‘I want Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to come and listen to my ordeal also’: Girl in Rajasthan who was abducted and raped for a month

In another shocking incident, a woman was gang-raped by two men in Siswali in Baran district of Rajasthan. The victim has come forward to narrate her ordeal in an interview with News Nation. The girl was abducted by two men on July 1, kept her hostage, regularly raped and assaulted her. She was rescued a month later.

The victim narrated that the perpetrators lured her into believing that her mother was looking for her. Her mother was working in the field. According to the victim, the two accused then made her sit on a motorcycle and drove her away. When she asked where were they taking her, the accused tied her mouth with a handkerchief. They also threatened to kill her with a knife, if she resisted to their actions.

“They took to me Hirapur and held me hostage for a month. Both of them raped me. They would also physically assault me at night”, the victim recounted. She said that the duo took her to Kota and made her sign on a marriage stamp paper. The accused also threatened to murder her if she did not comply with their orders. The girl was then taken back to Hirapur and put under house arrest. The accused also bribed the landlords to speak in their favour, in case police turned up at the rented place.

After the girl went missing, the family had registered a missing report with the police, but it is alleged that police didn’t take any action on it. After around, the girl found an opportunity to call her family. After that, she was rescued by her family with the help of the police, but the accused managed to flee.

After being rescued, the girl lodged a complaint with the police on 7th August. But even after that, the police was slow in taking action. After the incident came to light, the investigating officer in the case was replaced by the SP. The officer said in his defense that probe was delayed due to coronavirus pandemic. The accused are yet to be nabbed.

Victim slams Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi for ignoring her case

“They are consistently harassing us. We have been forced to leave our village and stay with our uncle for 2 months. The family is in a financial crisis. The two accused are roaming freely but we are forced to hide,” the victim lamented. She has alleged that the police dismissed the rape charges by claiming that she had married the accused.

The girl also slammed the Congress scions for ignoring her case while using Hathras case to further their political narrative. “I want to get justice. I want Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to come here to Baran and also listen to my ordeal. They go to Uttar Pradesh but cannot come here. I am also like your daughter.”

Investigation is underway, claims police

On Saturday, the police informed, “She went missing on July 1. She came to police station on August 7 & reported about being abducted & raped. We’re investigating the matter. Accused have not been arrested till now.”

Victim’s uncle alleges police negligence

The victim’s uncle also alleged non-cooperation from the police officials. When he requested a medical examination of the girl, the Station House Officer (SHO) Jitendra Kumar snubbed him by saying, “Am I your slave? Should I make a clay model of her and keep at the police station?”

Chhattisgarh: Congress leader and minister refers to gang-rape of a minor in Balrampur as a ‘small incident’

Congress leader and Chhattisgarh Minister Shiv Dahariya called the brutal gang-rape of a minor girl in Balrampur a ‘small incident.’ He said, “A big incident took place in Hathras, why is Raman Singh not tweeting? A small incident took place in Balrampur. He’s doing nothing except criticizing Chhattisgarh.”

The senior Congress leader was addressing the media after former Chhattisgrah Chief Minister Raman Singh criticised the government over the gang-rape and questioned whether the Gandhi siblings, Rahul and Priyanka, will demand justice for the girl.

Raman Singh’s tweet

Former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Raman Singh tweeted about the incident on 2nd October. He wrote, “A minor has been raped in Chegg, Balrampur. Instead of getting justice, the Congress government is trying to suppress the case.”

After Dahariya’s statement, Singh posted another tweet in which he said, “Look at the perverted mindset! The incidence of life with girls from Chhattisgarh seems to be small.” He asked Rahul Gandhi if the incidents of rape in Chhattisgarh are smaller for him.

The Balrampur, Chattisgarh case

A 14-year-old girl was drugged, raped, strangled, and left to die in a jungle in Balrampur, Chhattisgarh, on 27th September. The news about the rape got out on 2nd October. The police arrested 22-year-old Jaiprakash Agariya for the alleged rape of the minor. In the statement, the girl said she went to the jungle with a male friend to collect soil to build a mudhouse. Agariya grabbed her there and forced to swallow a pill that made her partially unconscious. A 19-year-old man Ghanshyam Gond was also present there who supported him in the act. The male friend of the victim fled from the scene.

After the flak over downplaying rape of a minor in his own state, the senior Congress leader on 4th October claimed that his statement was not about the rape but about the chain of events that took place after the rape.

“China has wiped out millions of nomadic populations in the border areas”, says Mongolian Human Rights group director

The Communist regime in China has been at the forefront of the persecution of ethnic and religious minorities in InnerMongolia. During a webinar[pdf] titled, ‘Global Campaign for Democratic China: Uniting Against Chinese Communist Party’s Repressive Regime’ held on October 1 by an Indian think tank named Law and Society Alliance, the Director of Southern Mongolian Human Rights Information Centre Enghebatu Togochog emphasised on how China is wiping out millions of nomadic tribes from border areas.

Southern Mongolia, also called Inner Mongolia by the CCP, has a population of about 6 million Mongolians. Enghebatu Togochog pointed out that since the annexation of Southern Mongolia by China, the Communist-ruled country has butchered around half a million Mongolians. He said that the population of Mongolians has decreased from 6 million to about 1.5 million over the years.

China imposes land-use restrictions on local herders

Highlighting the cultural suppression policy of the CCP, he stated, “In the 1980s, China started cultural assimilation and millions of Southern Mongolian peasants were tortured and pushed towards marginalisation.” He added that local inhabitants have been restricted from using land for large-scale farming since the past 2 decades. “They have enforced the entire Mongolian population from the centre to corners. Staying on grasslands is considered a crime. Herders who work on their own land get imprisoned or persecuted. China has wiped out millions of nomadic populations in the border areas,” Enghebatu Togochog noted.

China resorts to enforcement of its draconian linguistic policy

He reiterated how China subverts ethnic culture by the imposition of its linguistic policy. He noted that the National language, Mandarin, is being forced upon the ethnic Mongolians and how it is going to become the language of instruction in school textbooks. He stated, “In this final blow to the Mongolian culture, the entire Southern Mongolian people have risen up. From kindergarteners to middle school students, from musicians to taxi drivers, from government officers to party members, all have risen up against the Chinese authorities’ new attempts of cultural genocide. Mass arrests and enforced disappearances have become common practices. 4000-5000 Southern Mongolians have either been detained or disappeared in the past month alone.”

Enghebatu Togochog also pointed out other forms of persecution of Mongolians at the hands of the Chinese Communist regime. “Firing people from jobs, suspending herders from availing social benefits, denying access to bank loans, confiscation of properties, denial of degrees to students are some of the examples of this indirect torture. This also enables the CCP to command control over the local population,” he added.

Protests break out in China over forced Mandarin use

This decision was not well-received by the people living in Inner Mongolia. The people of Inner Mongolia have been successful in ‘preserving their traditional Mongolian alphabet’, unlike independent Mongolia. The latter, under the influence of Russia, uses the Cyrillic script. The Mongols in Inner Mongolia fear the same with the new Chinese policy.

The authoritarian Communist party was taken aback when parents launched widespread strikes along with 3,00,000 students. As such, when the school opened in this month, only 40 Mongolian students registered for the term while only 10 students showed up on Day 1. Parents of Mongolian children had earlier announced that they would keep their wards home instead of accepting the new language of instruction.

Republic TV says it will have a ‘final expose’ on Sushant Singh Rajput on Monday morning, sticks to ‘no suicide’ theory

Republic TV chief Arnab Goswami on Sunday said that the AIIMS report on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death is a ‘plant’ and questioned the hospital for not coming on record to release the final statement. Arnab Goswami also questioned why the ‘sources’ quoted by NDTV and other media houses were not coming on record to ‘debunk’ the ‘murder theories’. Arnab said that on Monday at 10 AM, he will reveal the details which will shut everyone up who is claiming victory in Sushant Singh Rajput case.

On Saturday, some media houses had reported that AIIMS had ‘ruled out’ the murder angle in Sushant Singh Rajput. Times Now stated that one Dr Sudhir Gupta has examined the post-mortem and viscera reports of the deceased actor and stated that it was a case of suicide. Times Now also took a veiled dig at Republic and questioned, “Will those who cried murder and maligned Mumbai police now introspect?”

Without taking names, Times Now directed Republic TV to ‘introspect’ for dismissing the ‘suicide angle’ and peddling the ‘murder theory’. It may be noted that CBI has not announced anything about the forensic report by the AIIMS team, and most media houses credited unnamed sources.

Earlier it was reported that the AIIMS report on the deceased actor does not rule out murder angle and that the CBI was to begin its second leg of investigation soon. No clean chit was given to the stakeholders in the investigation including Mumbai Police and Cooper Hospital where Rajput’s postmortem was carried out.

Sushant Singh Rajput death case

On 14th June 2020, actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment building. While initially reported as suicide, family members later alleged foul play. Investigation has then opened a can of worms including a possible drug scandal in Bollywood.

Motley of ‘international NGOs’ join Hathras politics, demand dismissal of Yogi govt

Hathras case politics has now gone international as a bunch of ‘international NGOs’ have written to United Nations Human Rights Commissioner and demanded an ‘international inquiry’. As per Times of India report, British MP Apsana Begum along with as many as 30 other ‘feminist groups’ and ‘Dalit organisations’ spread across UK and other parts of the world wrote to UNHR Chief Michelle Bachelet on the Hathras incident.

As per the report, British MPs John McDonnell, Kim Johnson, Bell Ribeiro-Addy and Paula Barker have also signed the letter. The ‘international NGOs’ have asked Bachelet to urge PM Modi to dismiss the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh and set up an ‘international inquiry’ into the Hathras case. They also demand an inquiry on crimes against women, especially Dalits, since Yogi govt came to power in Uttar Pradesh. The signatories allege that Hathras crime is a part of ‘systematic attack on women and oppressed castes’.

A lot of debate and political mudslinging has been happening around the Hathras case since the victim succumbed to her injuries in Delhi’s Safdarjung hospital on Tuesday morning. She was allegedly raped two weeks ago. The case attracted nationwide outrage when some reports claimed Hathras Police forcefully cremated the girl on Tuesday night without consent of the family members. The police had later stated that the victim’s father was present during the cremation.

Speaking to ANI, ADG Prashant Kumar had informed that the forensic reports that were awaited have also been received. ADG stated that the FSL report found no evidence of ‘rape’. He asserted that it was concluded that there was no sexual assault, and the cause of death was strangulation and injury to the spine.

However, the case has been politicised with politicians using the death of a young woman to score political brownie points. With the ‘international NGOs’ throwing their hat in the ring, the justice for the deceased woman now seems to have taken a backseat as politicians rush in for their 15-seconds of fame.

‘Bombs hurled, women karyakartas molested’: BJP pro-farm Bills rally attacked by TMC goons in West Bengal, Dilip Ghosh alleges political terrorism

Days after the Trinamool Congress created an atmosphere of panic in the state of West Bengal over the implementation of the historic farm bills, the BJP took out rallies statewide to disseminate information about the provisions of the bill. On Saturday, one such BJP rally was attacked in Nodakhali village in Budge Budge area of South 24 Parganas allegedly by Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers.

The BJP workers began their rally from Block No-1 in Bawali in Budge Budge to Satyapirtala. When the procession passed through the Shakher Bazaar, the party members reportedly came under the attack of Trinamool Congress goons. Soon, scuffle broke out between the two groups, culminating in stone-pelting and bombing in the area. The clash left several people injured on both sides.

TMC has alleged that the BJP workers had made objectionable remarks against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, resulting in provocation. They claimed that on being instructed to refrain from doing so, the BJP workers refused to stop and thereby leading to the violent clash.

The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress has also alleged that the BJP workers had vandalised one of their party offices. On being informed about the incident, the cops rushed to the spot, pacified both sides and detained a few people. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media. TMC workers could be seen chasing BJP supporters with sticks.

State BJP chief condemns the hooliganism of TMC

When the incident took place, the State BJP President Dilip Ghosh was spearheading a rally in East Midnapore. While reacting strongly to the incident, he tweeted, “BJP workers and supporters attacked by TMC goons while taking part in a rally at Budge Budge in South 24 Parganas. Bombs and bullet shots were fired, karyakartas were beaten up, shops looted and Mahila karyakartas were molested. Where is democracy?”

He had also shared a video wherein a wounded BJP worker, soaked in blood, stated, “Amra BJP korle dosh? (Are we being punished for supporting BJP?)”

TMC protests against farm Bills with guns, DJs and dance

Social media is flooded with videos where TMC leaders and cadres are seen adopting innovative ways to raise their disapproval against the farm bills, in various parts of the state. In one such video, a TMC leader named Abdul Lalon was seen carrying a gun in one of the rallies organised by the Trinamool Congress against Farm Bills.

With the festive mood setting in due to the much-awaited Durga Puja round the corner, the TMC cadres were seen dancing and singing to the tunes of a DJ. Huge speakers are also seen tied on a cart with a female dancer seen perched on it, to shake a leg. This so-called protest rally was being carried out in Bhangar, South 24 Pargana district, West Bengal.

Watch: PM Modi pauses his speech at Manali after a woman security personnel faints, asks his medical team to attend her

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Atal Tunnel on Saturday in Manali. During his speech at Manali, a woman security personnel performing her duties close to the stage fainted. PM Modi immediately stopped his speech and asked the security personnel standing there to help her. He also asked his medical team to attend her.

This is not the first time PM Modi has stopped his speech to ensure medical assistance for someone. In January 2019 in Surat, PM Modi stopped his speech and asked for medical assistance for a cameraman who had fainted.

Atal Tunnel

Built by the Border Road Organization (BRO) that develops and maintains a network of roads across the Indian border, 9.02 KM long Atal Tunnel will reduce the time taken to travel from Manali to Leh by five hours. During snowfall, the Ladhak Valley cuts off from the rest of the country for six months. This tunnel will ensure connectivity all around the year.

Hathras case: Bahujan support group accuses Bollywood entertainer Swara Bhaskar of hogging limelight, calls her ‘parasite’

Bahujan support group on Facebook, “Revolutionary memes for Bahujan teens” which has over 32,000 likes, has accused Bollywood entertainer Swara Bhaskar of trying to hog limelight in the Hathras case.

Swara Bhaskar accused of being a ‘parasite’

The Chandrashekhar Azad fanpage, referring to Bhaskar as ‘parasite’ said that she once studied sociology at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) but doesn’t seem to have read books and writings by Pierre Bourdieu, Antonio Gramsci, Jane Elliott, Peggy McIntosh, Malcolm X otherwise she wouldn’t have jumped at every opportunity to hog the limelight in the Dalit-Bahujan space.

Calling her half ‘Baman’ (Brahmin) and half Kayastha, the Bahujan support space suggested that she should start reformation movement from her own community and the states her parents come from, before hijacking Dalit-Bahujan space.

“Swara’s brother is married to a Joshi & she is in relationship with a Sharma. How conveniently these “casteless” Baman-Savarnas fall in love within their own Baman-Savarna communities no?,” the page said. The page further mentioned that her parents hail from Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, two of the states which top the list on honour killings.

The page further accused her mother, Ira Bhaskar, former member of Censor Board and a professor of film studies in JNU of discriminating against and fail Bahujan students. The page then revealed that in the above picture of Swara with Chandrashekhar, she was not invited to join him up there but she just jumped in, insinuating that she did it for the photos.

Hathras Case: CM Yogi Adityanath orders CBI probe to investigate the matter

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has ordered a CBI probe into the Hathras case. The decision comes after demands have been made for a CBI enquiry into the matter. Earlier, he had ordered an SIT to be formed to investigate the crime. Since then, the matter has become extremely polarised and several new facets have emerged.

The family of the accused has denied the charges and it is claimed that the accusations are false and motivated by an old family feud with the victim’s family. The Thakur community has also demanded that a fair trial be conducted into the matter and that the accused should be let off if they are found innocent after a fair investigation.

Meanwhile, a Jagran report says that the allegations of eve teasing were added on 19th September, five days after the crime, and rape was added, on the 22nd of September, after the matter was politicised and Congress leaders met the victim and her family. And the police consequently added relevant sections to the case and arrested the four accused.

A CBI probe has now been ordered by Yogi Adityanath to get to the truth of the whole series of events.

Images of a BJP leader used by opposition leaders to spread fake news that father of an accused in Hathras case is close to BJP

The Hathras incident has sent shockwaves across the country. While the investigation of the incident is yet to be completed, widespread protests have swept the country in the aftermath of the death of the 19-year-old victim, with people demanding exemplary action to be taken against the perpetrators.

Though the complete details of the case are yet to be unearthed, the brazen politicisation of the incident continues unabated as the opposition political parties view the turmoil as a providential instance to settle their past scores and rein in the BJP.

In yet another attempt to politicise the unfortunate death of Hathras victim and reap political mileage out of it, several images are being shared on social media sites with the claims that the father of one of the accused in the Hathras incident is a BJP leader, having proximity to senior leaders such as Rajnath Singh, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and others.

Opposition leaders share images to claim BJP leaders had an affinity with the father of an accuse in Hathras case

TMC leader Dr Kakoli G Dastidar shared several images of a man purported to be the father of one of the accused in the Hathras incident with top BJP leaders to allege that the the BJP stalwarts shared a “bonhomie” with the accused’s father and alleged that the BJP supported the assaulters of the 19-year-old girl.

Several other social media users were also seen circulating these images where a man seen along with UP CM Yogi Adityanath, PM Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is claimed to have been the father of one of the four accused arrested in the Hathras cas.

Another TMC leader, Paromita Sena, District general secretary of North 24 Parganas Trinamool Congress, also shared the pictures on Facebook to allege that a man alleged to be an accused’s father has close ties with senior BJP leadership.

Facebook post by Paromita Sen

Shiv Sena functionary Lalabhai Gadhavi also uploaded the pictures saying ‘Yogi ji and Modi ji seen with the father of an accuse arrested in the Hathras incident”.

Shiv Sena functionary Lalabhai Gadhavi shares pictures of a man alleged to be father of an accuse arrested in Hathras case

The image is that of a BJP leader Dr Shyam Prakash Dwivedi from Prayagraj

While the opposition political leaders would have us believe that the father of one of the accused in the Hathras incident is connected with the BJP, the reverse search of the images shared by them reveals that they are the pictures of a BJP leader Dr Shyam Prakash Dwivedi from Prayagraj.

Facebook profile of Shyam Prakash Dwivedi

The Facebook account of Dr Shyam Prakash Dwivedi has several photos of him with the top BJP brass. Dwivedi is the regional vice president of BJP Yuva Morcha’s Kashi division and a senior leader from Pragyaraj.

Thus the claim that BJP top leaders, including PM Modi and Yogi Adityanath, shared a close relationship with the Hathras accused Sandeep’s father is patently false and malicious. The images that are being shared to allege the same is of the BJP functionary Dr Shyam Prakash Dwivedi from Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj.
