Don’t want her to end up like Neha Hiremath: Ex-IAS officer appeals to save his MBBS daughter from medicine seller Abdurrahman

Ever since Fayaz brutally murdered daughter of a Congress leader, Neha Hiremath, in Karnataka, a debate around ‘Love Jihad’ is ongoing in the country. Meanwhile, a retired IAS officer posted a video in which he said that his daughter is also a victim of ‘Love Jihad’. The retired IAS officer accused a youth named Abdurrahman of deceiving and brainwashing his daughter. In a video shared with OpIndia on Sunday (21st April), the retired officer expressed concern about something untoward happening to his daughter and sought the government’s help.

The video features former IAS officer and his wife. After retiring, the former IAS, who began the video with the chant of ‘Jai Jagannath’, resides with his wife in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He has made an appeal to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The retired IAS officer shared that his daughter has been trapped in the web of ‘Love Jihad’ since October 2018. After doing an investigation at a personal level, the former IAS found his daughter’s whereabouts in Mawana, Meerut.

Meanwhile, IAS officer’s wife stated that following the death of a girl named Neha in Karnataka, she is concerned about the safety of her only daughter. She also stated that she tried everything she could to save her daughter from Jihadi’s clutches, but all of her attempts were futile. The family blamed the failure of their efforts on pressure from certain administrative officials.

The victim’s family also requests that the government take substantial measures to prevent their sisters and daughters from dying at the hands of Jihadis. The IAS officer’s family sees Yogi Adityanath as their last hope. The former IAS stated that he has committed 35 years of his life to serving the country. While speaking with OpIndia, the couple also stated that if something happened to their only daughter, they may not be able to survive.

The victim girl studied medicine in Ukraine

The retired IAS officer’s daughter and alleged victim of love jihad, is originally from Odisha and studied medicine in Ukraine after finishing her schooling in different places across India. She earned a medical degree from a Russian institute and returned to India in 2016, having studied in Ukraine while his father was posted in Delhi. During this period, the family resided in Noida. After returning to India, the girl started her internship at a private hospital in Noida.

Abdurrahman met the girl in Noida hospital

The retired IAS officer adds that his daughter met Abdurrahman while undertaking an internship at a hospital in Noida. He previously worked in Unani medicine at the same institution. The girl initially told her parents that Abdurrahman was forcing her to talk to him. Following this complaint, the girl was sent to work in another hospital. Later, the IAS officer was transferred to Rajkot, Gujarat. The girl insisted on continuing her medical studies and requested permission to stay in Noida for some more time.

The girl was burnt at her home in Noida

The retired IAS officer goes on to tell OpIndia that one day in Rajkot, he received a phone informing him that his daughter had been burnt in her Noida home. When they arrived in Noida, the girl was found in a hospital with burn injuries. Abdurrahman was also present, and he gave a vague response when asked about how she was burnt. During the police investigation, the girl stated that she was probably burned while unconscious. She regained consciousness while lying naked under the shower. The IAS officer got skeptical about Abdurrahman but was primarily concerned about his daughter’s health and took her to Rajkot.

The girl received treatment at a hospital in Rajkot, Abdurrahman was blackmailing her

The couple also told OpIndia that the girl had burn marks on her face and chest while being treated in a Rajkot hospital. The girl kept insisting on going to Noida to complete her medical course after some recovery. The elderly couple suspects Abdurrahman came to Rajkot secretly. As per them, he had taken numerous obscene pictures of the girl lying naked while injured, which he used to blackmail the victim.

Fake marriage at Arya Samaj Seva Trust in Ghaziabad, Abdurrahman claimed to have done ‘Gharwapsi’ in Hindu Dharma

The retired IAS officer told OpIndia that Abdurrahman took his daughter from Rajkot to Noida and then to Ghaziabad. It is said that in April 2022, he feigned to marry the victim at an organisation called ‘Arya Samaj Seva Trust’. Abdurrahman allegedly claimed in this marriage that he was doing ‘gharwapsi’ to Hinduism.

However, Ghaziabad Police filed an FIR in this case under Section 420 of the IPC. The former IAS officer’s wife contends that the marriage in which Abdurrahman refers to her daughter as his wife is illegal under the law.

Abdurrahman pressurising the family to withdraw the case

Speaking to Opindia, the retired IAS officer’s wife stated that Abdurrahman is pushing them all to withdraw the complaint by putting pressure on their daughter. The girl was not allowed to speak with her parents for a long time since they refused to withdraw the case. The victim couple was also informed that Abdurrahman had viciously battered the girl, who is now the mother of a child, countless times. They said that Abdurrahman frequently puts up the child’s photo on social media status while also mocking the elderly couple.

Abdurrahman’s motive is ‘love jihad’ and usurping the property of the family

The elderly couple are afraid that Abdurrahman has his eyes on their property. The duo stated that Abdurrahman is aware that the girl is the sole child in their family. We were also told that the retired IAS officer’s health is deteriorating due to emotional stress. His wife stated that by ruining her family, Abdurrahman has not only achieved the purpose of his ‘Love Jihad’ but also wishes to become the owner of all movable and immovable property owned by the family.

The family also told us that the pressure to drop the case is being caused solely so that if Abdurrahman kills their daughter later, there will be no legal ramifications. The family, who say their daughter was deeply brainwashed, has demanded that the case be investigated by the CBI or NIA. The IAS officer’s wife further said that Abdurrahman delivers drugs to her daughter before she can make a statement to any official and threatens to kill their son if she speaks out.

The victim’s family has requested that the girl stay with them for at least one month. In addition to the administration, the family has approached Hindu organisations for assistance.

Fake opinion polls: Axis My India files an FIR against Twitter handles that circulated fake polls in the name of the polling agency

On Monday (22nd April), the country’s leading polling agency, Axis My India lodged an FIR days after some netizens shared a fake opinion poll attributing it to the agency. The agency has sought action against the culprits and has named certain X handles in the FIR.

According to news agency IANS, some of the handles named in the FIR include @MahuaMoitraFans and @amoxcicillin1. The FIR also lists the links these handles used to share the fake opinion poll on social media.

Axis My India said that there was an inherent motive to build a positive opinion about the I.N.D.I.A. bloc and also to tarnish the name of the organisation.

Confirming that the agency has filed an FIR in this matter, Pradeep Gupta wrote, “Elections are won on the ground by gaining people’s mandate and not by creating fake polls. Individuals/ groups who try to create false narratives should know this basic fact. Taking strict action, @AxisMyIndia has lodged an FIR over the circulation of a fake opinion poll in its name and sought action against the culprits. Axis My India reiterates that it only conducts post-poll studies as per ECI guidelines.”

The development comes days after some social media handles shared a few pictures claiming that it was from an Opinion Poll conducted by Axis My India. The purported opinion poll, which was later found out to be fake, was titled ‘No majority for BJP, NDA has a slight edge’. It also claimed that the General Elections 2024 were evenly poised and the NDA doesn’t have the edge as projected in the media space.

Predicting a close contest between the BJP-led NDA and Congress-led UPA, the fake opinion poll gave 243 seats to the NDA and 242 seats to the I.N.D.I. alliance. While many X users deleted their posts containing the fake Opinion Poll, it still exists on the timelines of other handles.

Back then, Axis My India had pointed out that the purported Opinion poll being circulated on social media was fake. It categorically noted that the polling agency only conducts post-poll studies as per ECI guidelines.

In its official statement, Axis My India said, “With regards to the upcoming 2024 Indian General Elections, certain opinion polls are being published using the name of Mr. Imadeep Gupta, Axis My India, since the past few days, which are completely false (misleading). This is to inform you all that Axis My India never publishes any kind of pre-poll/opinion poll.”

Reacting to the fake opinion poll, Axis My India Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Pradeep Gupta said that the Opposition parties were deliberately pushing their agenda to create a ‘favourable’ impression among voters in the election season.

Speaking to IANS, Gupta added that it was an illegal and fraudulent act by the opposition parties for ‘electoral gains’ and for this, they were misusing the name of his polling agency.

Rajasthan police arrest Congress block president Taufeeq in cyber fraud case, his photos with Rahul Gandhi go viral

On 21st April, Rajasthan police apprehended a Youth Congress leader identified as Taufeeq in a cyber fraud case in the Jurehra police station area under the Mewat region of district Deeg. As per Dainik Bhaskar’s report, Taufeeq lured an Assistant Engineer into an investment group on WhatsApp and committed fraud of Rs 29,12,000.

Taufeeq was well-connected in a political circle which he allegedly used to save himself from police action. In an investigation so far, police found out that Taufeeq has done transactions worth Rs 9 crores so far. His photograph with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has gone viral on social media.

Reportedly, the victim, identified as Ashish Sahu, is posted in Bundi Discom. In his complaint at Bundi Cyber Crime Police Station, Sahu told police that he clicked on a link on an “investment page” on 22nd February 2023 that took him to a social media group of “investors”. The group admin sent Sahu an application link for download. It opened an account for Sahu where he could “invest”. Ashish added Rs 29,12,000 to the account. The money was later withdrawn by Taufeeq after which Sahu filed a police complaint.

After the case was filed, an investigation was launched under the supervision of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Kaman, Satish Yadav. Bundi cyber team reached Jurehra to apprehend Youth Congress leader Taufeeq. During the investigation, they discovered that Taufeeq was already lodged in Deeg Jail in another fraud case. Subsequently, the cyber team returned to take the production warrant and went back to Bundi to take custody of Taufeeq with support from Pahadi Police. During interrogation, Taufeeq revealed the names of four of his accomplices.

Taufeeq used to present himself as the Block President of the Youth Congress to evade police action. He actively participated in political events including Bharat Jodo Yatra from where he got a photograph clicked with Rahul Gandhi.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.

Congress and Bharat Todo politics: South Goa candidate says Rahul Gandhi agreed with him when he said ‘Constitution was forced on Goa’

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress candidate for South Goa Captain Viriato Fernandes has sparked a controversy by fanning separatist sentiments in Goa in his speech. During a public address, Viriato Fernandes was seen telling the people that he had met Rahul Gandhi before the 2019 elections and had told him that the people of Goa prefer dual citizenship (Indian and Portuguese).

In the video of his speech, Viriato Fernandes further says that Rahul Gandhi had asked him whether his demand (dual citizenship) was constitutional, to which he replied, “The constitution was forced on the people of Goa. Indian Constitution came into existence in 1950, but Goa was not a part of India then. Goa was made a part of India years later and the constitution was forced on us Goans. Rahul Gandhi then said, ok, you have a point.”

I am appalled at Congress’ Bharat Todo politics, says Goa CM Pramod Sawant

Responding to Viriato Fernandes’ claims, Goa CM Pramod Sawant shared that he is appalled at the statement by the Congress candidate.

“Our freedom fighters believed wholeheartedly that Goa is an inseparable part of India. Congress delayed Goa’s liberation by 14 years. Now, their candidate dares to undermine the Indian Constitution? Congress must stop this reckless Bharat Todo politics immediately. Congress is a threat to our democracy”, Pramod Swant posted on X.

Pramod Sawant’s post on X

It is notable here that Goa was under Portuguese rule till 1961. After the British left India, there were widespread protests and a long freedom struggle to liberate Goa from the Portuguese colonizers.

PM Modi highlighted how Nehru delayed Goa’s liberation

Former Indian PM Jawaharlal Nehru had for long refused to send the Indian armed forces to liberate Goa from Portuguese rule, and had even gone to the extent of vilifying the Indian freedom fighters as lawless elements trying to disrupt peace. He was so inclined to protect his international image of a ‘peace-loving’ leader that he had declared from the Red Fort that he wouldn’t send forces to help the people of Goa.

Nehru had even warned and shamed the freedom fighters and leaders that their efforts would get no support from the Indian government. Besides not letting the army perform its task to liberate fellow Indians from foreign rule, Nehru also opposed other revolutionaries from India who wanted to join the struggle to liberate Goa. A newspaper clipping from the late 1960s had reported the All India Congress Committee approving a resolution to call back Satyagrahis (peaceful protestors) to Indian soil. It read, “Any entry into  Goan soil by Indian Nationals will be inappropriate, and even individual Satyagrahas should be avoided”.

PM Modi in his parliament address in 2022 highlighted how Nehru had delayed Goan liberation.

PM Modi had quoted from Nehru’s own speech, highlighting how he had abandoned fellow countrymen and discouraged their struggle for freedom. Nehru had shown similar hesitation and reluctance in the annexation of other Indian territories, like Hyderabad and Junagarh. It is due to decisive leadership of Sardar Patel and action by the Indian Army that these territories of the Indian mainland were retained as territories of the Indian Republic.

Annamalai releases video testimony of husband of women beaten to death for voting BJP, refutes TN police cries of ‘false news’: Here’s what happened

On 22nd April, Shrimushnam police filed a case against Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president K Annamalai claiming he posted misleading information on social media about the post-poll death of a woman in village Pakkirimaniyam of district Cuddalore. A case was filed against Annamalai under Sections 153, 504 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

After the reports by local media, Annamalai posted on X that the 45-year-old woman was allegedly beaten to death by DMK goons for voting for the BJP. Tamil Nadu police, however, refuted the claims. The Tamil Nadu police claimed that the woman in question was beaten to death over a family feud and personal enmity, not because she voted BJP. Several other social media users were also booked in a separate case for sharing similar information on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The refutation by the Tamil Nadu police was used on social media by many to discredit claims of poll violence leading to the murder of Gomathi.

After the FIR was filed against K Annamalai, he took to Twitter to debunk the claims of the police.

Taking to X (Twitter), Annamalai posted a video where the husband of the deceased woman was giving his testimony, rubbishing claims of the Tamil Nadu police about previous enmity leading to the lynching of his wife. He confirms that there was no previous enmity and Gomathi was beaten to death because she voted for BJP and not DMK.

In the social media post, K Annamalai said, “I understand that the Fascist DMK Govt has filed an FIR on my name for exposing the truth about Smt Gomathi’s murder by DMK Goons.

Listen to Smt. Gomathi’s husband & her relatives confirmed that it wasn’t some previous enmity, and the real reason is that she voted for the BJP, which led to her being beaten up by DMK Goons.

Fascist DMK cannot silence our voices by filing frivolous cases such as these, as many cases, including the ones filed by TN CM Thiru MK Stalin, have been filed against us for being the voice of the people & for exposing the truth.

Thiru MK Stalin, the day of your ouster is not far. File as many cases as you want; we won’t compromise & budge!

In the video, a person was seen asking the husband why the police claim the incident happened as there was a previous enmity and not because she voted for the Lotus symbol. Her husband said, “No, no. Not at all. These statements (of the police) have different motives.” The man asked, “So the fight erupted because she voted for the Lotus symbol?” Someone sitting there said, “Yes, that is the reason.” Another man in the video said, “The opposition knew the vote would go for the Lotus. Based on this they mocked and bullied. Police are changing the story.”

Alt News’s Mohammed Zubair pushed an FIR against those who reported the case

Notably, on 21st April, Alt News co-founder and propagandist Mohammad Zubair pushed for FIRs against those who reported the matter including X user MrSinha_. In a post on X, he shared screenshots of Sinha’s X post, OpIndia’s report and a statement issued by Tamil Nadu police and said, “Fake News and disinformation by (Nupur J Sharma) @UnSubtleDesi of OpIndia and MrSinha_ on the death of a woman in Tamil Nadu. They claimed that she was attacked for not voting for DMK and for voting for BJP. Fact: The incident happened due to previous enmity between two groups.”

Source: X

After X user Mr Sinha had posted the news from local media reports, Tamil Nadu police directly threatened him with legal action. Mr Sinha took to X to say that he had deleted his post but questioned by the police was going after him instead of the news agencies which reported the incident.

He later confirmed that an FIR had indeed been filed against him and that Annamalai spoke to him assuring help.

Murder of Gomathi allegedly for voting BJP in Lok Sabha Elections, K Annamalai had reacted

On 19th April, a mob of Dravidra Munnetra Kazagham (DMK) workers allegedly attacked a woman named Gomathi for voting for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as per local reports. The incident occurred in the Pakkirimaniyam village in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. As per a report by Dinamalar, the DMK goons came to the residence of Gomathi after learning that she had voted for the BJP.

They had a heated argument with the victim, following which they brutally assaulted her. “Why didn’t you vote for our party,” they were heard saying.

On learning about the incident, the police reached the place and transferred Gomathi’s body to the Vrudhachalam Government Hospital for autopsy. Reacting to the incident, Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai called it a very shocking incident. He tweeted that ‘DMK’s dictatorial tendency to do away with even the basic right of voting given to the citizens by the Constitution is very dangerous for democracy.’

However, later Tamil Nadu police denied the political angle to the incident and claimed that the woman died as a result of a feud between two families. In a statement issued responding to the reports of the incident, Cuddalore District Police claimed that the woman died after falling while trying to stop a fight between two families.

‘Neha’s murder is like The Kerala Story, she was stalked, Fayaz’s sister is trying to make college photos viral to defame my daughter’: Niranjan Hiremath

Days after the brutal murder of Neha Hiremath in Karnataka’s Hubbali, the victim’s father Niranjan Hiremath spoke to Times Now narrating that his daughter’s murder is more than just a singular incident of crime and she was specifically targeted in ‘Kerala Story’ style. Corporator Niranjan Hiremath stated that there is a mafia-style group that is involved in targeting girls from certain communities and families.

In the same interview with Times Now, Niranjan Hiremath added that the killer Fayaz, after getting rejected by Neha, had continued stalking her. Neha’s every movement was followed and he had engaged a group of people to know all the details like the timings of coming to college, the gates she used to enter through, the classes she attended, and the places she visited.

Niranjan Hiremath stated that it is an elaborate conspiracy to target some bright girls of certain families and systematically stalk them, trying to trap them in love affairs, just as they showed in the movie ‘The Kerala Story’.

Hiremath stated that he has requested the college authorities to give the CCTV footage to the authorities and CID too. “A proper investigation will reveal how many people were involved in this operation. This operation has happened like Kerala Story movie. Fayaz kept approaching my daughter even after being rejected multiple times. I am not blaming a particular community. But this pattern of targeting and stalking Hindu girls has been going on for a long time.”

“Neha tried to avoid Fayaz. She had told her mother that a former student of the college has been stalking and harassing her. I have asked around, tried to make inquiries and from the reports i have received, I can tell with certainty that this is not one person’s crime. A group was involved in the stalking and systematic targeting of Neha and other girls like Neha”, he stated.

“That person’s (Fayaz’s) father, mother and sister have all spoke to media. They are all involved in this. His sister is deliberately selecting photos from old college functions where Neha had participated in events, and trying to make them viral, with a motive to defame my daughter”, Hiremath told.

Yesterday, Niranjan Hiremath stated that Neha had turned down Fayaz’s proposals because she was interested in higher studies and didn’t want to convert. Neha was pursuing MCA, while her former batchmate Fayaz was a college dropout.

The Karnataka government has from the beginning tried to deny a religious angle in the crime. But Neha’s family has been clear from the beginning that it is a case of love jihad and Neha was systematically targeted by Fayaz.

Neha Hiremath was stabbed to death on 18th April by Fayaz at B V Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology in Hubbali and the entire incident was captured on camera. She had rejected his overtures to get into a relationship, despite his persistent attempts to convince her. He killed her because he was reportedly dismayed and angry after Neha’s rejection.

‘Send Congress and SP on five-year leave so that they can read Fatiha at the graves of mafias in those years’: UP CM Yogi Adityanath to voters

During his campaign for the Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha seat, Raj Kumar Chahar, the BJP’s candidate, Adityanath highlighted the significance of Brajbhoomi in Uttar Pradesh, paralleling its importance to that of Ayodhya and Kashi. He asserted that just as these places have fulfilled their aspirations, it is now Brajbhoomi’s time to shine. Chahar, who currently holds the seat and serves as the national president of the BJP’s Kisan Morcha, is up against competition from BSP’s Ram Niwas Sharma and Congress candidate Ram Nath Sikarwar.

The Fatehpur Sikri seat will undergo voting on May 7.

“Convey to them that they will vote for the lotus symbol and grant themselves a five-year break. They can read Fatiha at the graves of criminals for five years,” the Chief Minister remarked.

The Chief Minister’s reference to offering Fatiha was sparked by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s recent visit to the home of the late mafia-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari to offer condolences to his family.

The CM pointed out the contrasting priorities between the BJP and the Opposition, highlighting that while the BJP focuses on national interests, the Opposition often emphasizes caste, community, and dynastic considerations.

He cautioned against the divisive tactics of the opposition, which prioritize narrow caste, communal, or familial interests over the welfare of the entire nation. In contrast, the BJP’s ethos revolves around “sabka saath, sabka vikas” (development for all), ensuring that welfare schemes reach every citizen regardless of caste or communal affiliations. The CM reiterated that the BJP’s commitment lies in providing security and development to all, without resorting to appeasement.

The CM drew a comparison with Pakistan, noting that despite its larger geographical area compared to its population in 1947, millions of people in Pakistan currently suffer from food insecurity, while India provides free rations to 80 crore citizens.

Furthermore, he highlighted the significant strides made in poverty alleviation, with at least 22 crore people lifted out of poverty over the past decade. He accused leaders of the SP, BSP, and Congress of attempting to divert funds meant for the poor and farmers, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated numerous welfare measures aimed at benefiting them.

USA is no longer a democracy: Tucker Carlson on the Joe Rogan podcast says intel agencies are controlling elected representatives

In a podcast with Joe Rogan, popular US journalist Tucker Carlson revealed that the members of Congress (elected representatives in the US) are terrified of the Intel agencies. He asserted that because they are afraid of the Intel agencies, they allow their abuse of power to go unchecked and let these unelected persons make important decisions. Based on his conversations with several elected officials, Carlson stressed that the USA is no longer a democracy rather it may resemble tyranny (of unelected).

Carlson emphasised that even those responsible for overseeing the intelligence agencies and their undisclosed ‘black budgets’, are afraid of them. He further explained his point with the analogy of parents and their children, adding that the situation is such that the parents are afraid of their children.

He said, “Members of Congress are terrified of the intel agencies. I’m not guessing at that…They have told me that including people who run the Intel committee. The people whose job it is to oversee and keep in line, these enormous secretive agencies whose budgets we can’t know. They are ‘black budgets’. They are the parents. The agencies are the children. (Yet) They’re afraid of the agencies.”

Carlson then highlighted that in a democracy people rule through their elected representatives and they express their preferences through voting. But when unelected people, without any accountability, start making major decisions, it can’t be called a democracy, he noted.

Raising questions on the democratic credentials of the US, Carlson added, “Whenever you have unelected people who are not accountable to anyone making the biggest decisions, you don’t have a democracy. You have something else, another system. I would call it a tyranny, or whatever you want to call it, it’s not a democracy.

According to him, while it’s playing out in front of everyone and is super obvious, no one cares or does anything about it because they’re threatened.

Carlson said while he doesn’t have evidence to prove that the elected officials are being ‘blackmailed’ or ‘compromised’ because they fear getting exposed, it is not beyond imagination the reason why they are allowing agencies to do it. He added that he knows these people and it is a fact that all of them have ‘secrets’ to hide.

He said, “If you look at the committee chairman who allows this s**t to happen year after year, allows warrantless spying on Americans to continue or whatever abuse (of power to Intel agencies) they’re allowing, knowing fully or hiding the truth about UAPs, ignoring the UAP disclosure act of 2023. Like why are they doing that? It’s not impossible to imagine that some guy has a drinking problem or a weird s*x life, that’s very common up there. That’s why they are doing it. Cause they don’t wanna be exposed.”

It is pertinent to note that the development comes at a time when the US administration debated to reauthorise a spy program. Notably, following a fierce debate on Section 702 of the law, the Senate on 20th April passed the controversial Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

According to reports, Section 702 has drawn strong criticism as it allows the US government to collect electronic communications of non-Americans located outside the country without a warrant. As a result of this, sometimes it leads to a collection of data on Americans who are in contact with those surveilled individuals, making it controversial. Several prominent voices in America and around the world have registered strong protests against the advanced surveillance of the US arguing that it leads to abuse of power and intelligence information by the agency.

Regarding the controversial Section 702 of the FISA program, Carlson said congressmen were “terrified” that intelligence agencies would frame them with “kiddie p*rn” if they were to oppose reauthorising it.

Additionally, sharing an anecdotal incident, Carlson said that once he had an informal (kitchen) conversation with an elected official who holds a really senior position and is a very famous person. He added that this person who also serves on one of the legislative bodies admitted these things before him.

Narrating the exchange, Tucker Carlson said, “I was going crazy, about all the warrantless spying and about the funding for these insane wars, and I said to the guy, who serves in one of the legislative bodies. But I was like, ‘All these people are controlled. They’ve all got weird s*x lives, and all these things they’re hiding, and they’re being blackmailed by the intel agencies.’”

To which, he replied, “I know.”

Regarding his response, Carlson said, “I was like, okay, so at this point, we’re just sort of admitting that’s real? Like, why do we allow that to continue?”

Zubair accuses PM Modi of stealing credit over relaxations of male escort restrictions for women during Haj; his portal Alt News in 2018 credited Modi for it

0

On Monday (22nd April), Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair launched a scathing attack on PM Modi saying that he and his party had lied about the changed reforms concerning relaxing rules for Muslim women travelling for Haj. “One more lie by PM Modi. It is the Saudi govt that allowed Women without Mehram for Haj and Umrah? Why steal credits,” Zubair posted on X hours after PM Modi asserted that his government allowed Muslim women to go to Haj without Mahram (male guardian).

While addressing a rally in Aligar, Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi said, “Earlier, due to less Haj quota, there used to be a lot of fighting and bribery was also prevalent there and only the influential people would get the chance to go to Haj. I had requested the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia to increase the Haj quota for our Muslim brothers and sisters in India.”

“Today, not only has India’s Haj quota increased but visa rules have also been made easier. The government took a very important decision. Earlier our Muslim mothers and sisters could not go alone for Haj. The government also allowed women to go for Haj without Mehram and I am being blessed by thousands of sisters whose dream of going for Haj has been fulfilled,” he added.

Interestingly, while Mohammed Zubair slammed PM Modi and accused him of taking the wrong credit, Alt News which he has founded claimed that ‘PM Modi was not wrong in claiming credit for relaxing rules for Muslim women travelling for Haj’.

In an article published in 2018, the Alt News reported that the 2013-17 framework required Mahram for all female travellers as per Saudi rules. However, in the year in its new Haj policy for 2018-22, the Indian Government recommended that women above 45 years of age be allowed in a group of 4 or more to go for Haj without Mahram, or a male guardian.

The report also claimed that the rules by Saudi Arabia allowing women above 45 years in groups of four or more to go for Haj without a male escort had been changed in the year but it took the Indian government three years to implement the same changes in line with those of Saudi.

PM Modi in the year 2017 addressed the issue in one of his Mann ki Baat addresses. Also, in the year 2017, the Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA) approved the decision to allow women to travel to Haj without a male escort, given their age was above 45 years.

Reportedly, until 2017, mahram as the male escort of women Haj travellers remained an essential feature of India’s policy based on the 2013-17 framework, as mentioned in the Alt News report.

The report further firmly stated that PM Modi taking credit for allowing Muslim women to go to Haj without Mahram (male guardian) was not wrong. “If Mahram for all women irrespective of age was a self-imposed regulation by the Hajj Committee of India and not a Saudi Arabian requirement, the credit claimed by PM Modi is not unwarranted. In Alt News’ view, credit cannot be denied to him for updating Indian regulations to be in line with those of Saudi,” the report added.

Earlier also, Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair had targeted PM Modi for exposing the truth about the Congress party amid the Lok Sabha elections 2024. PM Modi had indicated that the Congress party appeased the Muslims for votes and also allowed illegal entry of illegal Muslims to India for votes. Zubair then called the PM’s legit speech a piece of misinformation favouring the Congress party for extending support to Muslims. The detailed report regarding the same can be read here.

The General elections in India which are underway are scheduled to be held in seven parts from April 19 to June 1, 2024, to elect 543 Lok Sabha members. The votes will be counted, and the results will be announced on June 4, 2024.

‘Unable to fathom why Kejriwal’s family sent food items that are against his medically prescribed diet’: Delhi Court notes Kejriwal never requested insulin

Citing responses from the Enforcement Directorate and the Jail authorities, the Delhi HC on Monday observed that CM Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail in connection with a liquor policy scam, had never requested to administer insulin during his stay in the jail. The observation comes in the wake of the ongoing row over his diabetes treatment in Tihar jail.

“Moreover, the court cannot accept the applicant’s argument that insulin is not being administered to him despite his repeated requests, as insulin cannot be provided solely based on the individual’s request, especially for someone with Hyperglycemia,” stated the court.

The Jail Authorities have a well-established infrastructure for delivering necessary healthcare to the inmates, the court said. The court added that other jail inmates with comparable medical conditions receive the necessary medical treatment from the Jail Authorities.

The Delhi Court noted a notable distinction in the food items served to Arvind Kejriwal at home compared to his prescribed diet by his doctor.

“The court finds it perplexing why the applicant’s family has been offering him various items contrary to his medically advised diet, such as mangoes, sweets, and aloo puri,” remarked the court.

The court also pulled up Jail authorities for allowing Kejriwal to consume food that was not on the prescribed diet list.

Special judge Kaveri Baweja noted that the jail authorities failed to provide any explanation regarding the allowance of food items that did not comply with the judicial order and Arvind Kejriwal’s medical prescription.

“In essence, the diet plan for the applicant does not include vegetables such as potatoes or arbi, and there is no explicit mention of mangoes in the provided diet charts,” stated the court.
