Days after the Aam Aadmi Party won in the Punjab assembly elections, hundreds of the party members in Gujarat are leaving the party. A group of about 150 party members from the Anand district in Gujarat has resigned from the primary membership of the party on Saturday 12th March 2022.
These members have alleged the state-level party leadership of high-handedness. According to a report by the Times of India, they have also threatened that they will now appeal to all the AAP members in the state to leave the party. Interestingly, the resignation letters of all these members are addressed to the AAP president Arvind Kejriwal.
Ravi Patel, the state-level head of the farmers’ wing of the party in Gujarat, has said, “Six months ago, when we resigned from our posts en masse, we had urged the party leadership to intervene. However, since the party leadership has not taken any steps in that direction, we are submitting our resignations from the primary membership of the party.”
Ravi Patel further said that the Gujarat state leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party had dissolved the farmers’ wing without taking the local unit into confidence. Patel also alleged that the party leadership has misbehaved with Dipavali Upadhyaya, the head of the Anand district unit of the party.
Talking about his next plans, Ravi Patel said, “We will run a campaign for another 12 months urging all those who have joined AAP to resign from the party’s primary membership as the state unit is not taking local units into confidence. We will be exposing all the misdeeds of those leaders who are at the helm of the state unit.”
It is notable that after Delhi, Punjab has become the second state where AAP is going to make its government. AAP is eyeing Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh in order to become a pan-India substitute to the Congress party. Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assemblies complete their five-year tenure in December 2022. Efforts were also made in Goa where the self-proclaimed clean party with a self-proclaimed cute leader has managed to win 2 seats. But, AAP is not even able to retain its existing members who are leaving the party in large numbers at a time. Earlier, many corporators of AAP in the Surat Municipal Corporation have left the party and joined the BJP.
Brent Renaud, an American video journalist covering the Ukraine war, has been confirmed dead by the head of Kyiv police department. As per the police, Russian troops opened fire on a car with foreign journalists inside, and shot dead 51 yrs old Renaud in Irpin, around 40 KMs North-West of capital Kyiv.

In the immediate aftermath of his death, there were reports that he was covering the war for New York Times. However, they have issued a statement denying it. Even though he had previously contributed to The New York Times, he was not covering Ukraine war for them. The confusion occurred because he was carrying his old New York Times card.

Brent Renaud was a Peabody and DuPont Award winning filmmaker, and used to produce films and television programs with his brother Craig Renaud from various regions around the world. He had reported from various conflict regions, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti, Mexico and Egypt.

Madhya Pradesh has joined Haryana and Gujarat as the third state to declare the movie The Kashmir Files as tax-free. Third da into its release, the movie has become a blockbuster hit, and theatres across the country as reporting that their shows are fully booked.

Despite only having a limited release in India, Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files has become a smashing success.
Umesh Sharma, a BJP Spokesperson in Indore, reserved one full theatre to show The Kashmir Files to the public. People holding saffron flags and shouting patriotic slogans gathered to see the film. A significant number of people came and joined in Indore on Friday to see the film The Kashmir Files, which was released on 11 March. Umesh Sharma had booked the entire theatre for them. The Kashmir Files is a movie directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. It is based on the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus and documents some real stories when in 1990, turmoil in Kashmir erupted as a result of rising Islamic Jihad, forcing the great majority of Hindus to flee the valley. On Saturday (March 12), popular Bengali actress Rupa Dutta was arrested for pickpocketing during the 45th International Kolkata Book Fair. She has starred in the Hindi movie ‘Saathi‘ and worked in the Bengali film industry.
As per a report in Asianet News Bangla, she was apprehended while trying to evade after dumping a money bag in a dustbin. Her act raised suspicions in the minds of the police officials deployed at the Book Fair.
On being asked about the bag, the actress failed to provide a convincing reply. The cops then escorted her to the Bidhannagar North police station.
During interrogation, the actress broke down into tears. A probe has been initiated into the matter.

On Saturday, a man was lynched to death by a mob after he reportedly killed a 5-year-old kid in Assam. A mob of enraged tea garden workers burned a mentally unstable man to death after he killed a kid at Dholajan Tea Estate in upper Assam’s Dibrugarh district’s Rohmoria police outpost.
The kid, Ujjal Mura, was playing with other kids in the compound of Sunit Tanti, who was said to be mentally unstable by neighbours. Suddenly, Sunit Tanti killed Ujjal Mura by slitting his neck with a knife. After that, locals apprehended Tanti and set him on fire after hearing about the incident. While he had tried to flee after killing the kid, the locals chased him for half a kilometer, caught him, and beaten him. After that, they set him on fire.
“The minor boy, along with other small kids, was playing in the compound of Sunit on Saturday. Suddenly, he became angry and killed the boy by slitting his throat. We have sent both the bodies for post-mortem,” Shwetank Mishra, the superintendent of police of Dibrugarh, stated. “The situation was under control. The person was mentally unstable. We have started our investigation,” he further said.
According to Mishra, police have launched an investigation into the incident, but no arrests have been made as of now. The situation in the area is now under control.

Overall, the movie has received an enormous response, not just from the common audience but also from the movie critics and critically-acclaimed filmmakers. The box office registered 139.44% growth and is considered as the highest ever growth in the Bollywood industry in two days since 2020. The current total of the movie stands at Rs 12.05 crore.
The success of the movie is unprecedented, because it is not a typical Bollywood movie that becomes becomes blockbuster. Moreover, as box office analyst Taran Adarsh pointed out, the movie had faced several odds. The movie had limited promotions compared to major releases from Bollywood and southern states, it was not released during holidays, and it was released on limited number of screens. ‘The Kashmir Files’ film is based on the genocide of the Kashmiri Hindus by the fanatic Islamists in Kashmir in 1990 and the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus following that. The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, Chinmay Mandlekar, and Mrinal Kulkarni are in lead roles.
The film was opposed by many Islamists before its release. A petition was also filed in the Bombay high court after the trailer of the film was published on YouTube. The petition sought a ban on the release of the film, citing that it could potentially hurt the sentiments of the Muslims in the country.
The reality of Mushaal Hussein Malik, the Pakistani wife of Kashmiri separatist and terrorist Yasin Malik, who is working to promote Pakistan’s agenda against India, has once again come to the fore. A fact-checking institute in New Delhi has revealed how Yasin Malik’s wife tries to demean India and Indian administration at every level and leaves no stone unturned to defame India.
According to the Digital Forensic Research and Analytics Center, the accounts of many eminent persons from Pakistan are used to defame the Indian system. The only thing all these accounts talk about is that atrocities are committed against the Indian minorities i.e. Muslims in India. In this way, all these accounts not only incite Pakistani Muslims against India but also try to turn the Muslims of India against the country.
Mushaal Hussein Malik
Yasin Malik’s wife, who has 80,000 followers, is only trying to convince people through her account that Muslims are being massacred in India. She has been tweeting that the Kashmiri Muslims are being harassed and being persecuted here and that the women are raped.
She calls herself the Proud Wife of Yasin Malik on her Twitter account and calls Kashmiri separatists heroes. Not only this, but Mushaal also raises her voice in tweets for the bail of her husband and other terrorists. She has used the pictures of women in Kashmir to claim that the Indian Army is oppressing them, while the reality is that these pictures have nothing to do with the Indian Army and the so-called oppressions.

In the tweets she has shared, she continued to blame India for the persecution of Kashmiri Muslims and kept tagging the organizations affiliated to the UN to express her so-called grievances. She aims to defame India at the international level. In a tweet, she has claimed that since 1989, the Indian Army has raped 11,250 women in Kashmir, while more than 22,000 women have become widows due to the army.
This comes at a time when Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Kashmir Files which talks about the genocide of Hindus in Kashmir valley in the 1990s pioneered by Islamic terrorists including Mushaal’s husband Yasin Malik, has received phenomenal reception with the audience.

Yasin Malik, a separatist leader and the former president of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, is accused of terror funding in 2017. He has been arrested in this case. Besides, he has been booked for kidnapping former Chief Minister and later Home Minister Mufti Sayeed’s daughter Rubia Sayeed and killing of Air Force personnel. He has also been one of the primary figures who led the Kashmiri Hindu genocide in the 1990s.
In 2019, when Yasin Malik was lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, his wife Mushaal Malik had participated in Pakistan’s Independence Day event. Mushaal Malik had also recited a poem at the event held in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad. The so-called atrocities being committed by India in Kashmir were described in that poem. This is the same Mushaal Malik, who had called a press conference and had pretended to cry after her husband Yasin Malik was arrested.
Soon after the Aam Admi Party recorded a victory over a majority of seats in Punjab, the party announced a mega road show in Amritsar, which will be attended by AAP National convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. As Kejriwal, along with other AAP leaders like Manish Sisodia and Raghav Chadha arrived at Amritsar Airport for the roadshow, Congress leader Alka Lamba alleged that a total of Rs. 2 crore 61 lakh are being spent for the roadshow from government quarters.

Congratulations to Punjab and Punjabis,”
A notice directed by the Chief Secretary to government officials in Punjab including Principal Secretaries, Commissioners, Divisional Commissioners and SPs appointed in various districts of Punjab to make necessary arrangements for Chief Minister-designate Bhagwant Mann and elected MLAs’ visit to Amritsar on March 13. The notice alerted the officers to make necessary traffic and security arrangements for the proposed roadshow and planned visits to religious centres like Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple and Ram Tirath.
The notice further asked the Special Secretary for Revenue and Rehabilitation for asking the Finance department to allocate Rs. 15 lakhs to Amritsar’s Deputy Commissioner and Rs. 2 lakh each for all 23 districts of Punjab ‘for making adequate arrangements including transportation for the function’. Accordingly, the Punjab state transport was asked to provide a required number of state-run buses for the program. Thus, a total of ₹61 lakh will be spent from the public exchequer for the AAP roadshow in Punjab.
Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira called it gross misuse of public exchequer at a time when Punjab is in deep debt. He said, “This is gross misuse of public exchequer for politically motivated party promotion which is totally unacceptable at a time when we’re burdened with a colossal debt of over 3 lac crores.” He also asked Arvind Kejriwal to deposit the money back in treasury.

Apart from that, the administration is also spending ₹2 crore for the swearing in ceremony on the Bhagwant Mann govt. Alka Lamba shared the govt order for this also, which showed that the Revenue and Rehabilitation department has been asked to allocate ₹2 crore to the DC of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar for making arrangements for the mega ceremony. The ceremony on 16th March is expected to be attended by around 1 lakh people.

Maharashtra BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has slammed the Maha Vikas Aghadi government after a case was registered on Sunday 13th March 2022 against him and his brother Nilesh Rane for making a sensational statement that they suspect Sharad Pawar to be Dawood Ibrahim’s man. The Marine Drive police registered a case late on Saturday night against the two Rane brothers after BJP leader Nilesh Rane had made a statement against NCP president Sharad Pawar and his brother and BJP MLA Nitesh Rane had also made similar statements.
The case was registered against the Rane brothers on the basis of a complaint lodged by NCP leader Suraj Chavan at Azad Maidan police station for linking Sharad Pawar with Dawood Ibrahim.
After the case was registered, Nitesh Rane said, “A case has been filed against me & my brother over the statement I made. If MVA & Pawar Ji, have so much love for Dawood Ibrahim, then they should remove Gandhi Ji’s photo from their cabin & put up Dawood’s photo. Politics in the state has been heating up following the ED’s action against NCP spokesperson and minister Nawab Malik in a money laundering case. The BJP has been demanding the resignation of Nawab Malik while the Maha Vikas Aghadi is saying that Malik will not resign.

Nilesh Rane had directly linked Sharad Pawar to the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. In a statement, he had said, “I suspect that It is Sharad Pawar who is Dawood’s man in Maharashtra. There’s really suspicion. The person who has transacted and given money to Dawood’s sister and Dawood’s men and has given money to the men who bombed. What did Anil Deshmukh do? How quickly he had resigned? Was there any second thought in his case? So who is Nawab Malik? The one who has dealt with Dawood. Is there a fear that if Nawab Malik speaks the truth, the information about Sharad Pawar will come out? Is there such a thing?”
The Nawab Malik’s case
Nawab Malik has been sent to Arthur Road jail. He will remain in the custody there till 21st March 2022. In February 2022, ED had conducted raids in South Mumbai in connection with a money laundering case against underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and his aides. Close to nine places in Mumbai and one in Thane were raided by the ED including the residences of Dawood Ibrahim’s late sister Haseena Parkar and brother Iqbal Kaskar. The agency also took into custody Iqbal Kaskar who is imprisoned in Thane in an extortion case and presented him before the special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court.
Nawab Malik’s name appeared in the process of investigation after the intelligence inputs directed the agency to look into the hawala transaction while probing a money laundering case against Ibrahim, Iqbal Mirchi, Chhota Shakeel, Parkar, and Javed Chikna. The agency traced several hawala transactions linked to money illegally obtained through extortion, drug trafficking, sale of real estate in Nagpada and Bhendi Bazaar area of Mumbai, and other unlawful activities.
