High drama in Kurukshetra: Delhi Police bringing Tajinder Bagga back, Punjab Police team ‘detained’ at Haryana police station

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga is returning to Delhi with the Delhi police. BJP MLA Kapil Mishra informed in his tweet, “Tajinder Bagga is now returning to Delhi with Delhi Police. Truth always triumphs.”

A video shared by ANI showed Bagga accompanied by Delhi Police officials at Kurukshetra’s Thanesar Sadar police station. The Delhi Police team is on the way back to Delhi.

Journalist Preeti Choudhary tweeted, “Bagga being handed over to Delhi police by Haryana Police …Punjab police detained at Kurukshetra.”

The Punjab police car carrying BJP leader Tajinder Pal Bagga was stopped by Haryana police near Kurukshetra. Reportedly, the Punjab police are ‘detained’ at the Kurukshetra police station and the Delhi police are bringing Bagga back to Delhi.

An FIR accusing the Punjab Police team of kidnapping Bagga has been registered by the Delhi Police.

He was arrested by Punjab Police on 6th May 2022 in the morning for his remarks against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. The reports indicate that 50 policemen in several cars came to arrest Tajinder Bagga from his residence.

Speaking to OpIndia, Tajinder Bagga’s father had said that the officials from Punjab police had assaulted him and had forcefully taken Bagga away.

Earlier, Punjab Police had registered an FIR against Bagga for his criticism of Arvind Kejriwal after the Delhi CM mocked ‘The Kashmir Files’ movie during the budget session of the Delhi assembly, calling it a jhoothi film. The film depicts the sufferings of the Kashmiri Hindus during the genocide they suffered in Kashmir in the late 1980s and early 1990s

Despite opposition by mosque committee, survey and videography of Gyanvapi Mosque to start today amid tight security

Despite the committee of Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi saying that they will not allow videography inside the mosque, as ordered by a court, the videography will go ahead today amid tight security. According to reports, the survey and videography are scheduled to be conducted starting on 6th May 2022 at 3 PM by the Court Commissioner, as part of the commission’s action on behalf of the Civil Judge (Senior Division) of Varanasi. The court had ordered the survey while hearing a plea demanding darshan puja and security at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and other idols including Shringar Gauri at Gyanvapi Mosque complex.

The issue may turn sensitive as the management committee of the Gyanvapi mosque has already declared to oppose the decision of the local court. Considering this, securities in Varanasi are being tightened.

S M Yasin, joint secretary of Anjuman Intejamiya Masjid Managing Committee, had said that no one will be allowed to enter the mosque. The Muslim side has said that the survey and videography should be restricted to the Kashi Vishwanath temple premises, and no “non-believer” will be allowed to enter the mosque. The committee has said that they will protest in a peaceful manner.

The survey process is expected to take 3 to 4 days, when both the basements of the temple turned mosque will be surveyed.

The Hindu petitioners in this case will be represented by 15 persons in the team of the court commissioner. Besides, 2 associates of the court commissioner and 3 photographers and videographers will also be present at the time of the survey and videography. Respondents from Anjuman Intezamiya Committee will also be present along with five lawyers. Security of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple complex has been increased.

The devotees or anyone going for darshan inside the temple is being allowed to enter only after intensive checking. The security arrangements of the mosque are already in the hands of the paramilitary forces. The time of survey action is fixed at around 3:00 pm. This has already increased the stir.

Shri Kashi Vishwanath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and the Gyanvapi Mosque dispute is pending in Varanasi’s local courts since 1991. After the orders of the high court, that suit is transferred to the Allahabad high court. But the Shringar Gauri case is just seven months old.

On August 18, 2021, five women from Varanasi filed a suit in the Court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) of Varanasi along with other demands, including the demand for daily darshan puja at the Shringar Gauri Temple. The court, while admitting the plea, had not only ordered the setting up of a commission of lawyers to know the situation on the spot but also appointed an advocate commissioner. Not only that, the opposition was issued notices, as well as the next date of hearing, was fixed. But due to the court commissioner going on the backfoot a couple of times, the disputed site could not be inspected.

Varanasi Civil Judge (Senior Division Fast Track) Justice Ravi Kumar Diwakar, while reiterating his earlier order of 18th August 2021, had again allowed the survey and videography proceedings to be taken up by appointing court commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra on 8th April 2022. After this, the Varanasi district administration and police, among the respondents, objected. To prevent the action, they argued that there need to be better security arrangements, and only Muslims and security persons can go inside a mosque. The court, while rejecting the plea after the hearing, continued with its earlier order and sought a report on taking action of survey and videography after Eid before May 10 and also fixed May 10 as the date of hearing.

According to the reports, the image of the goddess Shringar Gauri is located within the outer wall of the Gyanvapi mosque. Following the demolition of the Babri mosque during the Ram Janambhoomi movement, regular entry of devotees was forbidden, and worshiping this deity was only permitted on the fourth day of Chaitra Navratri.

Watch: Visuals of BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga’s arrest by Punjab Police from his Delhi residence

Earlier today, BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga was arrested by Punjab Police for his remarks against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

The exact moment of his arrest is captured in a video, which has now gone viral on the internet. In the clip that is doing the rounds on the internet, Bagga is seen being arrested by a team of police officers, presumably of the Punjab Police, seen inside the house of the BJP leader.

The video also shows the police officers taking Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga to their cars parked outside his residence.

Punjab Police arrests BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga

BJP leader Tajinder Bagga was arrested earlier today on May 6 by the Punjab Police. As news of Bagga’s alleged illegal arrest spread, a large number of BJP leaders and supporters were seen reaching the Janakpuri Police Station.

Times Now shared a video where a large number of BJP leaders were seen outside the Janakpuri Police Station. As per reports, there is no update yet on whether the local police were informed regarding Bagga’s arrest, as is required under the protocol.

The Delhi Police had then filed a kidnapping case following the arrest of BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga by the Punjab Police.

Bagga was not even allowed to wear his turban, alleges his father

Bagga’s father has told OpIndia that first, there were two policemen who entered the house and started talking very politely. There was nobody else in the house except him and Bagga at that point. In the meantime, the BJP leader got dressed and came out. After exchanging some pleasantries, several other policemen started entering the house forcefully. When they started entering the house, Tajinder Bagga’s aged father tried to record a video of their high handedness and while he was doing so, one policeman pulled him inside the room and assaulted him.”

Bagga’s father has stated that the BJP leader was not even allowed to wear his turban and even get dressed properly before being taken away forcefully by the Punjab Police team.

Punjab Police has stated that Bagga has been arrested under the process of law and he is being brought to be produced at court after being arrested by the SIT of SAS Nagar Police.

While Punjab Police is busy arresting Kejriwal’s critics, law and order deteriorates in Punjab: Murders, drugs, communal violence after AAP came to power

It has been nearly 2 months since Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won a thumping victory in Punjab absolutely destroying Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal. In these 2 months, Punjab has seen a spike in murders in the state, with even famous Kabaddi players not immune to the violence, videos of the open sale of drugs in the state are going viral, and the state even witnessed communal violence after many many years.

Within the first 3 weeks of the AAP government coming to power, the state saw 19 murders, including 3 targeted killings. The rising crime graph in the state drew sharp criticism from all quarters but didn’t matter to Punjab Police. Even ruling Aam Aadmi Party’s supporters are not safe in the state right now as Dharminder Singh, president of the kabaddi club at Daun Kalan village, and an AAP campaigner, found out when he was brazenly killed.

Just yesterday, a couple was brutally murdered in Ludhiana while their daughter could hear their shrieks. These are hardly isolated cases in Punjab over the last 2 months as criminals are getting more and more brazen, and openly executing their activities.

While crime and violence are peaking in Punjab, the local police have other priorities, targeting anyone who speaks against Haryana-born Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Since coming to power in Punjab, AAP has been using Punjab Police officers as Arvind Kejriwal’s personal henchmen, targeting anyone who dares to speak against the Delhi Chief Minister.

News of murders has become so common in Punjab during the last 2 months that nobody even bats an eyelid when one reads about a murder in the state. There are viral videos of the open sale of drugs in the state, while everyone else knows where to get chitta in the state, only Punjab Police doesn’t know. What happened in Patiala when a temple was attacked is there for everyone to see. ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ slogans were raised in the open by the separatists in the state.

Any sane mind will ask where is Punjab Police when law and order has gone to the dogs in the state. Well, Punjab Police is busy targeting people who speak against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Earlier today, Punjab Police sent a team to Delhi to arrest BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga over his tweets against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. For a tweet made from Delhi, by a Delhi resident, against the Delhi Chief Minister, Punjab Police decided to arrest him without informing local Delhi Police. They even beat up the old father of Bagga because his son dared to tweet against Punjab’s actual CM.

This was not unexpected, Arvind Kejriwal had always expressed his dictatorial mindset and has always shared how he would like to suppress any dissent. From threatening to jail every journalist to sending people to prison for posting anything ‘offensive’ online, Kejriwal has been very open about his fascist mindset.

Now that he has Punjab Police in his pocket, and is running Punjab directly, we will see more and more of such cases where anyone saying anything against Kejriwal will be arrested from any corner of India. Meanwhile, Punjab sinks into chaos with deteriorating law and order as Punjab Police is busy following the orders of their actual boss, Arvind Kejriwal.

‘Arvind Kejriwal has come like East India company’: BJP slams AAP for illegal arrest of Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga by Punjab Police, assures legal action

The arrest of BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga by Punjab Police from Delhi is developing into a major political controversy, as BJP has taken the matter very seriously and said that the party won’t allow misjustice of its leaders by the AAP govt. Addressing a press conference at BJP national headquarters, BJP leaders said that the arrest by Punjab Police was illegal, as the required procedures were not followed.

BJP leader Nupur Sharma said that as per rules, when police arrest a person from a different state, they first need to inform the local police of that state first. While making the arrest, the police also must take cooperation of local police. But Punjab Police didn’t follow these rules, they didn’t inform Delhi police before arresting Bagga, and directly took him away to a local police station. Due to this, Delhi police have already registered a case of kidnapping in the matter.

Senior BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa strongly criticised Arvind Kejriwal for the arrest, and said that even in a 2022 order, the Supreme Court had reiterated that police from other states must inform local police first before arresting anyone in a different state. He said that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is misusing Punjab Police so that the truth about him does not come out in the public.

He also slammed Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, saying that despite being a Sikh, he allowed his police to arrest a Sikh without the turban, and to abuse his father. He asked if Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga is a terrorist to arrest in such a manner.

He said that people are being murdered in Punjab, drug peddlers are openly roaming around in Punjab, but Bhagwant Mann’s police is sending 50-60 member team to Delhi to arrest a man for criticising Arvind Kejriwal.

Explaining the kidnapping case registered by Delhi police, Sirsa explained that as Punjab Police arrested Bagga without informing Delhi police, it amounts to kidnaping as per law, and therefore the case has been filed. He said that Arvind Kejriwal so dangerous that he is taking the Sikhs in Punjab state towards the situation of 1980s.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa further said that ‘Arvind Kejriwal has come by the East India Company, first he will show you dreams, after that he will loot you, beat you, then he will defame the Sikhs, will call them terrorists, will put them in jails. The same thing Arvind Kejriwal has started to do.’

‘Tajinder Bagga has not committed any crime, he has exposed the crimes of Arvind Kejriwal, and we all stand behind him’, Sirsa said. He added that Bharatiya Janata Party will not allow such misjustice to any of its workers or any Indian citizen. Saying that the Delhi BJP leader is being punished for speaking the truth, the senior BJP leader said that the party will take appropriate legal action against the illegal act by Punjab Police.

BJP spokesperson RP Singh said that the Punjab govt is arresting Sikhs on false cases for criticising Kejriwal, but not arresting those who are indulging in blasphemy against Sikhism in Punjab.

Further explaining the kidnapping case filed by Delhi Police, Nupur Sharma said that it refers to the Sandeep Kumar vs State case from 2018, where Delhi High Court had issued the order in October 2019. She read the relevant parts from the judgement, she said that according to the para 15(6) of the court judgement, “After reaching the destination, first of all, he should inform the concerned police station of the purpose of his visit to seek assistance and co-operation.” Further, the para 15(29) says, “The delinquent Police Officer can be directed to pay compensation under the public law and by way of strict liability.”

Citing this judgement, which has been upheld by the Supreme Court, the BJP leader emphasised that actions can be taken against the police officials for not following the guidelines determined by the court while making arrests from other states.

The case against Tajinder Bagga was filed by Punjab police after he had posted several tweets criticising Arvind Kejriwal, after Kejriwal had made controversial comments in Delhi Assembly claiming that that the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus in Kashmir was fiction. Bagga had also said his party workers will not let Kejriwal live in peace for such blatant lie, but AAP workers have been circulating his comment omitting the words ‘in peace’, and falsely claiming he said he will not let Kejriwal live.

Gujarat: 40-year-old killed for performing Aarti on loudspeaker in Meldi Temple of Mahesana, six arrested

On Friday, a 40-year-old man named Jashwantji Thakor was brutally beaten to death by members of his community for playing Aarti on a loudspeaker in Meldi Mandir of Mahesana, Gujarat. The accused have been identified as Sadaji Thakor, Vishnuji Thakor, Babuji Thakor, Jayantiji Thakor, Javanji Thakor, and Vinuji Thakor.

According to the reports, the incident happened on May 4 in the remote village of Laxmipura, Mahesana. The Police took the cognizance of the incident on May 6 and booked the accused under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The deceased was a daily wage worker who used to pray and recite Aarti at the Meldi Mandir near his house. On May 4, Jashwantji along with his brother Ajit arrived at the temple at 7 pm and began performing Aarti on the loudspeaker. After some time one of the accused named Sadaji approached the duo and complained about the loud noise of loudspeakers. He asked the duo to stop performing the religious aarti on the loudspeaker.

He also abused and threatened Jashwantji and Ajit and further called his aides Vishnuji, Babuji, Jayantiji, Javanji, and Vinuji who attacked the duo with sticks. “Five to six men were carrying the sticks. They attacked us. Our 10-year-old nephew called his mother who then informed the Police about the incident”, noted Ajit in the police statement on May 5.

The injured brothers were immediately shifted to the Mahesana civil hospital from where they were suggested to go to the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital for advanced medical treatment. Reportedly, Jashwantji breathed his last during the treatment while Ajit suffered a fracture in his left hand.

Pertinently, this is not the first incident where a Hindu person had to die amid the loudspeaker row in the state of Gujarat. Earlier on May 2, Bharat Rathod from Bavla, Ahmedabad was physically abused for playing loudspeaker at the temple. The attack had come in the background of the loudspeaker row that was started by MNS chief Raj Thackeray in Maharashtra. Reports mention that the accused and the victim in the case belonged to different castes of the Hindu community.

So far the Mahesana Police who is investigating the current case has arrested six persons on charges of assault, rioting and murder. The police have also booked the accused under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Probe is underway.

Yogi Adityanath hands over Alaknanda guesthouse in Hardiwar to Uttarakhand in a goodwill gesture, ends two-decade-old dispute between two states

In a goodwill gesture, the Uttar Pradesh government handed over the state-run Alaknanda hotel in the pilgrimage town to the Uttarakhand government.

According to the reports, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handed over the Alaknanda hotel in Haridwar on Thursday, which has been under dispute between the two states for the last two decades.

After it was formed as a separate state in 2000, the government of Uttarakhand had staked the claim over the Alaknanda guesthouse. However, Uttar Pradesh had retained the guest house. The matter was pending in the Supreme Court, but both states mutually resolved the issue.

The Uttar Pradesh government has built a 100-room Bhagirathi Tourist Guest House in Haridwar to accommodate the guests travelling from the state to Uttarakhand. Hence, the UP government has handed over the Alakananda guest house to Uttarakhand to resolve the long-pending issue of distribution of assets between the two neighbouring states.

The two states have resolved most of the property disputes between them, which have been pending for the last 21 years since Uttarakhand was formed as a separate state.

Handing over the guest house, UP CM Yogi Adityanath said, “The issue of the Alaknanda guesthouse was long pending in the court, however, UP and Uttarakhand solved the matter with mutual understanding according to which UP will hand over the Alaknanda hotel to Uttarakhand, and in return, the state will allocate land to UP to built a guesthouse for tourists.”

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami thanked Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and stated that 95 per cent of the property disputes between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand had been resolved however, there are five per cent disputes, which are still pending in the areas of irrigation land, dams, etc.

Delhi Police files a kidnapping case after Punjab Police arrests BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga

The Delhi Police has filed a kidnapping case after the arrest of BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga by Punjab Police over his alleged threat to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

The FIR, filed at Janakpuri station, alleges Punjab Police personnel of abducting Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga.

Times Now shared a video where a large number of BJP leaders were seen outside the Janakpuri Police Station. As per reports, there is no update yet on whether the local police were informed regarding Bagga’s arrest, as is required under the protocol.

Speaking to Times Now, BJP supporters said that this is the reason why Arvind Kejriwal wanted a police force under his command. They added that Tajinder Bagga is a political leader, a candidate and holds political positions in the BJP, he is not a terrorist. The way the Punjab Police has been treated and arrested, just for issuing a statement against Kejriwal is a sign of anarchy and lawlessness that AAP and Kejriwal brings.

Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta stated that Bagga’s arrest was an illegal act and the Punjab Police team even manhandled Bagga’s father.

“Tajinder Bagga has been illegally detained by Punjab Police. They didn’t allow him to even wear his turban. A complaint was filed over manhandling of Tajindar Bagga by his father. Kejriwal’s Hitler-like act will cost him. Punjab Police is acting on directions of Kejriwal”, Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta stated to ANI.

Bengal: BJP member Arjun Chowrasiya found hanging in an abandoned building, party alleges murder by TMC goons

On Friday, a West Bengal BJP member named Arjun Chowrasiya was found hanging in the Ghosh Bagan area inside an abandoned building in Cossipore. Chowrasiya, who was Cossipore BJYM Mandal Vice-President had planned the celebrations to welcome Home Minister Amit Shah in Kolkata and was supposed to lead his Mandal team in a bike rally on May 6.

Canceling all the celebrations to welcome Shah, the BJP on Friday alleged that their party member was murdered by the TMC goons.

In a tweet, BJP West Bengal said, “The death and murder of our committed karyakarta Arjun Chowrasia (27), resident of Kashipur Assembly, is deeply distressing. In view of the unfortunate killing, all celebrations to welcome Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah in Kolkata stand cancelled.”

According to the reports, Chowrasiya had made all the arrangements for a bike rally to welcome Home Minister Shah to the state. He was supposed to lead more than 200 bikes in the rally. However, he was found hanging in an abandoned rail quarter in the Cossipore area this morning.

While the BJP has blamed the ruling TMC party for his death, MP Santanu Sen has denied the allegations and has said that the Police should be allowed to investigate the issue. “The allegations against us are baseless. Let the police investigate the matter”, he said.

Meanwhile, North Kolkata BJP President Kalyan Choubey said that Arjun Chowrasiya was a very active member of the party. “He was an efficient party worker. We found him dead this morning”, he stated. Another senior BJP leader noted that MHA Amit Shah who is on a two-day visit to the state of West Bengal was upset after hearing the news and has asked to cancel all the celebrations.

Accordingly, all the celebrations for Amit Shah’s welcome in Kolkata have been canceled. Reports mention that Shah will visit Chowrasiya’s residence on Friday afternoon. The investigations in the case are underway.

Pertinently, this is not the first time when a BJP karyakarta has been found dead in the state of West Bengal. On April 19 this year, a BJP worker’s body was found mysteriously hanging from a tree at Mallarpur town in Birbhum District. The deceased, Purna Chandra Laha, aged 40, was a daily wager and an active supporter of the BJP in the state. While the BJP then stated that he was killed for political reasons, the family of the deceased claimed that the TMC workers had murdered Laha.

Also, in November 2021, Shambhu Maity (36) BJP leader had been hacked to death at Bhagabanpur in Purba Medinipur (East Midnapore) district of West Bengal. According to the reports, the body of the head of BJP’s Shakti Kendra in the Chandipur Assembly constituency was recovered from the banks of the Keleghai river.

On October 17, Mithun Ghosh (37), the district vice-president of the BJP’s youth wing, was shot dead in the Itahar area in Uttar Dinajpur district. Ghosh was fired upon by some unidentified miscreants right in front of his residence in Rajgram village. Though he was immediately rushed to the Raiganj Medical College and Hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

Several BJP karyakartas have been brutally murdered in the post poll violence that the state witnessed after the results of the state’s Vidhan Sabha was declared. The BJP has alleged that the number of party workers killed since the announcement of poll results on May 2 is over two dozen. The names of a few deceased party workers are Jayprakash Yadav, Anil Barman, Raja Samonto, Dhiren Barman, Prosenjit Das, Nirmal Mandal, Ghanshyam Rana, Arindam Midya Dharma Mandal, Chandan Roy, Haradhon Ray and many more.

Punjab police car carrying Tajinder Pal Bagga stopped by Haryana police near Kurukshetra, Netizens outraged at arrest, trend ‘#IStandwithBagga’

The Punjab police car carrying BJP leader Tajinder Pal Bagga has been reportedly stopped by Haryana police.

According to BJP leader Neha Joshi, the Haryana police had stopped the car of Punjab police carrying BJP leader Tajinder Bagga near Kurukshetra.

A video of the same was tweeted by journalist Vikas Bhaduria.

On Friday morning, BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga was arrested by the Punjab Police from Delhi. The reports indicate that 50 policemen in 10-12 cars came to arrest Tajinder Bagga from his residence.

Meanwhile, following the arrest of Bagga, BJP leaders and party supporters trended ‘IStandwithTajinderBagga’ to extend support for the BJP leader and slammed Arvind Kejriwal for political vendetta.

Hours after Punjab police arrested BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga over frivolous charges, several social media users and BJP supporters expressed their solidarity with the BJP leader and hit out at Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal for indulging in vendetta politics.

Several senior BJP leaders took to Twitter to condemn Arvind Kejriwal and the Punjab government for the arrest of the party leader.

BJP General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh tweeted saying Punjab Police is being used as personal mafia of Arvind Kejriwal and said that the party condemned the arrest of Tajinder Bagga and assaulted his father by police at the insistence of the Aam Aadmi Party. Soon Karma will catch you, he said.

BJYM President and Lok Sabha MP Tejasvi Surya also condemned the arrest of National Secretary Tajinder Bagga. He added that BJYM would fight in court and on the streets against the fascist AAP party.

BJP leader and spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla asked whether he would also be arrested for speaking against Kejriwal.

Neha Joshi said coward Arvind Kejriwal sent 50 cops of Punjab police to arrest Tajinder Bagga from his home in Delhi illegally. She added that the family of the BJP leader is in a state of shock. “You won’t get away with this, Kejriwal. Enough if enough!” the BJP youth leader added.

Besides BJP leaders, several social media users also hit out at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for arresting BJP leader Tajinder Pal Bagga and also accused him of misusing the power to attack political opponents.

Netizens and supporters of Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga extended their support to him by trending ‘#IstandwithTajinderBagga‘, ‘#ShameOnKejriwal‘ and other trends on Twitter.

One social media user shamed Kejriwal for using the government machinery of Punjab to satisfy his personal ego. He equated Arvind Kejriwal to German dictator Adolf Hitler.

Another social media user shared a meme alongside the social media trend to support Tajinder Pal Bagga and condemn Arvind Kejriwal. The meme insinuated that Kejriwal was happy to register FIRs and arrest anyone who dares to criticise him.

Popular Youtube Shambhav Sharma highlighted that Kejriwal once used to share Facebook posts about fighting ‘Hindutva fascism’, but he wastes no time in using the police force under his control to bully political opponents.

“I stand with Tejinder Bagga,’ he tweeted.

Writer and columnist Ajit Datta pointed out that this is the reason why Kejriwal wanted the police force.

Hindu activist Sameet Thakkar, who is also a victim of political vendetta, shared that politicians always feared a common man or common karyakarta more than their fellow politicians because they know that it is a common karyakarta or man who can take them publicly and make them naked.

He added that the arrest of Tajinder Bagga was the fear of Arvind Kejriwal.

Punjab police entered the house forcefully and picked him Tajinder Bagga: Bagga’s father

Speaking to OpIndia, Tajinder Bagga’s father said that first, there were two policemen who entered the house and started talking very politely. There was nobody else in the house except him and Bagga at that point. In the meantime, the BJP leader got dressed and came out.

After exchanging some pleasantries, several other policemen started entering the house forcefully. When they started entering the house, Tajinder Bagga’s aged father tried to record a video of their high handedness, and while he was doing so, one policeman pulled him inside the room and assaulted him.

Thereafter, the policemen dragged Bagga from the house and arrested him. His father tells OpIndia that in the process, they did not even let him put on his turban, even as Bagga kept requesting them to let him get dressed properly. “They took his phone with them too”, he said.

Earlier, Punjab Police had registered an FIR against Bagga for his criticism of Arvind Kejriwal after the Delhi CM mocked ‘The Kashmir Files’ movie during the budget session of the Delhi assembly, calling it a jhoothi film. The film depicts the sufferings of the Kashmiri Hindus during the genocide they suffered in Kashmir in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
