‘Aapas me batoge to phoot phoot kar katoge’: Bageshwar Dham Sarkar asks Hindus to stand united against people urging ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’

Hindu spiritual leader Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, on Sunday, 3rd November, emphasised the need of having unity among the Hindus to stand strong against people who want India to become an Islamist nation.

While talking to the press in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Bageshwar Dham said that Hindus must unite and fight for Sanatan Dharma. He said that now several communities are dividing Hindus to establish their rule here but if Hindus stand united, no one ever will be able to divide Hindus.

“Aapas me batoge to phoot phoot kar katoge (If Hindus don’t stand united they’ll face death),” Shastri said. Further, when asked about Hindu rule in the country, he said, “Those people can demand Ghazwa-e-Hind so why can’t we demand Bhagwa-e-Hind?”

It is crucial to note that Dhirendra Shastri here was talking about the Islamists who want India to become an Islamist nation. Ghazwa-e-Hind is a fantasy that refers to the complete conquest of India by invading Islamist forces. Several Islamist terrorist organizations, like the banned Popular Front of India (PFI), had plans to make India an Islamist nation by the year 2047. During the NIA raids on several PFI hideouts, several incriminating documents were recovered by the authorities portraying Islamists’ plans to make India an Islamist nation.

Notably, comments by Bageshwar Dham Dhirendra Shastri come hours after he supported Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad’s demand to bar non-Hindu shopkeepers from the upcoming Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. Dhirendra Shastri asked that those who don’t believe in Lord Ram, want to enter the area where all the work is done for Lord Ram?

“Those who have nothing to do with Hinduism, nor with Hindu rituals…nor with our saints and sages, should not be allowed to set up shop,” Bageshwar Dham said.

Mere Angne me tumhara kya kaam (What’s your job at Hindu fairs), at Mahakumbh we have Triveni, Sangam, and worship of saints and lords, and it is clear that these people are least bothered and interested in Hindu rituals, festivals, fairs, and overall Sanatan Dharma. When you don’t respect Ram, why do you want to interfere in the service to Lord Ram?” Dhirendra Shastri added.

Dhirendra Shastri has been making several crucial comments in support of Hinduism. Recently during Diwali, he also slammed all those who called to avoid bursting of firecrackers during the Hindu festivals. He said that people have gotten used to the habit of blaming Hindu festivals for pollution.

“During Diwali, they say that bursting firecrackers cause air pollution. During Holi, they show fake concern for water. But these people forget to teach the same lesson during New Year. Why this bias and hatred towards Hindu festivals?” Bageshwar Dham Sarkar said. In September 2024, he emphasised the need for the creation of a ‘Sanatani Hindu Board’ in line with the Muslim Waqf Board.

In the given situation, Dhirendra Shastri, the Bageshwar Dham, has asked Hindus to stand united to fight for Sanatan Dharma. He indicated that if Hindus stay divided, they’ll eventually face death at the hands of Islamists.

Khalistani anarchist doubling as a Canadian law enforcement official? Police sergeant seen protesting with Khalistanis in his off-duty hours, videos go viral

On 3rd November, pro-Khalistani elements attacked Hindus at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Canada. Videos of Khalistanis protesting outside the temple went viral on social media. In one of the videos, X user Bellator identified a Peel Police Sergeant protesting with Khalistanis in his off-duty hours. The police official has been identified as Sergeant Harinder Sohi of Peel Police, whose badge number is 3071.

Anti-corruption advocate and former Toronto Police officer Donald Best also posted about Sgt Sohi on social media. In the video, Sohi was seen smiling and possibly saying “Indian Government” in response to the protest leader’s chants, “Who’s the terrorist?” Sohi was also holding a Khalistani flag and waving it in the video.

Donald contacted the Duty Inspector to report Sohi’s presence as a protester at the scene. In response, Peel Police Communications took his number and informed him that the Duty Inspector was at the protest site and would be notified. Donald mentioned that by 1:15 AM, he had not received a promised callback, so he published the post.

Peel Police have not issued any statement on the matter.

Sohi was not the only officer seen acting against Hindus during the protest. Another Peel Police officer was observed entering the crowd to confront Hindu devotees after pushing them back to protect the Khalistani elements. The officer who acted against Hindus has been identified based on a video shared by Peel Police on TikTok. The officer’s badge number is 4673, and his name is Aditya Pande.

Peel Police and RCMP officials also targeted Hindus for desecrating Khalistani flags. However, no similar action has ever been taken by the police against Khalistani elements who regularly desecrate the Indian flag.

Khalistanis attacked Hindus at the Hindu Sabha Temple

On 3rd November (local time), Khalistanis attacked Hindus at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Canada. The incident occurred after Hindu devotees protested against Khalistani elements raising anti-India slogans outside the temple to mark the anniversary of the anti-Sikh riots in Punjab, following the assassination of then-Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. Following the attack, local Peel Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) arrived at the scene. However, rather than detaining the Khalistanis, some Peel Police officers reportedly attacked Hindu locals. Videos of the incident have since gone viral on social media platforms.

Khalistani terrorist organisation Sikhs For Justice has played victim card over the incident. In a letter issued by SFJ, its founder, Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun accused Hindus of instigating the attack by chanting “Hindustan Zindabad” and “Modi Zindabad” in front of the Khalistani elements who were protesting outside the temple.

Canadian MP of Indian origin, Chandra Arya, expressed concerns over the attack and said that a red line has been crossed. In a post on X, he wrote, “A red line has been crossed by Canadian Khalistani extremists today. The attack by Khalistanis on the Hindu-Canadian devotees inside the premises of the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton shows how deep and brazen Khalistani violent extremism has become in Canada. I begin to feel that there is a small grain of truth in the reports that, in addition to the Canadian political apparatus, Khalistanis have effectively infiltrated our law enforcement agencies. No wonder that under ‘freedom of expression,’ Khalistani extremists are getting a free pass in Canada. As I have been saying for long, Hindu-Canadians, for the security and safety of our community, need to step up, assert their rights, and hold politicians accountable.”

While Arya openly condemned Khalistani elements for the attack, Canadian PM Trudeau and Leader of the Opposition Pierre Poilievre completely failed to call out Khalistani elements. Both party leaders placed their vote bank appeasement politics above the safety of Canadian Hindus in their posts condemning the attack.

Canada Border Security hired a Khalistani terrorist

On Monday, 22nd October, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) admitted while talking to ThePrint that Sandeep Singh Sidhu, who is wanted by the Indian authorities for advancing terrorist activities in Punjab and murdering a Shaurya Chakra awardee in Tarn Taran, is its employee.

“The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is aware of the articles and takes any allegations seriously. We can confirm that the individual you are referring to is an employee of the CBSA. Please note that due to the Privacy Act, we cannot provide details on specific cases or individuals,” the CBSA official said in an email reply to The Print.

According to the CBSA’s official website, the agency has a very complex procedure to make sure they hire the right people with the right skills and experience. It states that the candidate must go through a telephone integrity interview, a credit check, and law enforcement and security database verifications.

Canada has a long history of shielding criminals, terrorists and gangsters. It seems as if the government in Canada is now hiring them as police officials, border security personnel and giving them powers which they are using to attack Hindus living in Canada and the Government of India.

Mizoram CM calls for extra-territorial Kuki-Zo unity, had met ‘We Dravidians’ admin, Sheikh Hasina warned of US conspiracy to carve out Christian state

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma stirred the hornet’s nest after the transcript of his 2-month-old US speech went viral on social media.

The revelations were first made by political activist Savio Rodrigues in an article for ‘Goa Chronicle’ on Sunday (3rd November). Lalduhoma was an official visit to the United States in September this year during which he met members of the Chin community in Indianapolis.

Despite being the chief Minister of a bordering Indian state, he called for the unity of the Zo (Chin-Kuki-Mizo) community spread across Myanmar and Bangladesh based on ethnic and religious lines.

The development comes amid ethnic tension between the Meitei and Kuki communities in neighbouring Manipur. Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma called upon the Zo people to unite based on religious and prevent further division.

I would like to take this opportunity to address the elephant in the room and convey my apprehension that there is a real danger of our religion becoming a source of disunity and division, rather than being one that shepherds the flock and transforms the church into a united, strong and impenetrable fortress, which it should be,” the transcript of his speech read.

He lamented how the ‘Church of North East India’ could not become a reality despite different denominations of Christianity uniting together to form the ‘Church of South India’ and ‘Church of North India.’

While making a heartfelt plea to the Zo community to unite in the name of Jesus Christ, Lalduhoma commended the ‘Chin Relief Committee of Mizoram’ and ‘Myanmar Relief Committee of Mizoram’ for catering to the Kuki-Zo refugees.

He pointed out, “There are several revolutionary groups in the Chin Hills. There even are instances where two or three CDFs exist and operate within the same township. We belong to the same ethnic group and yet, for some reason, cannot work together. Leave aside cooperation, we have even spilled the blood of our brothers and sisters on occasion and this is a shameful, regrettable fact that we as a people have to face and take accountability for.

The Mizoram CM talked about different organisations, formed by them and working in Manipur on cross-purposes. “I am glad to note that steps are being taken towards unity and I am sure I speak for all present today that I eagerly await the outcome of these overtures,” he added.

Lalduhoma stated that the Zo Reunification Organisation (ZORO) is working towards unity and pointed out that the purpose of his US visit was to create a path of unity for the pan-Zo community. He also highlighted about the establishment of a Chin Unity Forum in July 2018.

Calls for extra-territorial ethnic unity undermine Indian sovereignty

During his meeting with the Kuki-Zo people, the sitting Mizoram CM made remarks that threatened to undermine the sovereignty of India.

Lalduhoma said, “I want to let everyone here know that the primary reason I accepted the invitation to visit the United States is to seek a path towards unity for all of us. We are one people—brothers and sisters—and we cannot afford to be divided or apart from one another.

“I want us to have the conviction and confidence that one day, through the strength of God, who made us a nation, we will rise together under one leadership to achieve our destiny of nationhood,” he added.

The Mizoram CM lamented that the Chin-Kuki-Mizo people were divided by boundaries and 3 different nations, hoping to transcend the territories in the near future.

“While a country may have borders, a true nation transcends such limitations. We have been unjustly divided, forced to exist under three different governments in three different countries, and this is something we can never accept,” Lalduhoma concluded.

Such remarks are unprecedented for a responsible, elected people’s representative tasked to head a key State in India’s Northeast.

‘We Dravidians’ admin met Mizoram CM Lalduhoma

In October this year, OpIndia reported in detail about an anti-Hindu Twitter handle named ‘We Dravidians’ and one of its admins, Sheikh Abid Hasan.

The supporter of the radical Islamic outfit, ironically named Indian Secular Front (ISF), had confessed to visiting Mizoram’s capital city Aizawl on Kuki money.

During the course of a Twitter space, Hasan remarked, “I went to Aizawl on Kuki money, okay?”

He claimed to have met a leader belonging to the Christian nationalist Mizo National Front (MNF), who had the potential to become the Chief Minister of Mizoram.

Interestingly, Sheikh Abid Hasan met Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) leader Lalduhona, who is now seen advocating for extraterritorial Kuki-Zo unity.

The admin of the now-defunct ‘We Dravidians’ had openly called for ethnic genocide of the Meitei community in Manipur.

“I know more about Meiteis than I know about kukis. Believe me the day my party forms Govt at the centre and in Manipur, we will completely annihilate you,” he had warned in a tweet.

The admin of the ‘We Dravidians’ handle also threatened to evict Meities from their homeland in Manipur.

In a tweet, he intimidated, “Maybe all Indians need to buy all Meitei properties or maybe we will lobby to declare Meiteis enemy of India and take away all your property. Push you out of India into Burma.”

Shaikh Abid Hassan attempted to incite people against the Indian government by claiming that it supported genocide in Myanmar. He also stated that such a narrative would help stigmatise Meities further and support the narrative of Kuki-Zo extremists.

When Sheikh Hasina warned of US plan to carve out ‘Christian state’

Prior to her undemocratic ouster, Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina warned that a plot was being hatched to carve out “a Christian state like East Timor” in the region.

“Like East Timor…they will carve out a Christian country, taking parts of Bangladesh (Chattogram) and Myanmar with a base in the Bay of Bengal,” Hasina had cautioned in June this year.

She promised to never let it happen, only to be ousted unceremoniously two months later. At that time, sources told Swarajya that a long-term project was underway to form a Christian state comprising areas of Myanmar, Bangladesh, and India and inhabited by the ‘Zo’ people.

Coincidentally, Mizoram CM Lalduhoma who visited US to promote Zo unity (as per his own admission) had also called for the unification of his community members ‘divided’ between 3 different countries.

Punjab: ‘Farmers’ are also against biogas plants that use stubble, only 5 out of 38 operational and none at full capacity

Punjab’s particular program to reduce agricultural waste is experiencing major obstacles as northern India struggles with a severe pollution crisis exacerbated by stubble burning. As a long-term solution to the stubble-burning issue, the government started a plan to establish Compressed Biogas (CBG) Plants which are considered as a sustainable solution to the stubble-burning issue. Nevertheless, the project has been halted by persistent farmer protests, resulting in only five of the thirty-eight facilities that were originally intended to be operational and none running at full capacity, reported India Today.

The CBG plants were intended to be a two-fold solution that would turn agricultural waste including press mud, cow manure and crop stubble into compressed natural gas. The goal of these establishments was to offer a sustainable way to deal with stubble, an agricultural waste product that significantly increases air pollution when burned. Instead of burning their crop residue, farmers were urged to supply it to these plants in the hopes that it would produce biogas and other byproducts while also reducing pollution.

However, the initiative has encountered opposition despite its potential, the India Today report stated. Four CBG plants have had their operations suspended due to protests, with farmers claiming that the plants are causing environmental damage. Additionally, they asserted that the facilities may pollute the air and soil, endangering the health of the surrounding populations. When the team from India Today visited a CBG plant in Gunghrali village (Ludhiana), they discovered that the facility, which had started functioning in 2022, had been stopped since May of this year due to farmer agitations that prevented it from operating.

Plant Operational Head, Pankaj Singh expressed, “The plant was established with the aim of tackling the stubble issue and also helping the environment. Today, Punjab is becoming a threat to the industrial sector. A total of Rs 70 crores was spent on establishing the plant. Although the plant is closed due to protests, we are still paying hefty EMIs and salaries to the employees. Not only this, three other plants in the region are halted, and we have been knocking on doors but nothing has been done by the state.”

“In one season, we get 35 thousand tonnes of stubble. With 30 tonnes of stubble in a day, we manufacture eight tonnes of CNG every day,” he remarked, referring to the plant’s capacity. Only five of the 38 plants that the centre gave to the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) have been able to begin operations. Pankaj Singh even emphasized that the problems with stubble burning would have been fixed long ago if all plants had been in operation.

CBG factories in Samrala, Bhuntri in Ludhiana, and Akhara in Jagraon were forced to close down as a result of the farmer unrest in Punjab. A farmer named Baljit Singh, who originally contributed more than Rs 2 crore to the CBG initiative and had previously given the plants stubble, told India Today TV that misconceptions over the intended use of the plants are to be blamed for the issue. He conveyed, “I had earlier thought about going to Canada, but I invested here in the interest of the environment. However, our farmers did not understand the entire purpose of these plants. We were attached to these plants and the allegations by farmers are baseless. Due to agitation, the plants are closed and as a result, stubble burning is happening rampantly.”

He added that many farmers have returned to stubble burning as a result of the chaos and that the prices for stubble, which were formerly as high as Rs 1,650 per quintal have now decreased to about Rs 150–200. Satellite remote sensing has shown a notable increase in residue-burning events linked to rice harvests in six Indian states, according to data from the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM). Satellites identified 861 of these occurrences on 2nd November with Punjab leading the list with 379 examples.

9,376 instances of residue burning were reported in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh between 15th September and 2nd November. With 3,916 instances, Punjab topped the list, underscoring its ongoing difficulty with post-harvest waste management. There were 2,302 instances in Madhya Pradesh, 1,272 in Uttar Pradesh, 1,036 in Rajasthan and 838 in Haryana.

The region’s declining air quality is a direct result of the CBG initiative’s setback and continued stubble burning, as per the report. On 1st November, the percentage of Delhi’s air pollution caused by burning residue increased to 35.2% from 27.6% the day before, the highest percentage for this season. The survival of Punjab’s CBG effort is in jeopardy as the smog situation worsens, torn between the prospect of a long-term fix and the realities of protests and ingrained agricultural practices.

Dalit domestic help beaten to death: Muslim couple torture and kill their 15-year-old maid, media outlets give it a ‘Diwali’ spin

On 3rd November, Chennai Police arrested Mohammed Nishad and his wife Nasia for the murder of their 15-year-old maid. Reportedly, before killing the minor maid, she was subjected to severe torture including branding with cigarettes and a hot iron pan. The dead body of the maid was recovered from the bathroom of the couple’s house. While the couple involved in the murder of the minor is a Muslim, media houses including Times of India and Hindustan Times connected the murder of the minor maid to the Hindu festival Diwali.

Media gave a ‘Diwali’ twist to the murder

Though the accused in the case are Muslims, media houses including Times of India and Hindustan Times gave it a “Diwali” twist. The Times of India prominently used the word “Diwali” in its social media post about the incident, omitting the names of the accused. The post read, “A 15-year-old domestic help died on #Diwali after being brutally assaulted by her employers. The couple inflicted severe injuries, including cigarette burns, and locked her in a washroom to die.”

Similarly, Hindustan Times did not mention the names of the accused in the initial paragraphs of the report on murder of the maid but noted that the incident occurred on Diwali. In the HT report, a separate section was created where the names of the accused were mentioned. [Archived link of the news report]

Details of the incident

The incident took place in Mehta Nagar which comes under the Aminjikarai police station area in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. As per reports, Mohammed Nishad and his wife Nasia had employed a 15-year-old minor as a maid. She was brought to Nishad’s house by a brother-sister duo for domestic work. The girl was originally from Tanjavur. She was doing domestic work to support her widowed mother one and a half years ago.

Media reports suggest that 35-year-old Nishad and his 30-year-old wife had been torturing the minor girl for several days. She was often beaten by the husband-wife duo. She was also burnt multiple times with cigarettes and a hot iron pan. Marks on the victim’s neck indicated strangulation. Both were recovered by the police on 31st October from the bathroom of the couple’s flat.

Police said in a statement that she was brutally beaten on the day of her death. Following the brutal beating, she went to the bathroom where she succumbed to her injuries. Following her death, Nishad and his wife locked the house and fled to hide at a friend’s place. The police were informed about the death by the lawyer of the accused. The police rushed to the accused’s house and recovered the body.

The body was then sent to Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital for a postmortem examination. Once the report was received, the incidents of torture and death came to the fore. The police arrested the couple and detained four others for questioning including the brother-sister duo who arranged the victim’s employment and the couple where Nishad and his wife were hiding.

A case has been registered under various Sections of Bharatiya Nayay Sanhita (BNS) and POCSO Act.

Those who have nothing to do with Ram shouldn’t be allowed in Kumbh: Bageshwar Dham warns against allowing ‘Non-Hindu’ shopkeepers at Mahakumbh

On Sunday, 3rd November, Hindu spiritual leader Bageshwar Dham Sarkar (also known as Dhirendra Krishna Shastri) supported Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad’s demand to bar Non-Hindu shopkeepers from the upcoming Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. Shastri asked that those who don’t believe in Lord Ram, want to enter the area where all the work is done for Lord Ram?

“Those who have nothing to do with Hinduism, nor with Hindu rituals…nor with our saints and sages, should not be allowed to set up shop,” Shastri said.

“People who know about Hinduism, its importance, people who know how to respect this religion, and the practice of worship can do the job well. Any other person of any particular religion, who does not respect Lord Ram, should not be allowed to do any kind of service during Mahakumbh. A few days back these people sold urine mix food, some spit on fruits and vegetables before selling them, this proves that they are executing some kind of conspiracy. This is the reason why non-Hindus should strictly not be allowed during Mahakumbh,” Shastri said.

Mere Angne me tumhara kya kaam (What’s your job at Hindu fairs)? At Mahakumbh we have Triveni, Sangam, and worship of saints and lords, and it is clear that these people are least bothered and interested in Hindu rituals, festivals, fairs, and overall Sanatan Dharma. When you don’t respect Ram, why do you want to interfere in the service to Lord Ram?” Shastri added.

Dhirendra Shastri’s statement comes a day after Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, President of All India Muslim Jamaat slammed Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad’s demand to boycott Muslim shopkeepers during the upcoming Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. “This decision undermines religious tolerance and could lead to societal division,” Maulana said.

“Denying Muslims the opportunity to participate or conduct business at the Kumbh Mela poses a serious threat to social unity. This decision goes against the foundational values of our country, such as secularism and social harmony. When we aspire to live together as a society, such decisions inevitably push us toward division. Any fragmentation in society will negatively impact the nation’s unity and development,” the Maulana added.

Maulana Shahabuddin urged the Uttar Pradesh government to intervene and reverse such decisions to promote societal peace. He asserted that every community, regardless of religion or caste, has the right to cohabit peacefully. He also warned that failure to collaborate could result in major issues for the country.

It is crucial to note that Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP), on 10th October, announced that only Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, or Jain shop owners would be permitted to operate during the upcoming Mahakumbh Mela, while non-Hindus will not be allowed to open shops at the holy event.

ABAP President Mahant Ravindra Puri stated that the decision is not driven by animosity toward any particular caste or religion. He noted, however, that repeated incidents involving food contamination have affected devotees’ sentiments. The Mahakumbh, scheduled to begin on January 13, 2025, in Prayagraj, will continue until February 26th, drawing hundreds of millions of devotees from across the nation. Preparations for the event are already underway.

Rajasthan: Smugglers with truck full of cattle shoot at cops and escape, authorities recover over 100 cows meant for slaughter from nearby forest

0

An encounter took place between the cow smugglers and QRT (Quick Response Team) on 3rd November at midnight, reported Dainik Bhaskar. 7 rounds of firing took place from both sides after which the culprits fled and left the truck behind which contained 25 to 30 cattle. A search operation was also conducted in the forest area, but, the authorities could not find culprits. However, 100 more cattle were discovered.

The smugglers had gathered the livestock in the forest to take them to the slaughterhouse. On the other hand, the police have not registered any First Information Report (FIR) even after 12 hours of the incident, as per the report. The case is from the Bayana (Bharatpur) Sadar area of Rajasthan.

Bayana Additional Superintendent of Police Hariram Kumawat informed, “On Sunday night at around 12:30, the Gau Raksha Dal had informed the QRT about cow smuggling. It was told that the smugglers were taking cows in a truck in the forests of Khohra Bachhena village under Jheel police station. A team of QRT, Sadar and Jheel police stations reached the spot along with the Gau Raksha Dal. The cow smugglers started firing after spotting the cops. They fired five rounds. The QRT also fired two rounds at the smugglers in response. The smugglers retreated into the forest, taking advantage of the darkness and running away from the retaliatory shots. They were reportedly preparing to take the cows from the surrounding area to the slaughterhouse by loading them in a truck.”

Station House Officer Balram Yadav mentioned, “The case has not been registered yet. The cows are being shifted to the Gaushala. Afterwards, a case will be registered under the Cow Protection Act, firing on the police team and obstruction in government work. Efforts are being made to identify the smugglers. 22 cows recovered from the truck have been sent to Ikran Gaushala in Bharatpur. 100 cows found in the forest have been delivered to Rudawal Shri Krishna Gaushala in Bayana.” The QRT team’s head constable, Surgyani Meena, highlighted that the smugglers gathered between 100 and 150 animals in one location within the dense forest. “The smugglers were preparing to take the cattle to the slaughterhouse in Mewat area,” he added.

Viral video of Iranian woman stripped to underwear: Ambedkarites, leftists, and feminists spar over who should go nude in India to ‘smash Brahminical patriarchy’

The Ambedkarites and leftist feminists have come at loggerheads over going naked as a potential method of smashing ‘Brahminical patriarchy’. The online war of words erupted after a video of an Iranian girl stripped to her underwear strolling inside the Islamic Azad University campus went viral. Reports say that the woman was protesting against the strict Islamic dress code in the country.

The video showed several Burqa-clad women passing by as the girl walked around. The woman was arrested on Saturday and the University spokesperson said that the girl seen in the video was mentally unstable, however, it is said that the woman’s actions were a deliberate protest.

An Ambedkarite who goes by the name “The Dalit Voice” shared a picture of the Iranian girl on X on November 3rd and said, “The revolutionary woman took off her clothes to protest against the atrocities being committed against women for wearing hijab. A woman should be free to choose what she wears.”

Quoting this post, a self-declared atheist and feminist X user named Priyanka Banerjee suggested that Indian Dalit women should also go nude on the streets to “smash Brahminical patriarchy”.

“All Indian Dalit women should do this to smash Brahmanical Patriarchy. It’s time to hit the streets,” Banerjee posted.

One X user questioned Banerjee as to why her ‘revolutionary’ method of going naked to smash Brahminical patriarchy was limited to Dalit women only and not all women. To this, another X user suggested that because Dalit women are said to be “suppressed”, they should be the flagbearer of the protests and go nude.

Two other ‘Ambedkarites’ came up with a genocidal method to smash Brahminical patriarchy with one of them openly giving calls to kill Janeu (sacred thread) wearing Brahmins. “Dalit women should take guns and find every Janeuc&&d,” the X user said.

Adding to the calls to murder the ‘upper caste’ Hindus, an X user shared a picture of slain dacoit Phoolan Devi who was behind the Behmai Massacre wherein 22 Thakur men were mercilessly murdered in revenge for her gangrape.

Several others slammed Banerjee for her suggestion to oppose Brahminical patriarchy with one calling Banerjee’s proposal “whore shit”. Another one suggested that the atheist-feminist should consult a psychiatrist.

Since Priyanka Banerjee’s X profile suggests that she is an LGBTQ+ supporter, an ‘anti-religion’ X user asked her to wear a rainbow flag in Palestine and Bangladesh and see how it pans out.

Meanwhile, another Ambedkarite, Shogun Gaikwad, called Banerjee’s call to Dalit women to strip naked as “reckless adventurism”. Amidst the Ambedkarite verses feminist online spat, a Buddhist found an opportunity to lure Hindu Dalits to Buddhism saying that somehow becoming Buddhist alone would sort out everything for Dalit women.

While the peedit, shoshit, vanchit Ambedkarites and the LGBTQ+ community usually appear to support each other with Brahmins and upper castes in general being their nemesis, in this case, the Ambedkarites decided to drop the charade as one Ambedkarite mockingly called the feminist-atheist, a “Hijda” [transgender]. “Try this on your own baman community hijde.” the X user told Banerjee.

Some ‘Bhimthusiasts’ decided not to smash Brahminical patriarchy the way Banerjee suggested with one even calling her on to initiate the movement of going naked to oppose patriarchy since Banerjee herself is a ‘Brahmin’. A Periyar fan resorted to abusing Banerjee and saying that she knows nothing about feminism and Brahminical patriarchy.

Suddenly, every other Ambedkarite, peedit shoshit and vanchit began emphasising Priyanka Banerjee’s ‘Brahmin’ caste even as she identifies herself as an atheist, feminist and LGBTQ+ supporter. It is amusing to see how conveniently the Ambedkarites dump their feminist allies over an opinion they disapprove of. And how easily anyone whom they oppose is branded as a Brahmin or their supporters, and therefore, a fair game to be treated with disdain and contempt.

Even as Ambedkarites and various shades of feminists reduced Iranian woman’s protest to skin show, the issue is about a woman’s agency to decide her clothing

While the Ambedkarite versus feminist fight reduced the Iranian girl’s supposed protest against the strict Islamic dress code laws in Iran to mere skin show, it is more than that. In Iran ever since the brutal killing of Mahsa Amini, a significant section of Iranian women have been fighting the mandatory Hijab laws to reclaim their “Zan, Zendegi, Azadi [Women, Life, Freedom]”. While the Iranian authorities called the girl mentally challenged, the Iranian activists say it was a deliberate protest suggesting that not the Morality Police or Islamist regime but the women alone have the autonomy to decide what they want to and what they don’t want to wear.

Coming back to smashing ‘Brahminical patriarchy’, it is beyond comprehension going naked will end patriarchy. Have the Brahmins imposed any mandatory regressive dress code on Dalit women? Do Brahmins or upper castes in general control who wears which attire? Probably, ‘feminists’ like Banerjee want to apply a “one-size-fits-all” protest model even as it is absolutely nonsensical given the cultural and contextual differences. While Hindu culture suggests modest dressing it does not impose a Hijab or Burqa-like dress code on women, neither Dalit women nor the ‘Savarna’ women. In the Indian context, Dalit women stripping to ‘smash’ the so-called Brahminical patriarchy or Brahminism which in reality is nothing but a postmodernist term for Hinduism allowing them a convenient way to attack Hindu Dharma and Brahmins, will only invite ridicule and dismantle nothing.

Waqf Board is a real estate company, how can Owaisi compare it with Tirumala: TTD chief BR Naidu slams AIMIM leader

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman BR Naidu on Monday criticized AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s statement regarding Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, saying that the Waqf board is a real estate company and questioned how he can compare it with Tirumala.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) chairman BR Naidu on Monday criticised AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s statement about the TTD and termed it baseless. Naidu said that the Waqf Board is a real estate company and questioned how Owaisi can compare it to a revered Hindu temple like Tirumala.

Speaking to ANI, TTD Chairman BR Naidu said, “This statement is baseless, the waqf board is a real estate company… how can he compare it with Tirumala? Tirumala is a Hindu temple. There have been demands for many years that non-Hindus should not be in Tirumala. It is not my personal (opinion)… Sanatana Dharma says only Hindus should be there. We are working on that and we will decide in the first board meeting.”

On Saturday, AIMIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi criticised the Modi government’s proposed Waqf amendment bill, questioning the mandatory inclusion of two non-Muslim members in the central Waqf Council.

Owaisi questioned that if Muslims cannot be trustees of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) then how can a non-Muslim be in the Waqf board?

Addressing a press conference AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Not even a single member of the 24 members of TTD Board (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) is a non-Hindu…The new Chairman of TTD says that the people working there should be Hindu…We are not against this, we just have an objection to the fact that Narendra Modi’s government is saying in the proposed bill of Waqf that in the central Waqf Council, it has been made mandatory that 2 non-Muslim members should be there…Why are you bringing this provision in the Waqf bill?”

“TTD is a board of the Hindu religion and Waqf Board is for the Muslim religion. There should be parity…When the trustees of TTD cannot be Muslims, how will a non-Muslim member be on the Waqf Board?” he added.

His comments came after newly appointed Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Chairman BR Naidu on Thursday said he would prioritise discussions with the government about employees of other religions working at Tirumala, considering whether they should be transferred to other departments or given voluntary retirement.

“I will talk to govt about the people from other religions, working in Tirumala on first priority whether to shift them to other departments or give them VRS,” he said.

The Waqf Act, 1995, which was created to regulate waqf properties, has long faced allegations of mismanagement, corruption and encroachments. The Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, which was introduced in the Lok Sabha this August, seeks to bring sweeping reforms, introducing digitisation, stricter audits, transparency and legal mechanisms to reclaim illegally occupied properties.

Following recent attacks on Hindu temples in Canada, the Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) has called for a peaceful protest today in show of solidarity against “Khalistani intimidation” and “anti-Hindu” hatred.

The protest on Monday has been called at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton and the Laxmi Narayan Temple in Surrey.

“Join us for a peaceful protest tomorrow, November 4th, at 6 PM at Hindu Sabha Temple, Brampton and Laxmi Narayan Temple, Surrey,” CoHNA posted on X.

“After a day of violence against Hindu temples in Canada, let’s stand united against Khalistani intimidation and anti-Hindu hate,” it added.

An Indian consular camp at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Canada’s Brampton witnessed a “violent disruption” on Sunday (local time) in Brampton, near Toronto.

Following the attacks, the Hindu Canadian Foundation, a non-profit organisation working for the Hindu community in Canada shared a video of the attack on the temple and said that the Khalistani terrorists attacked kids and women.

the Indian High Commission in Canada condemned the “violent disruption” by ‘anti-India’ elements outside a consular camp. The high commission also said that any further events will be organised “contingent on security arrangements” made by the local authorities.

“We have seen violent disruption today (Nov 3) orchestrated by anti-India elements outside the consular camp co-organised with the Hindu Sabha Mandir, Brampton, near Toronto,” read the statement by the High Commission.

“It is deeply disappointing to see such disruptions being allowed for routine counsular work being organised by our consulated with the fullest cooperation of the local co-organizers. We also remain very concerned for the safetry of applicants, including Indian nationals, on whose demand such events are organized in the first place,” the statement added.

The incident sparked widespread criticism in and outside Canada.Canadian opposition leader Pierre Poilievre condemned the attack on the Hindu Sabha temple, calling it “completely unacceptable.”

Canadian Member of Parliament Chandra Arya also condemned the attack on the temple and said that a “red line has been crossed” by Khalistani extremists, highlighting the rise of brazen violent extremism in Canada.

Kevin Vuong, Canada MP also condemned the attack and asserted that “Canada has become a safe harbour for radicals” and asserted that the country’s leaders have failed to protect Hindus just like they failed to safeguard Christians and Jewish Canadians.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also condemned the recent attack on the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton by Khalistani extremists. Emphasising the importance of religious freedom, Trudeau asserted that every Canadian has the right to practice their faith freely and safely.

Sharing a post on X, Trudeau wrote, “The acts of violence at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton today are unacceptable. Every Canadian has the right to practice their faith freely and safely. Thank you to the Peel Regional Police for swiftly responding to protect the community and investigate this incident.”

The recent attack adds to a string of similar incidents documented in recent years, underscoring a distressing trend of religious intolerance.
