain Saer Khan Sami was running a couple of restaurants including an Indian restaurant named ‘Curry House’ located at District, VIII., 1. Horánszky Street – Budapest, Hungary, where under the garb of restaurant business, he was running illegal activities including drug trafficking, money-laundering and terrorist activities.

Zulkarnain Saer on his social media platforms falsely claims to be a former cadet of the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) while he also claims to be a researcher at Organized Crime and Corruption Project Reporting (OCCRP)’ reporter of Israeli newspaper Haaretz and research analyst at Al Jazeera. What this jihadist-terrorist does not say is – he was expelled from BMA on charges of drug addiction.

According to media reports, Zulkarnain Saer Khan Sami alias Tanvir Md. Sadat was bearing Bangladeshi passport number EG0092902 (date of issue May 22, 2020). His birth ID number is 19830007842012539. He also possesses 3 more Bangladeshi passports number B1765649, BJ050260, AC5075647. His driving license number is DK-0014714L00009. His Hungarian ID card number is 000529284. His second wife’s name is Aditia Firoza Khan, Passport number BJ0520244.

Despite the fact that the father’s name of Zulkarnain Saer Khan Sami alias Tanvir Md. Sadat is Mohammed Abdul Baset Khan., in his passports Sami has on-purpose changed his father’s name to “Colonel Wasit Khan” with the ulterior motive of dodging law enforcing agencies from getting hold of his criminal records.

Prior to fleeing Bangladesh for Hungary, Zulkarnain Saer Khan Sami alias Tanvir Md. Sadat was arrested on July 21, 2006 in Bangladesh on charges of cheating local businessmen under false identity of an officer of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB). A criminal case number 43, dated 21.07.2006 was lodged against him under sections 140, 170, 171, 419, 465, 467, 469 and 472 of the Bangladesh Penal Code.

On May 20, 2022, Zulkarnain Saer Khan Sami alias Tanvir Md. Sadat established a company named ‘SAMS INC LTD’ in the United Kingdom. Company number 13411356. The proposed registered office address of this company is: Kemp House, 160 City Road, London, United Kingdom EC1V 2NX. Main reason behind establishment of ‘SAMS INC LTD’ is to shift his illegal activities, such as drug trafficking, money-laundering and maintaining connections with various terrorist outfits.

Hungarian media reports claim, Zulkarnain Sami operated several restaurants in Budapest, including VIII. district Curry House Indian restaurant. According to newspaper reports, the man was engaged in illegal activities under the guise of operating restaurants. His restaurants in the Hungarian capital are said to be a meeting point for people connected to illegal activities (money laundering, drug trafficking).

Sitting in Britain, this notorious jihadist-terrorist has also been maintaining connections with “Khalistani” terrorists as well as operatives of Pakistani spy agency Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI), while running vile propaganda against Bharat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJ)P), Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Hindus on social media platforms. According to a report by Times Now, there is a rift within the Congress party after Sandeep Dikshit alleged that Kanhaiya Kumar’s candidature from Northeast Delhi was pulling down the party’s performance elsewhere, prompting a showdown between the two leaders. A verbal spat ensued between the two leaders after Kumar allegedly responded to Dikshit’s allegations that his candidature hurt the party’s performance elsewhere in the national capital.

Congress announced Kanhaiya Kumar’s candidature from Northeast Delhi earlier this week, weeks after finalising the seat-sharing formula in Bihar, the state from which Kumar originally hails. Kumar, who fought from a CPI(M) ticket in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, suffered an ignominious loss to BJP’s Giriraj Singh from the Begusarai Lok Sabha constituency.
