Days after a doctor from Delhi’s AIIMS claimed that the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was due to suicide and not a case of murder, the family of the deceased actor has written to the CBI chief, seeking the formation of a fresh medical board to review the autopsy and viscera reports by a Mumbai hospital.

The family of Sushant Singh Rajput, represented by Vikas Singh, has written a letter to the central investigative agency CBI accusing the head of the AIIMS panel of being “unethical” and  “unprofessional”.

In its letter to the central probe agency, Rajput’s family has hit out at Dr Sudhir Gupta, who heads the panel and the AIIMS forensic department, accusing him of “selectively” leaking the findings to the media.

“The conduct of Dr Sudhir Gupta is unethical, unprofessional, in contravention of government service conduct rules and MCI guidelines. This criminal misadventure on his part has undermined public trust in a premier institution like AIIMS. It has created doubts in the minds of millions of people about the fairness of investigation (sic),” said lawyer Vikas Singh representing Sushant Singh Rajput’s family.

Constitute another forensic team, Sushant family asks CBI

Further, Singh wrote that he personally felt that the forensic team of AIIMS has not given a categorical opinion on the flaws of the post-mortem done at the Cooper Hospital and instead have given a report which they were not supposed to do.

“I am accordingly of the firm opinion that this matter needs to be referred to another forensic team to be constituted by CBI by picking up some of the best names in the field from different hospitals so that a fair and proper assessment takes place with regard to the comments of the post-mortem done by the Cooper Hospital and also whether the cause of death can be specified on the basis of the material available with the CBI,” said the family of the actor.

The AIIMS forensic Panel Board was constituted after the CBI took over the investigation in the high-profile case after the family of the actor had alleged foul play in the death of the actor.

AIIMS panel chief had ruled out murder angle

Earlier in the week, media reports stated that AIIMS doctor Dr Sudhir Gupta had claimed that the medical team investigating the case has ruled out the ‘murder angle’ in the Sushant Singh case.

“Sushant’s death is a case of suicide. Murder completely ruled out,” Dr Sudhir Gupta claimed on October 3.

However, following the selective leaks to the media regarding the autopsy by Dr Sudhir Gupta, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) had issued a statement stating that it has already submitted the expert opinion report on Sushant Singh Rajput’s post-mortem and viscera reports to the CBI and only the department can now confirm the contents of the same.

Even, CBI had also released an official statement confirming that the probe into actor Sushant Singh Rajput is still ongoing and that all aspects of the investigation are being looked into meticulously, including the homicide angle.

Aatmanirbhar Bharat: 16 companies including Samsung, iPhone makers approved under PLI scheme, production of ₹10.5 lakh crore expected in 5 years

Ministry of Electronics and Information and Technology has approved proposals by 16 phone makers under the Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI) for Large Scale Electronics Manufacturing. The PLI scheme was notified on 1st April announcing incentives of 4% to 6% on incremental sales (over base year) of goods under target segments that are manufactured in India to eligible companies, for a period of five years subsequent to the base year (FY2019-20).

According to a press release issued by the ministry on Tuesday, the scheme will lead to a total production of more than Rs 10.5 lakh crores over the next five years. Out of this, companies approved under Mobile Phone (Invoice Value Rs 15,000 and above) segment have proposed a production of over Rs 9,00,000 crore. The approved companies under Mobile Phone (Domestic Companies) segment have proposed production of about Rs 1,25,000 crore and the companies under Specified Electronic Components segment have proposed a production of over Rs 15,000 crore.

The companies approved under Mobile Phone (Invoice Value Rs 15,000 and above) are Samsung, Foxconn Hon Hai, Rising Star, Wistron and Pegatron. Out of these, Foxconn Hon Hai, Wistron and Pegatron are contract manufacturers for Apple iPhones. Apple (37%) and Samsung (22%) together account for nearly 60% of global sales revenue of mobile phones and this scheme is expected to increase their manufacturing base manifold in the country.

Under Mobile Phone (Domestic Companies) Segment, Indian companies including Lava, Bhagwati (Micromax), Padget Electronics, UTL Neolyncs and Optiemus Electronics have been approved by the ministry. These companies are expected to expand their manufacturing operations in a significant manner in India and grow into national champion companies in mobile phone production.

Under the Specified Electronic Components segment, six companies have been approved, AT&S, Ascent Circuits, Visicon, Walsin, Sahasra, and Neolync. The companies under this category manufacture network equipment needed to run mobile telephone networks. Ten companies had applied under this category, and applications of six have been approved so far.

The scheme expected to increase export of mobile phones from India significantly. Out of the Rs 10,50,000 crore in the next 5 years, around 60% (Rs 6,50,000 crore) of them will be exported. The companies approved under the scheme will bring additional investment of around Rs 11,000 crore.

The companies approved under the scheme will generate more than 2 lakh direct employment opportunities in next 5 years along with the creation of additional indirect employment of nearly 3 times the direct employment. Domestic Value Addition is expected to grow from the current 15-20% to 35-40% in case of Mobile Phones and 45-50% for electronic components.

Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI) for Large Scale Electronics Manufacturing was notified by the ministry on 1st April, 2020. This scheme extends an incentive of 4% to 6% on incremental sales (over base year) of goods under target segments that are manufactured in India to eligible companies, for a period of five years subsequent to the base year (FY2019-20). The scheme was open for filing applications till 31st July 2020. Incentives are applicable under the scheme from 1st August this year.

On 2nd June, detailed guidelines for the three initiatives under the scheme were announced by the minister, which included a total incentive of Rs 50,000 crore. The scheme has a goal of increasing production to $106 billion from $70 billion in 2018-19. The target for exports of electronic components is $77 billion. The Production linked Incentive scheme is the largest scheme with value of Rs 40,000 crore, and it is expected to help large scale manufacturing of mobile and other gadgets.

In a shocking revelation, a Congress leader has been found engineering riots in the restive town of Hathras. According to a sting operation carried out by Republic TV, Rahul Gandhi’s aide in Hathras revealed murky details of a bloody plot to instigate caste riots in the village.

Admitting on camera that Congress used the Hathras incident for furthering its brand of politics, Dalit Congress leader Shyoraj Jivan, who is believed to be a close aide of Rahul Gandhi, said that the preparations were complete to stoke massive caste-based riots in Hathras. He also reportedly admitted that their groundwork was so strong that nobody would have been able to stop the ensuing violence.

The former Union minister, Jivan, also named big-shot politicians who would be part of the Congress party’s initiative to create a furore over the Hathras incident, where a 19-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries on September 29.

“PL Punia, Akhilesh Yadav from Samajwadi Party can also join the agitation. Our leader, Rahul Gandhi will come to the scene only after bullets start flying around,” Jivan candidly admitted on camera, betraying Congress party’s plans to stir up riots in the name of demonstrations against the Hathras incident.

In the sting operation, Jivan was caught saying how the riots and the subsequent political drama will pan out. “Two people should die from each side. A leader should die or some common man should die. There will be a fierce clash, nobody can stop it. It will be a bloody fight. Nobody can stop riots, the way the situation is panning out. Because the Valmiki samaj is a fighting community. You can attack us in villages- because there are 2 houses, 4 houses. You can gherao us (unclear). Many will be slaughtered, many will be killed. We are in large numbers in the city” the Congress leader was seen saying.

It is also notable here that the Congress leader is spreading deliberate misinformation that the victim was brutalised and had her tongue cut, a claim that was already debunked by the police.

Opposition politicians tried to exploit the Hathras incident

The opposition politicians have been chomping at the bit of creating chaos over the Hathras incident. Despite prohibitory orders put in place, several politicians reached Hathras, in a bid to overturn their dwindling political fortunes and mount an attack against the Yogi Adityanath government. After initially being stopped by the police as section 144 was in place, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi had travelled to meet the victim’s family with much political fanfare.

The Congress plot to politically exploit the incident was exposed further when audio of the call between an unidentified person and the victim’s brother was leaked where the former was heard is heard telling Sandeep, the brother of the victim, to not leave his house because senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi would be visiting his home.

He was heard tutoring the victim’s brother about Priyanka Gandhi’s visit and what they should tell her about the administration’s investigation into the case.

UP government alleges international conspiracy to incite riots in the state

The UP government had also filed an FIR alleging international conspiracy to trigger a caste-based flare-up in Uttar Pradesh over the Hathras incident. A website called ‘Justice for Hathras’ sprung up overnight which catalogued misleading and provocative content, attempting to divide the society on caste-lines and hosting manuals containing details of how to incite riots. Amnesty International and other organisations based out of Islamic countries are believed to have funded the website. The role of Islamist organisations—PFI and SDPI—has also come to fore in facilitating the website.

In a huge setback for the anti-CAA protestors and Islamic mobs of Shaheen Bagh in New Delhi, the Supreme Court on Wednesday, in a scathing remark said that the public places like Shaheen Bagh cannot be blocked or occupied indefinitely for protests. A Supreme Court bench of Justices S K Kaul, Aniruddha Bose and Krishna Murari delivered this verdict while delivering a judgement on the scope of the right to protest and whether or not there can be any limitations on such a right.

The Supreme Court bench on Wednesday said that no person or group of persons can block public places or carriageways to demonstrate or express dissent. Such kind of occupation of public place for protests is not acceptable and protests must be held at designated places, ruled the Supreme Court.

Hearing a batch of petitions seeking guidelines on the right to protest, the Supreme Court observed, “Public spaces and places can’t be occupied indefinitely whether in Shaheen Bagh or elsewhere. The administration must keep such spaces free from obstructions. Not wait to fire from court’s shoulder”. “Dissent and democracy go hand in hand but protests must be carried out in designated area”, said the bench comprising Justices S K Kaul, Aniruddha Bose and Krishna Murari.

On September 21, the top court had reserved its order on the aspect of “the need to balance the right to protest with the right of mobility by other people”. The petition was filed by Advocate Amit Sahni in January seeking removal of the protests against CAA-NRC at Shaheen Bagh. The petitioner had complained that protests were blocking the roads, affecting the right of free movement of the public.

Authorities should have acted to clear the Shaheen Bagh area: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court also slammed the government for not clearing the blocked road and waiting for court’s order instead. The court said that authorities have to act on their own and cannot hide behind courts.

“The Delhi Police ought to have taken action to clear Shaheen Bagh area,” the Supreme Court said on the so-called anti-CAA ‘protests’ at Shaheen Bagh.

The apex court also said right to peaceful protest is a constitutional right and it has to be respected. However, the right does not mean agitating people should adopt means and modes of protest that was used against colonial rulers during struggle for independence.

Demonstrations which cause inconvenience to a large number of people and violate their rights is not permissible under the law, the court further added. The court said that the right to protest has to be balanced with the right of the people to use a public road. Noting that a pubic road was blocked for a long period of time, the bench asked, “what about this right to use the road?”

As Shaheen Bagh protests were already called off in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, the issue of road blockade had become infructuous. But the apex court had said that it will deliver a verdict on the issue of Right to Protest Vs. The Right to Mobility. Today’s order gives the governments legal sanction to remove protests blocking public places without the need to waiting for a court order, therefore it will have a far-reaching impact.

Shaheen Bagh Anti-CAA protests

The anti-CAA protests, especially at Shaheen Bagh, which began as a peaceful protest crossed all the boundaries as it turned out to be another typical left-wing managed anti-India event. Eventually, the Shaheen Bagh protest site had provided fodder and a shield for violent rioters who had, in February, targeted Hindus and gone on a rampage burning the capital, timing the bloodbath with US President Trump’s visit to Delhi.

Following the failure of violent protests perpetrated by the Muslim mobs on the streets of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia University, few women belonging to Muslim community sat on a protest at Shaheen Bagh, blocked a bus stop and a highway causing severe problems to the public of Delhi.

Shaheen Bagh protests, which were initially passed off as an organic protest in a bid to ‘save the constitution’ began to turn into a blatantly communal event. It was earlier reported that the Muslim mobs had shouted pro-Pakistan and Hinduphobic slogans like “Jinnah Wali Azadi”, demanding another partition of the country.

After spending close to a month in jail over drug-related charges, actress Rhea Chakraborty has been granted bail in the NDPS case by the Bombay High Court. A special court had extended her judicial custody till 20th October yesterday. However, his brother Showik’s and Abdul Parihar’s bail petitions were rejected by the court.

Bail against 1 lakh PR bond

The high court has granted bail to Rhea Chakraborty on a PR bail bond of Rs.1 lakh. The court has granted one month to furnish bail bond on the request of her advocate Satish Manshinde. She has to visit the nearest police station every ten days after she is released on bail. ASG Anil Singh requested a stay on bail, but the court rejected it. However, the court added to the order that Rhea cannot leave the country without the Court’s permission.

The court has also granted bail to Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda against a PR bond of Rs.50,000. Their passports were also impounded. 

Rhea’s bail petition claimed Sushant was ‘depressed’

On 8th September, Rhea was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau for arranging drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead on 14th June. NCB accused her of being an active part of a drug syndicate. In her bail petition, she alleged that Rajput took advantage of his close friends to gain access to drugs.

In an interview and bail petition, Rhea mentioned the mental health of Sushant Singh Rajput and claimed he was at the ‘peak of depression’, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and added that his mental health was getting worse due to lockdown, and the deaths of actors Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor had a profound impact on his mental state. She also alleged the rift between him and his family was causing problems in his life.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death

On 14th June 2020, actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his appartment in Mumbai. His death was termed as suicide by the police. However, the inconsistancies in the investigation, FIR by Sushant’s father in Bihar and several other aspects of the case led to CBI inquiry in the case. As more details poured in about money laundering and narcotics, Enforcement Directorate and NCB also got involved in the case.

A case has been registered against Delhi AAP MLA Kuldeep Kumar under Epidemic Act for violating quarantine rules to visit Hathras in Uttar Pradesh to meet the Hathras victim’s family.

According to the reports, the Uttar Pradesh police has registered an FIR against the AAP MLA for risking lives of thousands of people by skipping quarantine to visit Hathras despite testing positive for coronavirus just days ago.

The Hathras Superintendent of Police said that Kumar had announced of contracting the coronavirus on September 29. However, on October 4, he had posted a series of videos of his visit to Hathras to meet the parents of the 19-year-old deceased victim.

On October 4, AAP MLA Kuldeep Kumar had live-tweeted his entire journey to Hathras – all the while violating quarantine norms. Barely days after having tested positive for COVID-19, Kumar had gathered with people in a large crowd and decided to go to Hathras.

The AAP legislator had sat in close proximity to the victim’s family as he expressed condolences. This while he had tested positive for highly infectious coronavirus which has claimed lives of over 1 lakh people in India and infected over 66 lakh people across India.

In haste to politically exploit the Hathras case, the AAP MLA had jumped his quarantine barely after five days of testing positive and proceeded to the village to meet the victim’s family, putting hundreds of people under the risk of infection.

During his speech at ‘Kheti Bachao Yatra’ in Kurukshetra Haryana on 6th October, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said if UPA were in power, the Indian armed forces would have thrown out China from Indian Territory ‘in 15 minutes’. While talking about the Chinese ‘invasion’ on Indian land, he alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi says China did not enter India. Still, China controls over 1200 square kilometres of Indian land.

While talking about the Ladakh standoff, he said if UPA had been in power, the neighboring country would not have dared to look at India with evil intentions. He alleged that PM Modi had weakened the country. Gandhi also alleged PM Modi only cares about his image and do not care about what is happening in India. “They talk about ‘Bharat Mata’, but Narendra Modi gave 1200 square kilometers to China to save his image, it is the truth,” he added.

Earlier, Congress tried to spread fake information that China occupied 38,000 square kilometers of India’s land, insinuating that the occupation has happened under the NDA rule. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in his reply in Parliament, said that 38,000 square kilometre of Indian land is under China’s control. Congress leaders, IT cell and their media counterparts had tried a lot to twist the statement, peddling the narrative that the land has been handed over to China by the Modi government.

 In reality, when Rajnath Singh mentioned the 38,000 square kilometres of Indian land occupied by China, he was talking about Aksai Chin, part of Ladakh occupied by China during the Jawaharal Nehru regime. In fact, Nehru was not even concerned about the illegal occupation, saying that not even a blade of grass grows there.

Nehru’s Himalayan blunder

Since Independence, Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru made several blunders that led to defeat in the 1962 war against China. As a result, China not only took control of thousands of square kilometers in Ladakh but also took control of the Coco Islands that would have become one of the strategically owned lands in the Sea for India.

Under Nehru’s watch, 5,180 square kilometres of Indian territory in the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) was ceded by Pakistan to China under the Boundary Agreement of 1963. That is another blunder made by Nehru where China took control of Indian territory and the then Congress government, headed by Rahul Gandhi’s great-grandfather did nothing.

Nehru had ignored warning from Army

The Army commander had tried to warn then-PM Nehru about a possible attack on India by China around two and a half years before the 1962 war. Nehru categorically ignored the warning that resulted in India losing the war.

Nehru and the then defence minister Krishna Menon did not feel the need to take professional military advice, and the result was that India suffered its worst-ever defeat during the Indo-China conflict in 1962.

Indian Air Force was kept out of the 1962 war

Air Marshal Denzil Keelor (Retd.), during an interview, said that PM Nehru made sure to keep Air Force out of the Indo-China war of 1962. There was no support for the Indian Air Force from the then-government at the centre. Keelor said Nehru depended on diplomacy and ignored the warnings and detailed assessments made by armed forces.

Had Jawaharlal Nehru paid attention to the detailed studies in 1960, India’s defeat at the hands of the Chinese could have been avoided. Keelor had stated that at the time of the war, Indian Army’s soldiers did not even have proper woollen clothing to face the weather and the difficult terrain of the Himalayas.

640 square kilometer land occupied under Manmohan-led government

Though Congress never admitted, the fact is China occupied over 640 square kilometres of Indian land during UPA’s tenure. From 2010 to 2013, China entered Indian territory for around 600 times. The landgrab happened after India and China signed nine agreements, including the Border Defence Cooperation Agreement (BDCA). Though China itself presented the Agreement, it undermined the agreement and continued incursions into the Indian side. None of the bilateral agreements signed between India and China 1993, 1996, 2005, and 2012 managed to stop China’s plans to take over land that belongs to India.

Contrary to Rahul Gandhi’s claims of 15 minutes, the UPA was in power with Manmohan Singh as the Prime Minister of India for 10 years between from 2004 and 2014. Yet, the then Indian government, controlled by Rahul Gandhi’s family did nothing about the Chinese incursions. In fact, they were busy signing MoUs with the Chinese Communist Party and receiving donations from them.

Congress wanted to let go of Siachen

Congress PM Manmohan Singh had even wanted to demilitarize Siachen, as a ‘peace gesture’ towards Pakistan. Siachen holds the utmost importance when it comes to keeping borders safe from the neighbouring countries. In 2006, according to former Chief of Army Staff General (Retd) JJ Singh, then-PM Manmohan Singh-led UPA government was possibly under the United State’s pressure to cede territories of Siachen glacier to Pakistan in a bid to settle disputes. If that had happened, it would have been catastrophic for India’s border security.

Former United States first lady Michelle Obama on Tuesday accused US President Donald Trump of being a “racist” as she defended the riots unleashed by the radical-left group Antifa in the country during the George Floyd protests.

Endorsing Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, Michelle Obama, the wife of former US President Barak Obama, in her 24-minute speech attacked US President Trump and claimed that Republicans were “stoking fears about black and brown Americans”.

Calling the recent riots following the death of George Floyd in the US as an ‘overwhelmingly peaceful movement’, Michelle Obama said, “They’re stoking fears about black and brown Americans. Lying about how minorities will destroy the suburbs, whipping up violence and intimidation, and they’re pinning it all on what’s been an overwhelmingly peaceful movement for racial solidarity”.

Michelle Obama, continuing her attack against Trump, said that he was “morally wrong” for taking actions that intimidate voters.

She continued, “Research backs it up, only a tiny fraction of demonstrations have had any violence at all. So what the president is doing is once again patently false, it’s morally wrong. And yes, it is racist. But that doesn’t mean it won’t work.”

It is rather shocking that the Michelle Obama has not only attempted to whitewash the widespread riots and lootings unleashed by radical-left elements in the US, but has also attempted to change the entire narrative of the George Floyd protests and the subsequent riots in the US by holding the authorities responsible for the large-scale violence.

Violence, arson and riots by leftist groups after the death of George Floyd

It is pertinent to note that a wave of riots was unleashed soon after the death of George Floyd by police brutality in the city of Minneapolis. Violent mobs had rampaged through the streets pillaging and looting stores and engaging in vandalism and arson. Many stores, boutiques had been looted and destroyed by the violent rioters in various parts of the country.

Protesters had hit the streets staging large-scale demonstrations across the country and had also clashed with police in various cities. The violent protestors, joining hands with radical-left groups such as ‘Antifa’ had torched down public properties, buildings and cars during the so-called peaceful protests.

According to a report, the riots, which is referred to as a ‘peaceful movement for racial solidarity’ by Michelle Obama has cost nearly $2 billion for the US economy as businesses and livelihoods were destroyed, including the large scale damages to properties. More than 570 protest marches during the George Floyd protests had turned violent in the US.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday entered 20th year as an elected public representative. On 7th October 2001, he had taken oath as Gujarat Chief Minister for the first time. A video of the same has gone viral on social media.

Narendra Modi had taken oath in Gujarati as the Chief Minister of state. He was not an MLA at that time. Few months later, he had been elected from Rajkot West seat which was vacated by Vajubhai Vala.

In 2001, few months after the devastating earthquake struck Gujarat, the Keshubhai Patel led BJP government in state was facing tough time. There were allegations of corruption, abuse of power and poor administration. After Keshubhai Patel resigned over his ill health, Narendra Modi, who had never held a public post was made the Chief Minister. A decade later, Modi would resign as Chief Minister of Gujarat to take oath as Prime Minister of India.

Will Kheti Bachao Yatra turn out to be India’s Rose Garden superspreader event, thanks to Rahul Gandhi?

As more and more politicians are testing positive for Covid-19, Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu is the latest one to join the list. Sidhu was found positive for the Wuhan virus on Tuesday and is currently under home isolation.

Apart from Sidhu being positive for Covid-19, the concern is that he had shared stage with many Congress leaders including Congress dynast Rahul Gandhi a day before he was found positive. Sidhu had shared stage with Rahul Gandhi during a tractor rally during Kheti Bachao Yatra held at Sangrur on October 5 where he had also said that masks hardly mattered to him in front of PM Modi’s farm bills. According to Punjab’s nodal officer for Covid-19 Rajesh Bhaskar, Sidhu was feeling tired on Monday night and had developed mild fever and a throat infection the next morning. His sample was taken last night only and the report arrived today afternoon in which he was found positive.

However, displaying a highly irresponsible behaviour in times of pandemic, Congress scion Rahul Gandhi is continuously attending mass gatherings instead of isolating himself and getting tested. Being a ‘youth icon’ as claimed by his supporters, Gandhi is is not just setting a really bad example for people but also risking the lives of those he comes in contact with.

Hours after Sidhu tested positive for coronavirus, Rahul Gandhi, who had shared a stage with him, was found leading a huge gathering of Congress workers toward Haryana. As one can see above, social distancing norms are being flouted and wearing a mask does not seem like a good idea for them. As one can see, hundreds of people have gathered in close proximity to an individual who came in contact with a COVID positive person. It is not yet clear whether Rahul Gandhi got himself tested for the Chinese virus, but reports have suggested that the symptoms appear few days after an individual gets infected. Hence, a wise thing to do would have been getting himself isolated. But, for his political points, Rahul Gandhi risked lives of thousands of people.

Donald Trump’s Rose Garden Super-spreader event

Last week, US President Donald Trump hosted an event at the Rose Garden in White House which has turned out to be a super-spreader event with as many as 37 people having tested positive for coronavirus as per latest tally. This includes US President Donald Trump himself and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump.
