Congress leaders change their name, profile picture to that of Rahul Gandhi: A bid to get themselves suspended over policy violation?

Congress leaders, the ones which are not yet locked out over policy violation, are changing their profile pictures and display names on Twitter to that of Rahul Gandhi in violation of Twitter policy. Congress General Secretary and Rahul Gandhi’s sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra too changed her profile picture. She, however, has not changed her name to her brother’s.

Priyanka Gandhi changed her profile picture

As seen above, Congress leader Shakuntala Sahu has changed her profile picture as well as display name to that of Rahul Gandhi.

Alka Lamba and Youth Congress

Similarly, former AAP leader and now Congress leader Alka Lamba as well as Indian National Congress’ youth wing have also changed their names and profile pictures to that of Rahul Gandhi’s.

NSUI

Congress’ Students’ Union also changed its Twitter name and display picture.

Srinivas

Youth Congress leader also changed his name and profile picture to that of Rahul Gandhi’s.

SSRajpuINC

Various other Congress leaders also changed their name as well as profile picture.

However, this little stunt of Congress could be possibly violating Twitter user policy.

Twitter policy

As per Twitter rules, impersonating and intentionally misleading people by changing display name or bio, the way everyone has changed their name to Rahul Gandhi, is also violation of Twitter policy. This could result in immediate account suspension.

Rahul Gandhi account withheld over POCSO Act violation

Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter account had been temporarily locked out after it violated POCSO Act by revealing the identity of the minor rape victim. He had shared an image with the victim’s parents, thereby revealing her identity. He was asked to remove the same but he did not. Subsequently, NCPCR wrote to Twitter to remove the tweet on its own over POCSO Act violation.

Twitter subsequently locked out Rahul Gandhi’s account over violation.

However, following the same, various Congress leaders posted same contentious image to show solidarity with Rahul Gandhi and subsequently, their accounts too were locked out. Now, other Congress leaders are deliberately flouting Twitter rules in what appears to be a bid to get themselves suspended so that they can cry foul that Twitter suspended their accounts on Central government’s directions. However, as one can see, they are in violation of Twitter policies and are deliberately doing it to get themselves suspended.

Watch: Taliban terrorists take over strategic provincial capital Zaranj near Iran border, visuals show their presence in all key locations

On August 12, a video was shared by Journalist Bilal Sarwary in which Talibani terrorists were seen enjoying food inside the Governor’s Palace of the Nimraoz province. The location is strategic in terms of connectivity with Chabahar. It is a crucial point of connectivity for India as well, as India handles the Chabahar port of Iran since 2017.

The video shared by Sarwary showed Taliban terrorists sprawled on lavish sofas and chairs, enjoying food and chatting among themselves at the Governor’s palace.

Notably, Taliban terrorists captured Zaranj, an Afghan provincial capital, on August 6. They also killed the government’s senior media officer in Kabul. Videos have emerged on social media platforms in which Talibani terrorists could be seen in all key locations.

According to a report published in Reuters, a Police Spokesperson in southern Nimroz province blamed the fall of Zaranj in the hands of the Taliban on the lack of reinforcements from the Afghan government. In a statement on Twitter, a Taliban spokesperson claimed that they had “completely liberated” the province and taken control of the governor’s house, official buildings and police headquarters.

Visuals show the presence of the Taliban in critical locations

Since the news broke that the Taliban took control of Zaranj, several visuals have appeared in which they were seen at critical locations. Pedro 47, a war correspondent with Radia Free Asia had shared visuals of Taliban presence at the airport and the major currency exchange market.

In a video shared by Tolo News, Afghani citizens were seen fleeing Nimroz to the border of Iran out of fear of the Taliban’s attack on the city. Still, the Iranian border guards reportedly mistreated them and sent them back to the war zone.

Several videos have emerged in which incidents of mass looting were visible. Reports have stated that there was virtually no resistance by the Afghan forces against the Taliban and the provincial capital fell under the terrorists ‘without a single shot fired’.

We had earlier reported on how the Taliban had captured five major cities, all provincial capitals, within just three days last week. While Zaranj fell on August 6, several other cities in Northern areas like Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul, Taloqan and Sheberghan fell in quick succession. Key infrastructures like army headquarters and air bases, police stations and warehouses have fallen under the Taliban, not to mention strategic roads and opium trading routes.

The Islamist groups now control around two-thirds of Afghanistan, and already control or about to control 11 provincial capitals. As the Taliban capture more areas, imposing Islamic Sharia law and executing opponents, civilians from those areas are rushing to the capital. However, this has created the risk of Taliban fighters also entering the city disguised as escaping civilians.

International watchers are now predicting that Kabul will fall soon too, effectively conveying the Taliban’s total control over the war-torn country.

International leaders urge Taliban to halt offensive strikes

Jeffrey DeLaurentis, a Senior U.S. diplomat, has urged the Taliban to halt the offensive attacks and seek a political settlement to protect the infrastructure and people of Afghanistan. Deborah Lyons, UN special envoy for Afghanistan, questioned the commitment given by the Taliban to a political settlement and told the UN Security Council that the war in the region had entered a deadlier and more destructive phase which is much similar to the war that was witnessed in Syria or Sarajevo.

Importance of Chabahar port for India

In 2003, India and Iran agreed to develop the Shahid Beheshti port of Chabahar, but the plan could not move ahead due to sanctions against Iran. In May 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi signed a bilateral agreement with the Iranian counterpart to refurbish one of the berths at Shahid Beheshti port and reconstruct a 600-meter long container handling facility at the port.

As it is located just 76 nautical miles (less than 150 KM) west of the Pakistani port of Gwadar that is under China’s control, Chabahar is one of the most important strategic areas of influence for India. Having control of the port operations, India can keep track of Chinese or Pakistani military activity in Gwadar.

It provides excellent connectivity to countries including Iran, Afghanistan and let India bypass Pakistan land corridors and Karachi port while transporting goods to the Central Asia region. In 2009, India also constructed the Zaranj-Delaram road that provides access to Garland highway connecting to four significant cities Herat, Kandahar, Kabul, and Mazar-e-Sharif. However, the Taliban’s terrorists have occupied the majority of the regions in these areas.

Ansar Khan, accused of making bombs for Delhi riots, was framed by neighbour Mujammil Alvi due to old enmity, reveals Delhi police probe

Ansar Khan, one of the accused in the Delhi riots case, is actually innocent and he was framed by his neighbour. Khan was accused of making bombs that were used in the February 2020 riots in Delhi. A Delhi Police special cell team and SWAT sharpshooters had raided a house in Loni in Ghaziabad on July 31 in connection with the case. The raid was basis a specific input that the house owner, Ansar Khan, had manufactured and supplied IEDs for the February 2020 Delhi riots.

As per a Times of India report, DCP Pramod Kushwaha, a veteran of interrogations, instinctively knew that Ansar Khan was innocent. The police team eventually nailed the neighbour Muzammil Alvi who had framed Khan due to personal animosity.

Here is how the cops unearthed the real perpetrator.

Khan pleaded innocence

The investigation team, while untying the knots of the case, was left clueless as to how the accused (Ansar Khan) sourced and fabricated the IEDs. Since the police informer had suggested that the suspect had terror links, the raiding teams went in armed. Khan was shocked when the special cell personnel discovered a rusted cylindrical container on the terrace. These containers had pipe bombs wrapped in papers.

The bombs were defused by the bomb squad and Khan was arrested in a swift operation. Khan, however, swore on his three teenage children saying he had never done anything illegal in his life and that it was a conspiracy to defame him.

DCP Kushwaha then formed a special team to investigate the matter further. He instantly believed Khan’s denial about having no knowledge of the pipe bombs. The suspicion led them to Khan’s neighbour Muzammil Alvi.

Alvi wanted to seek revenge

The answer to their ‘if not Khan then who’ was in the picture sent by an informer in which the roof of the place where the bombs were kept had yellowish-green stains. However, Khan’s terrace lacked such marks.

The investigators unearthed that Alvi had in fact framed Khan due to an old rivalry. Khan allegedly had requested for a panchayat meeting to decide what should be done with Alvi against whom there were several allegations related to harassment of girls. The two families of Alvi and Khan had been at loggerheads in the locality since then.

Alvi confessed to framing Khan

Alvi was picked up by the investigating team for interrogation. He was questioned about his whereabouts on certain dates but ended up giving conflicting answers. Subsequently, after being grilled, he broke down and confessed to framing Khan.

He admitted to fabricating the bombs and placing them on the terrace of Khan’s house. He revealed that he wanted to avenge the alleged disgrace brought upon his family by Khan.

Alvi further informed that he had bought potassium and other materials from the local market and then planted the IEDs on Khan’s terrace using a bamboo pole. He then clicked images of the bombs from this own terrace.

As the bombs have been recovered from Loni in Uttar Pradesh, the cops roped in UP police and filed a complaint against Alvi there. The special cell handed over the seized bomb and other evidence to the UP team.

An FIR under the Explosives Act has been filed at Loni police station and further investigations are on. Khan has been given a clean chit.

Saket Gokhale spreads fake news as one last hurrah as Congress fan before joining TMC: Read details

Former Congress party supporter and Rahul Gandhi fanboy Saket Gokhle, who joined the Trinamool Congress on Thursday, was yet again caught peddling fake news on Twitter.

On Wednesday, Saket Gokhale took to Twitter to claim that the Modi government spoke lies on the floor of Parliament. The self-proclaimed activist claimed that the government had lied about the wastage of food grains in FCI godowns, saying that there was “zero wastage” of food grains in the last five years.

Saket Gokhale posted an image of a questionnaire posed by BJP MPs Ravindra Kushwaha and Lallu Singh to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Administration to know how much food grains were rotten or wasted each year due to shortage of storage capacity in the warehouses of Food Corporation of India (FCI) and Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC).

Responding to the starred question, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs responded by saying that no quantity of central foodgrains stock (wheat and rice) has been wasted/rotten/spoiled due to shortage of storage space/godowns in the Food Corporation of India and Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) warehouses in the country.

However, Saket Gokhale, who has a history of peddling fake news, cited a dubious report from the far-left propaganda website The Wire to claim that over 1,500 tonnes of food grains were wasted in FCI godowns during the lockdown in 2020.

In his hurry to peddle propaganda against the Modi government, Saket Gokhale propagated fake news by mixing up public data on the wastage of food grains. Saket Gokhale put out data of total wastage in godowns (which may be due to various reasons) to claim that over 1,500 tonnes of food grains were wasted during the lockdown and misled his readers by suggesting that the Modi government was lying on the floor of parliament about food grains wastage.

However, the question posed by the two BJP MPs was not on the total wastage of food grains in the FCI godowns but regarding the wastage due to shortage of godowns or storage capacity. In response, the Modi government has provided the public data, which is availed to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

Hence, the tweet put out by Saket Gokhale claiming that the Modi government lied in the parliament when asked about the wastage due to shortage of godown or storage capacity is not true.

Image of a girl child surrounded by men in bondage sex costume wins award at Dutch Pride event

A photo featuring a young child surrounded by men in bondage gear at a pride event in Netherland has won an award for being “iconic” and the “most aesthetic” image, reports the Post Millenium.

On Thursday, author Andy Ngo shared this particular image on Twitter that showed a child in the foreground while a group of men in fetish sex gear stand in the back. “A woman claiming to be the girl’s mother said she opened her home for the men to change,” added Ngo sharing the image.

The image showed a small child smiling holding a children’s swing set while surrounded by men in bondage gear. The men, in shiny black shorts, were seen standing at the portico next to the little girl playing with her swing set. The photo is called “Celebrating Diversity,” and the image was reportedly captured by Jan van Breda.

According to the reports, more than 13,000 such images were submitted to the Pride competition. However, the image posted by Jan van Breda and two others received “laurels” for celebrating diversity.

The organisers had apparently asked to submit the “most iconic, meaningful and aesthetic photos for 25 years of Pride Amsterdam.” The “Celebrating Diversity” exhibit organised in Vondelpark featured the best fifty photos of the pride event.

After listing van Breda’s image on top, the jury stated, “This photo, in its composition – child in the foreground, men preparing for Canal Parade in the background, everyone busy with their own activities and fascinations – sublimely depicts what will hopefully remain self-evident: that we, unhampered by prejudices, and almost unsuspectingly, all may and can exist side by side.”

Similarly, Amsterdam Pride’s director Lucien Spee de Castillo Ruiz said, “For me, this exhibition means a lot of freedom. The entire community is represented. Young, old, trans, coloured, party, depth, struggle, it has everything. That is what Pride is. Pride is more than the faces people see on the outside.”

Another photographer – Jeroen Ploeger’s image of a lesbian wedding in a church, was also featured in the exhibit. “I think it’s important they are also able to marry in church and get their blessing from a priest. You don’t see that in many other places,” he said.

Pride Amsterdam was held from July 31 through August 8. The events included film screenings, street parties, and an event called “The Cunnilingus Show: ‘Snatch Game Edition,'” which combined “elements of stand-up comedy, games, improv, and drag performance.”

Blow to Rahul Gandhi as even Twitter activist Saket Gokhale joins TMC, says it is what he was looking for

Former Congress supporter, serial fake news peddler and RTI ‘petitioner’ Saket Gokhale today joined Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) amidst rising concerns of post-poll violence where BJP cadres are being raped and murdered in West Bengal.

While joining TMC, Saket Gokhale reportedly said, “TMC is the 2nd largest Oppn party in the parliament & TMC has been my obvious choice. If you look at all the national parties, TMC takes an aggressive stand. The way CM of Bengal has been fighting on the front foot that’s what I’m looking for”.

OpIndia has been identifying Saket Gokhale as a Congress supporter for the past few years for a number of reasons. Earlier, Saket Gokhale used to cite Rahul Gandhi as his ‘inspiration’. Gokhale joining TMC could be considered a massive blow to Rahul Gandhi since it shows that even Twitter activists are not reposing their faith in his leadership anymore.

Interestingly, the Rahul Gandhi fanboy, who also peddles fake news, seems to have abandoned Rahul Gandhi as the Congress electoral fortunes refuse to recover.

Last year, Gokhale had claimed to have collected over Rs 22 lakhs to take on the ‘BJP hate machine’ and launched a ‘campaign to take down hate-speech mongers’ on social media.

Time-and-again Gokhale has claimed that he intends to use the funds collected to pay for the expenses of people working for his campaign. However, there are serious allegations against Gokhale for misappropriating funds for his personal use.

Recently, allegations of fraud were made against Congress supporters and ardent follower of Rahul Gandhi – Saket Gokhale. Several people, including left-liberals, have accused Saket Gokhale, who often claims to be an “RTI and Transparency Activist”, of being a ‘fraud’ and have alleged that Gokhale collects money on the pretext of filing RTIs.

An AAP supporter named Amit Behere had accused Gokhale of wasting money by filing RTIs, which have had absolutely “zero return on investment”. He had alleged that the donations to Gokhale had obtained no results for the common public buf have benefitted only Gokhale himself.

It is pertinent to note that Saket Gokhale’s father was arrested in 2015 on the charge of protecting drug smugglers. Later, the court had acquitted him as Mumbai Police had no evidence against him.

Post poll violence in West Bengal

The statutory public body said in its report that, after visiting 311 spots in 20 days and carrying out an extensive inquiry in the matter, the seven-member committee constituted to probe the post-poll violence in West Bengal concluded that the current situation of the state is a manifestation of ‘Law of Ruler’, instead of ‘Rule of Law’. It added that the loss of faith in state administration among victims is very evident.

Attaching details of the same, the NHRC report stated that it collected a whopping 1979 number of complaints from 23 districts where incidents of violence had taken place post-Mamata Banerjee’s May 2 win.

Most complaints are from Cooch Behar, Birbhum, Bardhaman, North 24 Parganas and Kolkata, said that NHRC reports adding that most of the complaints related to rape, molestation, and vandalism and were received through local sources in West Bengal while the team was camping there. The statutory body added that a list of 57 complaints related to women was received from the National Women Commission.

Interestingly, the celebrate their victory, TMC has decided to host “Khela Hobe Diwas” on the very day that call for Direct Action Day was given – 16th of August. 16th August, the day when the call to massacre Hindus of Bengal was given by Muslim League founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Bengal, the only province in India under Muslim League rule at that time, was apparently chosen by the Muslim League leadership as the suitable place to unleash terror on Hindus in the name of “Direct Action”.

ISRO’s Earth Observation Satellite launch mission fails as the GSLV-F10 rocket failed in the third stage. Here’s what happened

0

India’s first Earth Imaging Satellite EOS-03 meant for the geostationary orbit failed to reach its orbit as the launch vehicle failed in its third stage, much to the dismay of the country. The Indian Space Research Organisation suffered a setback this morning when the GSLV-F10 rocket carrying the satellite malfunctioned about five minutes from the lift-off.

ISRO in a short update shared, “Performance of first and second stages was normal. However, Cryogenic Upper Stage ignition did not happen due to technical anomaly. The mission couldn’t be accomplished as intended.”

Cryogenic stage fails to ignite

As per the Indian Express report, ISRO has faced a few difficulties with the cryogenic stage earlier in some previous missions as well. ISRO in its update mentioned that their ‘Cryogenic Upper Stage ignition did not happen.’ The cryogenic upper stage has an indigenously developed cryogenic engine, which is fuelled by liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen at very low temperatures.

The role of the cryogenic stage is to provide greater thrust to propel heavier rockets like GSLV-F10 that are designed to carry bigger payloads into space. However, the extremely low temperatures needed (hundreds of degrees Celsius below zero) to maintain make these much more complex than conventional liquid and solid propellants.

A technical anomaly in this stage resulted in the failure of the mission. This was the 14th launch involving a GSLV rocket and the fourth failure with the last one happening way back in 2010.

This was the first launch in about six months with several missions delayed due to the pandemic. The launch of EOS-03 was initially planned for March 2020 but had to be put off, first because of some technical glitches, and then due to the pandemic.

The 51.70-metre tall rocket GSLV-F10/EOS-03 had successfully lifted off from the second launch pad on Thursday from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota as planned at 05.43 hrs soon after the 26-hour countdown concluded.

ISRO Chairman K Sivan informed, “(The mission) could not be fully accomplished mainly because there is a technical anomaly observed in the cryogenic stage. This I wanted to tell to all my friends.”

The EOS-03 satellite

The EOS-03 is part of the new generation of earth-observation satellites. The satellite will be capable of obtaining vital information for application in different sectors including agriculture, forestry and water bodies.

It is also equipped to give disaster warnings, cyclone monitoring, cloudburst, or thunderstorm monitoring. It also said that this earth observation satellite would provide real-time images of the country and borders.

Other missions involving GSLV rockets are planned for this and next year.

Women MPs who accused marshals of manhandling caught beating up marshals themselves: Watch

Opposition women MPs on Wednesday had alleged that they were manhandled by a woman marshal in the Rajya Sabha. However, visuals from the Rajya Sabha session show the women MPs P Devi Netam and Chhaya- both from the Indian National Congress beating and dragging the woman marshal (in white saree), contrary to the claim.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal too had informed that an attempt was made to strangle the woman marshal, however, the opposition continues to be in denial.

Yet another visual from the Rajya Sabha proceedings has surfaced where the opposition MPs can be seen assaulting the marshals.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other MPs of Opposition parties took out a protest march today accusing the Union government of not allowing them to speak in the Parliament.

Gandhi even claimed that the MPs were attacked by ‘outsiders’ called by the Centre to physically beat the opposition.

Rahul Gandhi questions the integrity of journalist who asks him uncomfortable question: Here is what he was asked

On August 12, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi got irked when a journalist asked him a seemingly uncomfortable question and accused the journalist of being biased against the opposition. Rahul Gandhi was speaking to the press during the protest opposition had orchestrated outside the Parliament. He accused the government of not letting the opposition leaders raise questions on the Pegasus issue, farmer laws, insurance bill and more. He also accused the government that men from outside were brought in dressed up in Blue Uniform (Marshal Uniform) to beat up the leaders of the opposition.

One of the reporters present outside the Parliament where Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders were giving speeches asked Rahul Gandhi, “Venkaiah Naidu said during his address in the upper house that he had never seen such behaviour in the Parliament. Leaders were tearing paper and throwing it towards the Chair. Some leaders threw files at Chair. He was blaming you [the opposition] for the ruckus….”

Before he could complete it, Rahul Gandhi interrupted him and asked, “Are you the government’s spokesman? Has the government asked you to say so? I am asking you. Are you the government’s spokesman? Do you work for the government?” The reporter replied, “I am from media,” to which Rahul said, “You are not from media. You are the government’s employee. I will tell you the truth about the media. Let me tell you. Let me tell you.”

“This was for the first time in the Rajya Sabha, Members of Parliament were beaten up. People were called from outside. They were dressed in blue uniforms. They beat up the Members of Parliament. And you are asking me that the chairman was unhappy. What is the responsibility of the chairman? It is the chairman’s responsibility to run the house. Why did he not run the house in the last few days? Why opposition cannot raise their questions in the Parliament?”

Subsequently, video released shows that it was the MPs, especially women MPs, who had beaten up the marshals in Rajya Sabha.

Rahul Gandhi then accused Prime Minister of selling the country to two-three business houses. “This is why the opposition is not allowed to talk about farmers, unemployment, insurance bill, or Pegasus in the house,” he said and left without answering the reporter’s tough question.

The deviousness with which an 8-year-old boy was framed for ‘blasphemy’ in Pakistan, facing death sentence now

“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children”, said Nelson Mandela. In Pakistan, the poisonous religious hate for Kafirs (non-Muslims who are ordained to be killed or converted to Islam) manifested itself with a young boy, all of 8 years old, being maliciously framed for blasphemy, a charge that attracts the death penalty in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The theocratic, autocratic, acronym of a “state” got the unique distinction of charging the youngest person for blasphemy – the wilful desecration of faith.

He was charged for the crime after he was accused to have urinated on the carpet of a Madarsa. The boy has been taken into ‘protective custody’ following the incident and he had spent a week in jail before receiving bail. His family have gone into hiding following retribution.

Following the boy being charged, a Bhagwan Ganesha temple was also desecrated in “retaliation” to the supposed urination in the Madrasa by the little boy. Videos emerged where one could see irate Muslims with stones, sticks and swords desecrating the temple – all because of trumped-up charges.

The malice, and how the boy was framed

Reports indicate that the boy had urinated in the Madrasa inadvertently. The 8-year-old boy entered the Madrasa which was attached to a mosque by mistake and was subsequently ‘caught’ by Maulvi Hafiz Mohammad Ibrahim. When caught, the scared boy urinated on the spot. Post the incident, the child’s father apologised profusely to the Maulvi and the Muslim community. He said his child was mentally challenged and did not know what he was doing. However, the irate Muslims could not really accept that a child, even if it is a Kafir child, can simply make a “mistake”.

An FIR was filed against the child and later, he was arrested. In retribution, a temple was desecrated by a Muslim mob and 22 parties comprising of religious organisations and political parties refused to condemn the incident. The head of the alliance even went on to say that the majority community, Muslims in this case, had the right to slaughter a cow right in front of a temple. Hindu community in the conservative district of Rahim Yar Khan, in Punjab, have fled their homes as well, after the Muslim mob ram amuck.

It is not hard to understand that a young Hindu boy, when being hounded by a Maulvi in the Islamic State of Pakistan, would be nervous enough to urinate in his pants considering they know the fate Hindus meet in Pakistan. Would his parents not have told him about keeping his head down and not entering mosques knowing what Muslims do to Kafirs? Would his parents have not explained to him what the ramifications of being a Hindu in Islamic Pakistan are? Knowing all of that, would the child not know the fate that awaits after he was caught by a Maulvi for his mistake? So it is unimaginable that the boy would urinate himself?

None of this was considered. In fact, the Maulvi and the irate Muslims said that the 8-year-old boy deliberately desecrated the Madrasa which was attached to a mosque. They considered it a deliberate act, that he urinated – out of fear.

One has to then wonder if the act of accidental urination was simply used as reuse to incarcerate the little boy. The Maulvi has to know that the act of urination was accidental. Even after the father of the boy said that the boy was mentally challenged, he was booked for blasphemy – an act that invites the death penalty. In reality, it is evident that the Muslim community of Pakistan wanted the boy arrested and murdered for “blasphemy” simply for entering the Madrasa. Simply for existing and being a Hindu in a state where non-Muslims are looked upon as Kafirs who should be killed or converted.

Recently, a Pakistani Muslim man was seen threatening and forcing a Hindu boy to chant ‘Allahu Akbar’. The victim was also coerced into abusing Hindu Gods and Goddesses.

The video was uploaded on social media by a popular Facebook user named Prakash Heerani. The accused, Abdul Salam Abu Dawood, was seen grabbing the victim by the collar and ordering him to chant Allahu Akbar. When the boy complied, the accused asked him to utter expletives directed at Hindu Gods. “Abuse your deities in the name of mother and sister…Say your God is a sister f*cker. You guys have polluted entire Pakistan,” Dawood was heard as saying.

Abdul Salam Abu Dawood, a native of Rahim Yar Khan in Pakistan, had uploaded the video on his Youtube channel with the caption, “Hindu torture by Muslim in Pakistan.” Following public outrage, he was quick to delete the video.

Dawood was also seen threatening Hindus with genocide and complete annihilation. In a video posted in April this year, he warned, “If we start killing Hindus in Pakistan it would only take 30 minutes…We will kill Hindu men and take Hindu women. We will procreate from these women and make them ‘mujahid’ (fighters/Islamic terrorists ). Don’t mess with us we have a lot of people (Muslims) in India that would not take time to kill you (Hindus).”

Two incidents brutalising and torturing children emerged in the last few days from the same area – Rahim Yar Khan – one of a child being forced to abuse his own faith and another, charged with blasphemy, falsely, simply because he existed as a Hindu in an Islamic state. To say that any of this happened because the Islamic faith was deliberately desecrated should ideally, be considered the denial of basic human rights in the face of state persecution. But it won’t, because the Islamic faith is ‘desecrated’ by the mere existence of Hindus and that in itself is a trope that has been normalised to such an extent, that it has become acceptable.
