Lutyens ‘journalists’ peddle half-truths about RBI’s new KYC norms which help persecuted minorities to open bank accounts in India

The liberal-secular media thrived by Congress ecosystem has time and again tried to incite public, especially Muslim communities, by resorting to fake news and half-truths to incite them against the Narendra Modi government. In a similar move, some self-proclaimed ‘intellectuals’ and media professionals have yet again indulged in fear-mongering and fake propaganda against the Modi government.

On Saturday, some of these ‘journalists’ picked up an article reported in Times of India which stated that banks may introduce a new column in ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) forms for their depositors and clients to mention their religion. Reportedly, this requirement has necessitated after the changes made to FEMA Act regulations, which extend the benefits of opening NRO accounts and holding property to select religious minorities, excluding Muslims.

However, these amendments issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to the Foreign Exchange Management Regulations is not new, but was issued in 2018.

These regulations are limited to migrants who are from minority communities — Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians — from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, who are already staying in India and hold long-term visas (LTVs). These LTV holders can buy residential property and open bank accounts in India.

The amendment to Schedule 3 of the FEMA (Deposit) regulations states, “A person being a citizen of Bangladesh or Pakistan belonging to minority communities in those countries, namely, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians who is residing in India and has been granted a Long Term Visa (LTV) by the central government is permitted to open with an authorized dealer only one NRO Account.

Read- Reserve Bank of India clarifies that it has not sold any gold or trading in it, refutes the ET report categorically

An NRO account is basically a savings or current account held by NRIs in India to manage their income earned in India.

Most importantly, the FEMA regulations state, “The said NRO account shall be converted to a resident account once the person becomes a citizen of India within the meaning of the Citizenship Act, 1955.”

The above provision which was brought in 2018, will now aid the persecuted minorities belonging to three neighbouring countries who are already residing in India to open resident accounts and also buy one residential immovable property in the country for themselves. Further, the resident Muslims, who are already citizens of the country will not have any effect as they open resident accounts and not NRO accounts.

Rajeev Kumar, the Finance Secretary, Secretary Department of Financial Services (DFS) also clarified that there is no requirement for Indian citizens to declare their religion for opening bank accounts for KYC.

However, the usual suspects in the media fraternity tried to communalise a simple regulation passed by the RBI to ease the provisions of FEMA to enable the new citizens of the country to open bank accounts in the country.

Faye D’Souza, one time TV ‘news’ anchor claiming to be ‘journalist’, as usual, was keen to express her anguish on the regulations without even reading the details of the provisions of the FEMA regulations that were brought in by the RBI in 2018 itself even before Modi government decided to implement the CAA.

At a time when Muslim mobs are creating riots on streets, senior ‘elites’ like D’Souza should have been careful not to indulge in fear-mongering and incite Muslims by further propaganda.

Pritish Nandy, another Congress-era ‘journalist’ blames the Modi government for a decision taken by an independent RBI.

Maya Mirchandani, a former news anchor at NDTV who is now associated with an ultra left-wing fake news website – The Wire, displayed her ignorance on the regulations and attempted to trivialise the issue by calling it ‘communal’.

Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, another left-wing ‘journalist’ also vented out his anger against the country and tried to mislead it as another ‘religious’ issue.

After inciting Muslim population across the country to take up arms against the Modi government, the Indian media mafia is likely to pick up these non-issues of bank regulations to twist it suit their ‘communal’ propaganda against the government.

At a time when the media fraternity should have tried to clear misgivings and confusions among the Muslims community regarding the CAA, the media fraternity is pushing such carefully crafted half-truths to further destabilise the law and order in the country.

After Mamata Banerjee, communist govt in Kerala puts NPR work on hold due to ‘apprehensions’ that it would lead to NRC

The Communist Kerala government led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in a controversial decision has ordered a stay on all activities relating to the updation of National Population Register (NPR) in the state scheduled to be held in April 2020.

Through an order issued on Friday late evening, the left government in the state stayed all activities connected with the updation of NPR. “Considering the apprehensions among the general public about the conduct of NPR related activities would lead to the national register of citizens (NRC) in the wake of the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019, the state government orders to stay all the activities connected with the updation of NPR in the state,” the order issued by general administration department principal secretary KR Jyothilal said.

While the government order said the NPR had been put on hold in view of the “apprehensions” of the public that it would lead to the National Register of Citizens (NRC), a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office said the action was taken as the NPR “deviates from Constitutional values” and also because the matter was before the Supreme Court.

The BJP government has decided to prepare a National Population Register (NPR) by September 2020 to lay the foundation for rolling out a citizens’ register across the country.

Read: Modi government dispels myths about NRC: Here are 13 FAQs and their answers published by the govt

The objective of the NPR is to create a comprehensive identity database of every usual resident in the country. The database would contain demographic as well as biometric particulars.

The government has said that a usual resident is defined for the purposes of NPR as a person who has resided in a local area for the past 6 months or more or a person who intends to reside in that area for the next 6 months or more and that it is mandatory for every usual citizen to register with NPR.

The data for National Population Register was actually collected in 2010 alongwith the house listing phase of Census of India 2011. The updation of this data was done during 2015 by conducting door to door survey. The digitisation of the updated information has been completed. Now it has been decided to update the National Population Register along with the Houselisting phase of Census 2021 during April to September 2020 in all the States/UTs except Assam. Gazette notification to this effect has already been published by the Central Government.

Interestingly, while the opposition continues to call CAA and NRC including NPR ‘communal’, NPR, according to the Census website does not require the religion of the person to be mentioned at all.

The updation of NPR, the fieldwork of which is carried out by the state government, was scheduled between April 15 and May 29 next year in Kerala. The Left government in Kerala who had earlier agreed to participate in the process has now taken a U-turn saying the process “deviates from constitutional values”.

Earlier this week, the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee had also decided to stay all activities relating to the preparation and updation of the NPR in the eastern state amid the furore over the CAA.

The BJP has reacted sharply to the Bengal government’s stay. The party’s national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, who has been camping in West Bengal since the protests started against the Citizenship Amendment Act, called it “irresponsible politics by Mamata Banerjee”.

“If she is so disturbed and upset by the Act, why did her MPs not mention all these during the debate in Parliament? Why did eight of her MPs remain absent in Lok Sabha on the day? These are instances of cheap politics and theatrics,” said Vijayvargiya.

Sharad Pawar bats for Bhima Koregaon violence accused ‘Urban Naxals’, demands ‘fresh probe’ from CM Thackeray

After senior NCP leader Jitendra Awhad exhorted Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray to drop charges against accused Urban Naxals in Bhima Koregaon violence case, now the party supremo Sharad Pawar has demanded a fresh probe on Bhima Koregaon violence case.

Casting aspersions on the investigative agencies’ role in the Bhima Koregaon case, Sharad Pawar said, “We will ask CM Uddhav Thackeray to form a Special Investigation Team to probe the matter.”

The five suspected ‘Urban Naxals’, identified as Delhi based activist Rona Wilson, advocate Surendra Gadling, professor Shoma Sen and Mahesh Raut from Nagpur and Mumbai’s Sudhir Dhavle were arrested by the Pune police on 6 June 2018, over charges of organising the Elgaar Parishad held at Pune’s Shaniwarwada on 31 December 2017, which is believed to have instigated the Bhima-Koregaon violence a day later.

The NCP led by Sharad Pawar has always sided with the ‘Urban Naxals’, referring to them as ‘activists’ and not accused. Earlier, after the formation of Maha Vikas Aghadi government in the state, senior NCP leader Dr Jitendra Awhad had urged CM Thackeray to release Bhima Koregaon violence accused as they were, according to him, falsely incriminated.

Pawar too had sided with the ‘Urban Naxals’ from the start. He had filed an affidavit with the Bhima Koregaon Commission holding the Devendra Fadnavis-led Maharashtra Government responsible for the violence and giving a clean chit to the ‘Urban Naxals’.

“It is not possible for anti-social elements with a strong political vendetta to come together at such a large number at Bhima Koregaon without the failure of the law-enforcing agency. Hence the state has to own up responsibility for a failed law-and-order situation on January 1, 2018,” Pawar said in the affidavit.

It is noteworthy to mention that the Pune Sessions Court had recently rejected the bail application of all the nine alleged ‘Urban Naxals’ namely, Surendra Gadling, Varavara Rao, Sudha Bhardwaj, Vernon Gonsalves, Arun Ferreira, Shoma Sen, Mahesh Raut and Rona Wilson, accused of instigating the Bhima-Koregaon violence that took place on 1st January 2018 in Pune.

Idols will be removed, thrones will vanish, only Allah’s name will remain: Complaint against IIT-K’s Jamia solidarity event

0

The anti-CAA protests which are being carried out across the country by certain sections of the population, especially Muslims, have already turned communal and violent.

From Muslim mobs vandalising public infrastructures to ‘students’ shouting communal slogans like “Allahu Akbar and ‘Naara-e-Takbeer’ inside public universities, the trends have been clear that the protests are nowhere related to expressing dissent against the government regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act but more of displaying religious hatred towards other communities.

In a similar incident in the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur (IIT-K), the protestors resorted to blatantly communal slogans, only to be stopped by students of the university.

According to a report by Swarajya journalist Swati Goel Sharma, a faculty of the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur (IIT-K) has given a written complaint to the institute’s director, objecting to purported anti-India and communal statements made in a recent ‘solidarity with Jamia students’ event held in the campus.

Read: AAP MLA and Delhi Waqf Board Chairman Amanatullah Khan rewards Md Minhajuddin, who got ‘injured’ during Jamia anti-CAA riots

Dr Vashi Sharma, a faculty from the mechanical department, has raised a complaint along with video evidence of the anti-CAA protests to the director, appealing for action against the participants.

In the video, according to Sharma, lines from ‘Hum Dekhenge’ have been recited along with placards reading, “tumhari laathi aur goli se tez hamari awaaz hai” (our voice is louder than your sticks and bullets).

The poem reads, “Lazim hai ke hum bhi dekhenge. Jab arz-e-Khuda ke kaabe se. Sab but uthwae jaenge. Hum ahl-e-safa mardood-e-harm. Masnad pe bethae jaenge. Sab taaj uchale jaenge. Sab takht girae jaenge. Bas naam rahega Allah ka. Hum dekhenge.”

The lines used from the poem appear deeply communal in isolation and are often used by Pakistani-sponsored terrorists and separatists in Kashmir to express their anti-Hindu and anti-India hatred. The ones raising these slogans essentially wanted that all the idols, crowns will be vanished to keep Allah’s name alive.

The English translation for the same is, “We will witness. It is definite that we too will witness. When from Allah’s place, when all idols will be removed. When crowns will be tossed. When thrones will vanish. Only Allah’s name will remain…”

As students in IIT-Kanpur began to recite these communal lines during the anti-CAA protests, some other students had reportedly interrupted the recitation. In this regard, Professor Sharma has filed a complaint, which is also signed by 15 other students of the institute.

“I was shocked as these lines are cited as a communal call frequently in Pakistan, and have been popularised by Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s radical anti-India party – PTI. They are published on Khan’s official website,” said Prof Sharma.

He further added that it was evident that the gathering was orchestrated by certain nefarious elements and was aimed at radicalising innocent students, spreading hate against India and communally vitiating the atmosphere of the institute.

In his complaint, Sharma said that there is now an “immediate security situation” for him as well as those students who objected to the statements made by protestors.

“Kindly know that when I was returning from the venue, I was shown middle finger by a participant of the rally. Another one shouted loudly – “so here he lives” in a threatening tone indirectly suggesting others to harm me later,” the complaint said.

The complaint also urged the IIT administration to take immediate disciplinary and legal action against the hate mob. “Organisers and masterminds must be identified and expelled immediately,” Sharma demanded in his complaint.

AAP MLA and Delhi Waqf Board Chairman Amanatullah Khan rewards Md Minhajuddin, who got ‘injured’ during Jamia anti-CAA riots

Jamia Nagar in Delhi where the Jamia Millia Islamia University is located had been converted into a battle zone by Muslim mobs which vandalised and torched public properties, pelted stones at police personnel and indulged in widespread violence on Sunday. While innumerable police personnel were injured in the brawl so were several rioters. Expressing his sympathy for one such protestor named Md Minhajuddin who reportedly ‘injured’ his eye during Jamia anti-CAA riots, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, who is also the chairman of the Delhi Waqf Board, on Thursday provided Minhajuddin financial aid by offering him a check of Rs 5 Lakh and a permanent job at Waqf Board.

AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan provided Rs 5 lakh cheque and appointment letter to Md Minhajuddin

Amanatullah Khan had visited Minhajuddin, who was injured during Jamia riots, at his residence and gave him the financial help and the job papers.

Interestingly, Amanatullah Khan, the AAP MLA, was on December 15, himself spotted leading the protests that had turned violent. Minutes after it was reported that Khan was present at the protest site which turned violent, AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted an appeal for peace.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also alleged that it was actually Delhi Police which facilitated setting the buses on fire at the behest of the BJP.

In an expose done by OpIndia, it had been revealed that in WhatsApp groups by Congress’ NSUI that were coordinating several ‘protests’, a message naming Amanatullah Khan had been circulated. The message said that anyone from Jamia can contact Khan if they fall into trouble with the police. This was at the peak of riots by Jamia students and others.

Protests in Jamia Nagar turned violent on December 15 as buses were torched and vandalized by Muslim mobs in the National Capital. The protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act began from Jamia Millia Islamia University and it is not clear whether students from the University were involved with the protests or not.

At Jamia Nagar in Delhi where the university is located, Jihadist slogans were raised. The so-called ‘protesters’ raised slogans of ‘Hinduon se Azadi’ and ‘Chheen ke lengey Azadi’ and ‘Ladh ke lengey Azadi’. The slogans translate to ‘Freedom from Hindus’, ‘We will fight for freedom’. Given the violence that was witnessed, the ‘fight’ cannot be interpreted as a non-violent ‘fight’ alone.

Additional DCP (South East), Kumar Gyanesh had also asserted that by looking at the preparations made by the protestors, it appeared that the violent protests were not instantaneous but planned well in advance. He had claimed that a probe has been ordered to ascertain if the violent acts of arson and vandalism during the protests were engineered beforehand.

Anti-CAA violence: Section 144 extended till 31st January in Uttar Pradesh, internet service suspended in 21 districts

0

As the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act intensified across the country, the situation has turned violent in many places in Uttar Pradesh, prompting the administration to impose prohibitory orders in the entire state. After large scale rioting and arson took place in several places in UP in the name of anti-CAA protests, section 144 of the CRPC has been extended in the state till 31st January. Section 144 was enforced in the state on Wednesday night.

According to reports, eleven persons have died and many others got injured as the protests against the CAA turned violent in Uttar Pradesh in the last two days. UP’s Additional DGP PV Ramashastry also said that deaths were not caused by police action as the police have not fired a single bullet. Violence has taken place in places like Meerut, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Firozabad, Sambhal and Kanpur etc. Along with section 144, internet connection is also snapped in 21 districts in the state.

UP police have informed that 218 persons have been arrested and 3305 detained for defying prohibitory orders. Protesters in the state vandalised of torched several police vehicles in Amroha, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, BulandShahr and Hapur, and police were unable to stop them even after using teargas shells and batons. Rioters resorted to stone-pelting and other violent activities during the anti-CAA protests. In several cities, self-imposed curfew was seen as shopkeepers kept their shutters down in fear of vandalism.

The UP government has ordered that all schools, colleges and universities will remain closed on Saturday. The 21 districts where internet services have been barred are Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Agra, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Varanasi, Mathura, Meerut, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Bareilly, Firozadad, Pilibhit, Rampur, Saharanpur, Shamli, Sambhal, Amroha, Mau and Azamgarh. The internet services will be restored only after a review of the situation on Saturday evening, govt officials said.

Anti-CAA riots: RJD workers, armed with sticks and flags with Lalu’s face, vandalise autorickshaws during ‘bandh’ called in Bihar

The anti-CAA protests that have been raging on have soon descended into an excuse to cause riots, violence, arson and vandalisation. Today, visuals emerged from Bhagalpur, Bihar where RJD has called for an anti-CAA ‘bandh’. They are reportedly also opposing NRC. In the visuals, RJD workers, armed with sticks, can be seen vandalising autorickshaws.

The vandals who allegedly belong to RJD can be seen carrying large flags with the photograph of a convicted criminal and party supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Like many other states across the country, Bihar had also turned into a war zone as the left-wing parties with support from around six Opposition parties in Bihar called for a statewide shutdown on Thursday in protest against the amended Citizenship Act and the proposed country-wide implementation of National Register of Citizens.

As per reports, Anti-CAA rioters took to the streets, resulting in large-scale traffic disruption, arson and vandalism. The rioters vandalised private and commercial vehicles in and around Patna during the bandh. In some districts including Patna, Ara and Darbhanga protesters disrupted rail routes.

Reports stated that workers of Jan Adhikar Party had indulged in vandalism in several areas of Patna. Stone pelting and arson incidents have been reported too.

Political parties have been at the forefront of fomenting trouble. OpIndia had exposed a WhatsApp group where Congress’ NSUI functionaries were planning and coordinating widespread protests across the country and dressing it up as organic protests. Recently, a Congress Corportator was arrested for instigating a Muslim mob in Ahmedabad that pelted stones and almost lynched a policeman.

The Uttar Pradesh police have registered also a case against several accused persons including Samajwadi Party (SP) leaders Shafiqur Rahman Barq and Feroz Khan for indulging in violent protests in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh.

A mob led by Congress MP Jignesh Mevani had turned violent in Gujarat and mercilessly attacked a police van recently as well.

Anti-CAA protest at Kranti Maidan, Mumbai: 11 videos that show clueless protestors who have no idea why they are protesting

The anti-CAA protests are being held in various parts of the country. The protests which started as a peaceful event has now turned blatantly communal and violent as it was evident in various parts of the country including West Bengal, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka etc. One of the anti-CAA protests was also held at the August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai.

However, the agenda behind the protests are being gradually exposed as most of the protestors who had gathered to express their ‘dissent’ against the Citizenship Amendment Act have no clue regarding what the legislation intends to do.

The ‘dissenting’ protestors seem to have inspired by Bollywood entertainers like Farhan Akhtar who himself had to face severe embarrassment after he failed to provide one logical explanation to the so-called protests against Citizenship Amendment Act. Earlier in the day, Akhtar had resorted to fake claims and propaganda to incite people against the Modi government.

Read: Truth behind anti-CAA image shared by Farhan Akhtar: A Kashmiri separatist org that called Islamic terror org JKLF ‘secular’

A digital media group named ‘Know the Nation’ managed to interview certain ‘protestors’ on Thursday who had gathered at the iconic August Kranti Maidan, Mumbai to protest against the Modi government over Citizenship Amendment Act.

In one of the horrific videos posted on social media by Know the Nation, a boy who claims to be 17-years-old said he wanted to hang Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah. The young boy claimed that Muslims of the country are being killed and hence he has come to August Kranti Maidan to protest against the alleged atrocities against Muslims. The young boy said he was there to oppose “NRCC”.

A young woman at the Mumbai August Kranti Maidan said she was there to make a strong point to the government and show her dissent no matter how much government tried to ‘throttle’ her voice.

As reporter asked her regarding what the protest was really about, the lady protestor was perplexed and did not have an idea about why people were protesting.

Another clueless lady said CAA was discriminatory against women who got married and intends to change their surnames multiple times after their marriage. The lady claims that she was at the protest for ‘secular’ reasons and claimed that the bill is discriminatory against women who are being trafficked and forced to do prostitution.

One lady protestor claimed that she was protesting against CAA because she loved everybody in the country except PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Another lady pointing her fingers towards placards that had anti-CAA posts said, “this is ridiculous”. The lady said that she did not want India to be divided again.

Read: Modi government dispels myths about CAA: Here are 19 FAQs and their answers

As the reporter asked what was the exact issue for the protests, the lady got confused and said she did not answer any more questions.

“The bills affect transgenders who have had to change their documentation,” said another young blindfolded lady at anti-CAA protests in August Kranti Maidan, Mumbai. The lady protestor claimed that the CAA was not just discriminatory to Muslims but also to every other religious group.

Shockingly, another lady protestor did not know the reason why she was at the protest site. As the reporter asked the reason for her protest, the lady panicked and refused to give her reason for the protest.

The most bizarre one among all those videos that exposed the protestors was one such interview in which the protestors said that she was protesting against discrimination against Muslims as they will be sent to ‘detention camps’ if they fail to submit documents to prove that they are citizens of the country.

Another group of protestors were holding “Stop Transbill” placards during their protests against CAA at August Kranti Maidan, Mumbai. When asked the reason for raising Trans Bill placards at Anti-CAA protests, a protestor said they were against the “transformation” that is taking place in India. The protestor said he collected the placard from one of his friends.

Read: Modi government dispels myths about NRC: Here are 13 FAQs and their answers published by the govt

In a quick retort, the reporter asked whether the bill had anything to do with the Transgender community, to which the protestor laughed out loudly saying it has nothing to those community but associated with the ‘Transformation’ of the country.

“The bill will push all the minorities and Muslims out of the country. Our PAN cards and Aadhar cards will not prove our identity as Indians. But it is okay since CAA will protect us Hindus. But Muslims will be losing their rights, land rights sent off to detention camps with millions of them suffering,” said two ladies in the protest in Mumbai.

Asked where will be these detention camps, the lady said the detention camps will be in Assam. The lady claimed that nearly 19 lakh people have already been sent to detention camps.

“If you recall the Nazi incident in Germany, that is what Hitler did. This is fascism. This is the truth. Modi is burning down our country,” said a protesting lady.

An NRI student went on to give a short speech on morality and how discriminatory the CAA was but failed to give reasons for any of her claims.

Interestingly, there were two international protestors as well at the protest site in Mumbai. One person claiming to be from France said that the CAA and NRC were super-discriminatory against transgenders because they are no more the same sex they were born into and hence cannot prove citizenship.”

It is evident in the video that the protestors have little idea regarding the provisions of the Citizenship Amendment Act. The protestors also have resorted to fear-mongering by speculating on the provisions of a nationwide NRC, whose guidelines are yet to be formulated by the government.

These videos have exposed the claims of ‘liberal-media’ industry that the ‘protests’ against the Citizenship Amendment Act has been organic and not orchestrated by any political, religious or ideological group. The protestors who have zero ideas of provisions of the Citizenship Amendment Act seems to have manipulated and brainwashed by a carefully crafted anti-Muslim narrative of the certain sections of media of the country.

Read: Who is instigating violence in colleges: Congress, NSUI, a sinister WhatsApp group and anti-CAA protests

The political parties, backed by Islamists, left groups and pliable media have used the opportunity to incite public, especially Muslims of the country to pick up arms against the country under the garb of protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

The Citizenship Amendment act seeks to give Indian citizenship to the members of Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities who have come from three neighbouring Islamic countries – Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh after facing religious persecution.

The Act states the refugees of the six communities will be given Indian citizenship after residing in India for five years, instead of earlier requirement of 11 years. The Act also proposes to give immunity to such refugees facing legal cases after being found as illegal migrants. The cut-off date for granting citizenship will be December 31, 2014.

Anti-CAA riots: As propaganda spreads about ‘children’ being arrested, CNN-News18 deletes video showing young Muslim rioters in Kanpur

The anti-CAA protests have descended into blatant rioting, violence and arson by Muslim mobs throughout the country. From the lanes of Uttar Pradesh to premier institutes like Jamia Millia Islamia University and Aligarh Muslim University, from Gujarat to West Bengal, Muslim mobs have gone on a rampage pelting stones, damaging public property, in some cases even attempting to lynch police officers, burning trains and pushing the country into a state of chaos.

While the news of violence, arson and stone-pelting emerge every day, yesterday was especially concerning since there were several videos that emerged from Uttar Pradesh where these anti-CAA rioters could be seen wreaking havoc.

One of those videos that were from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh prominently showed Muslim children pelting stones during the anti-CAA riots. The video that was uploaded by CNN News 18 on Twitter was even used by OpIndia in one of our reports. The embedded tweet can be seen here.

Tweet of CNN News 18 embedded in OpIndia article

The tweet with the video where children were pelting stones has now been inexplicably deleted by CNN News 18.

Tweet deleted by CNN News 18

However, CNN was clearly a tad late in deleting their tweet, since alert netizens had downloaded the video that the channel had tried to conceal later.

CNN News 18 had tweeted a series of tweets with several videos which showed rampaging Muslim mobs during anti-CAA riots in Uttar Pradesh. One has to wonder why only this video from Kanpur which showed Muslim children being a part of the mob was deleted without any explanation.

Read: Watch: 9 videos of stone pelting, arson, vandalism by Muslims mobs and action by police during anti-CAA riots in UP today

Interestingly, just as the tweet was deleted by CNN News 18, Leftist propaganda outlet The Wire started its propaganda about “innocent children” being beaten up in Delhi’s Daryaganj area.

The Wire has, of course, provided no proof to back its claim up. They have merely tweeted that supposed children were beaten up by the police.

The propaganda was then quoted by the Liberal darling Faye D Souza, who has often been caught peddling fake news and anti-majority agenda.

Faye said that the fact that “Children” are being beaten up by the police should make our “blood run cold”. The insinuation by The Wire and Faye D Souza is that the police is randomly arresting innocent Muslim children and beating them up in a fit of anti-Muslim hate. However, the fact that children were involved in brutal stone pelting has not been mentioned by any of these propagandists.

One has to wonder if CNN News 18 deleted their tweet to ensure that the narrative about “innocent” Muslim children being arrested and beaten by “Modi’s police” is not hurt, considering that video prominently showed Muslim children stone-pelting as a part of the raging Muslim mob.

One has to recall that this agenda is not new. The Wire and several other leftist portals had peddled the narrative that after the abrogation of Article 370, several children were illegally detained in Kashmir. However, the Supreme Court which went through the fresh report submitted by the Juvenile Justice Committee (JJC) from the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, over the alleged detention of children in Jammu and Kashmir post the abrogation of Article 370 in the Valley, had reiterated that there seems to be misinformation being spread on this issue and concluded that no minor has been detained.

Read: Supreme Court upholds the report of JK Juvenile Justice Committee, nails the lies spread by leftist media over ‘detention of children in Kashmir’

The SC’s observation came after the JJC, comprising of HC judges Ali Mohammad Magrey, Dhiraj Singh Thakur, Sanjeev Kumar and Rashid Ali Dar, in its fresh report submitted, stuck to its earlier findings which had found no basis on the claims made by many Leftist media portals claiming that 144 minor boys were ‘arrested’ in Jammu and Kashmir since August 5.

The Left is clearly not averse to using children for their propaganda, whether it is to paint them as the victims of state brutality or use them for their propaganda. With the Kashmir propaganda falling flat, one cannot assume that CNN News 18 could not have deleted the video to help further this propaganda that is now being peddled by the likes of The Wire and Faye D Souza.

Anti-CAA protests: Kerala branch of Congress student wing NSUI block bus belonging to India’s pride, ISRO

The anti-CAA protests which have turned violent across the country took another ugly turn on Friday after Congress’ Kerala Students Union (KSU) members in Peroorkada junction of Kerala blocked the bus belonging to the country’s proudest organisation – ISRO. It is worthy to note that Kerala Students Union (KSU) is the Kerala branch of the National Students Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Indian National Congress.

According to ANI, the disgraceful event has occurred in Peroorkada junction on Friday night after members of Kerala Students Union (KSU) blocked the buses of ISRO during their protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. A picture of the KSU protest, in which the crowd can be seen stalling the bus with ‘Govt of India’ written on it.

The protestors in Kerala, backed by Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Kerala Students Union (KSU), which is the Kerala chapter of NSUI (Congress student wing) have hit the streets to protest against CAA. Reportedly, the protestors have blocked various trains at railway stations in Palakkad and Thiruvananthapuram. Addition to that, the protestors have also blocked Karnataka RTC buses in some parts of Kozhikode.

However, the student politicians by blocking buses of ISRO, the organisation which has nothing to do with the Citizenship Amendment Act, have exposed their disregard and hatred towards such premier scientific institutions of the country.

ISRO – India’s premier space agency, carries great respect not only in the country but also across the world for its unique space missions, low-cost satellite launches and various other scientific researches.

The country has been witnessing severe violent protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
