Farmani Naaz takes down ‘Har Har Shambhu’ after its original writer Jitu Sharma takes legal action: All you need to know about the controversy

‘Har Har Shambhu’, the popular song sung by Farmani Naaz that sensationalized the internet within no time, has been removed from YouTube due to copyright issues. Jitu Sharma, the original writer of the song has alleged that Naaz stole his song and failed to give him the credits. Naaz had found herself in trouble earlier as well after being abused by Islamists for singing the song. Deoband cleric had slammed her saying that singing this song was haraam in Islam and against Sharia.

According to reports, Jitu had recorded the song in the voice of Abhilipsa Panda, who recently released a tweet saying that an Islamist girl (Naaz) was falsely claiming that the song was originally recorded in her voice and that she is the owner of the composition.

Sharma elaborating on the incident said that Farmani released the song amid the adored ‘Shravan’ month of the Hindu calendar and gained popularity within no time. He said that he had taken a lot of effort to write, compose and record the song. “I don’t have a problem with Farmani singing the song. But she should have given the credit to us”, he said.

Reports mention that Naaz deliberately kept on ignoring the fact that the song never belonged to her. She kept on claiming the originality of the song but lastly had to take down the song due to copyright infringement. Jitu also revealed the story behind the song. He said that he had to sell his vehicle to arrange finances for the recording of the song. “I wrote the song when I was assisting my father at his shop. I showed it to my Guru and then we discussed recording it. We wanted a girl to sing the song so then we started looking for the candidates and we found Abhilipsa. We needed finances so I decided to sell my loader vehicle”.

He added, “.. the vehicle was also purchased on EMI. I had paid Rs 80,000 as a down payment and also paid the instalments for the following four years. I sold the car for Rs 60,000. I was supposed to travel to Jamshedpur for recording and would spend Rs 500 daily. That was too much expensive for me. I would also take Abhilipsa with me”.

Jitu Sharma, the original writer of the song which has now been taken down from YouTube belongs to the state of Odisha and is poor. His father runs a small vegetable shop. Sharma has seen bad financial times since his childhood. He could not even complete his education due to his father’s vulnerable financial position. He did his 12th and then later opened a YouTube channel in the year 2012 where he uploaded his songs and compositions with his Guru Akash.

Reports mention that Jitu is not sad about Farmani Naaz singing his song, but is sad about not giving him the credit for the composition. He has now decided to take legal action against Naaz.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ to release in Pakistan? Media group approaches for NOC, Ministry says no Indian film will release in the country: Pak media

Amid the abysmal opening of the Amir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha at the box office, the Bollywood movie may release in Pakistan, according to local media. This is though the country had banned Indian content in 2019 after the tensions between the two countries escalated due to the abrogation of Article 370 from Kashmir.

According to the reports from Pakistan, a media group has approached the information ministry for a NOC on the countrywide screening of Laal Singh Chaddha. The film is being distributed globally by Paramount Pictures and is imported into Pakistan by the Cinepax Media group. The group has approached for the ‘No Objection Certificate’ and the movie will be released in the country after the NOC is approved.

Earlier the importers had plans to release the movie countrywide on August 11. While Saad Baig, the General Manager of Cinepax Media Group stated to the local media channel that the movie will be released after the NOC is approved, the Information Ministry stated that they have not received any request for NOC.

“Our policy is the same. No Indian film or any project produced in India will be released in the country”, the Ministry stated. Also, the Sindh Censor Board denied having received any such request. Reports mention that the film is first cleared by Information Ministry, then approved by the CBFC, and lastly is presented to the provincial boards for review.

Further, while the Information Ministry and Censor Boards have said that they have received no request for the NOC to release the Bollywood movie Laal Singh Chaddha in Pakistan, reports mention that there is a high probability that the movie might release in the country.

Since 2019, no Bollywood movie has marked its release in Pakistan. The country had banned all types of Indian content as the tensions escalated between the two countries on the grounds of abrogation of Article 370 from the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. The then Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan had said in a tweet, “No Indian movie will be screened in any Pakistani cinema. Drama, films and Indian content of this kind will be completely banned in Pakistan”.

As reported, the movie Laal Singh Chaddha in India has tanked at the box office with its opening day collection being abysmal. The collection on the first day of the Aamir Khan starrer movie is reported to be Rs 10-11 crores. It is reported to be the lowest opening that an Aamir Khan movie has seen in the past 13 years.

According to Bollywood pundits, an Aamir Khan movie should have ideally had an opening of Rs 30 crores. In the worst scenario, it should have not had an opening day collection of less than Rs 20 crores, however, the audience seems to have shunned the movie completely.

Movie ‘Raksha Bandhan’ tanks miserably on opening day, calls for boycott were made after Hinduphobic remarks of writer Kanika Dhillon had surfaced

Amidst calls for a boycott against the movie for the writer’s Hinduphobic views, the Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Raksha Bandhan’ failed to make a mark at the box office on its opening day with a single-digit collection. The movie hit the theatres on August 11 this year.

As per reports, the film garnered a paltry sum of ₹7.5 crores on the first day of its release. ‘Raksha Bandhan’ has underperformed compared to movies such as ‘Bachchhan Pandey’ and ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, which too tanked at the box office.

The performance of the film has been dismal in key cities of Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata. ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was made on a budget of over 70 crores but had about 12-15% occupancy in theatres across the country.

Interestingly, it failed to beat Aamir Khan starrer ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’, which amassed around ₹10-11 crores on its opening day. This was despite the fact that the official ‘Forrest Gump’ remake had been the lowest opening that a Khan movie witnessed in the past 13 years.

It must be mentioned that ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was shrouded in controversy, prior to its release, after several Hinduphobic tweets of its writer Kanika Dhillon had surfaced on social media.

Social media users had also called for a boycott of the movie. They argued that while Dhillon was making money off Hindus, she had been at the forefront of making derogatory remarks against the same community.

Kanika Dhillon and use of Gaumata, Gaumutra jibes

Under the guise of targeting the BJP and PM Modi, she had repeatedly attacked Hindu beliefs and religious sentiments. “Dying in the parking lot after waiting for a hospital bed…Yeh aache din hai! India super power hai! Aur gau mata ka mutra peene see Covid chala jayega (These are the good days…India is a super power. And drinking cow’s urine will cure Covid-19).”

The ‘gaumutra’ jibe has often been used by Islamists and their apologists, including the Pulwama terrorist Ahmed Dhar. He killed the CRPF soldiers as he wanted to avenge those who ‘drink cow urine.’

In several of her tweets, Kanika Dhillon was seen invoking ‘Gau mata’ to take potshots at the ruling dispensation at the Centre.

“Hmm you think one day the cows of India will also be contesting elections? Since they offer more solutions- benefits and protection than our Ministers! Holy cow! Jai Gaiyaa Mayya ki!” she had tweeted.

While labelling Hindustan as ‘Lynchistan’ over isolated cow vigilante attacks, she claimed that the ‘horrifed’ cows are willing to migrate to the United States and tolerate then US President Donald Trump instead of being in India.

The writer of Raksha Bandhan also derided Hindu sentiments by mocking cows while demanding a law against mob lynchings.

Jammu and Kashmir: Bihari migrant worker shot dead by terrorists in Bandipora

A migrant labourer from Bihar named Mohammad Amrez has been shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora. As per reports, he hailed from Bihar’s Madhepura and was working in Soadnara. He was taken to the hospital immediately but succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased worker’s brother has informed media that they heard firing sounds just after midnight. They initially thought that Amrez has gone to the toilet but they later found him in a poll of blood.

The brutal murder comes just a day after 4 personnel were killed and another was injured in an attack at an Army camp in the Rajouri district.

Laal Singh Chaddha is so bad that people are liking the review of ‘Deshdrohi’ actor KRK

Aamir Khan’s official remake of the 1994 Hollywood film ‘Forrest Gump’ opens to empty theatres and disappointing reviews, the audience is enthralled by a rather special ‘critical review’ of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ by actor Kamal R Khan (KRK).

On Friday (August 12), the ‘Deshdrohi’ actor uploaded a 13-minute long review of the Aamir Khan starrer on Youtube. At the time of writing, the video has been viewed over 1,39,951 times and has received over 25000 likes.

In his review, KRK has accused Aamir Khan of unnecessarily dragging the movie like chewing gum. “The film has added especially extra 15 minutes to show the greatness of the people of Pakistan,” KRK added.

The ‘Deshdrodhi’ actor asked, “If you wanted to play the character of a mentally deranged man, why did you feel the need to dress up like a Sikh? Do you want to imply that all Sikhs are mentally unstable?”

Kuch toh soch leta movie likhna se pehale (You should have put in more thought before writing this movie),” KRK had slammed Aamir Khan for logical fallacies throughout the movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha.’ KRK even questioned the scenes of a Pakistani military man being rescued, getting treatment, and staying on in India without any scrutiny or investigation.

He also emphasised how an aged cast tried to play the role of youngsters and sabotaged their own movie. “Screenplay is bad and scattered. It looks as if Aamir tried to accommodate every event that took place in India in one movie,” KRK concluded.

Netizens appreciate KRK for his critical review of Laal Singh Chaddha

Social media users applauded the review of KRK and urged him to continue dissing the Hindi film fraternity. “KRK single-handedly knocked Bollywood out of the park…Kudos,” wrote one Harsh Vardhan Singh.

“13-minute entertainment is better than a movie. Legend storyteller KRK,” another user pointed out.

One Biren remarked, “I can’t stop laughing that’s super hilarious.” Another user stated, “KRK Bhai your review is better than the whole movie.”

One Ajay Managaon wrote, “KRK sir creates more suspense to his followers than Bollywood movie. Morning he tweets, he won’t review…And he bombs all of a sudden.”

Another user stated, “I personally believe KRK was the first person who started boycotting Laal Singh Chaddha.”

Aamir Khan’s “much awaited” movie had fallen on its face in theatres as the shows are not getting the response as anticipated. The movie has opened to empty theatres even on a long weekend and Aamir’s acting is receiving flaks too.

Laal Singh Chaddha becomes Aamir Khan’s lowest opener in 13 years, first-day collection half of RRR, doesn’t even come close to KGF 2

Laal Singh Chaddha has tanked at the box office with its opening day collection being abysmal. According to news reports, the collection on the first day of the Aamir Khan starrer movie Laal Singh Chaddha is reported to be Rs 10-11 crores. It is reported to be the lowest opening that an Aamir Khan movie has seen in the past 13 years.

Reports suggest that in the first half of the opening day, it seemed like the movie would not touch a double-digit opening, however, it picked up slightly in the afternoon and had a double-digit opening. The movie is said to be doing better in Delhi and Punjab but has failed miserably in the rest of the country.

The movie’s opening and just how badly it did is evidenced by the fact that the opening was worse than the Kabir Khan directorial, 83, and the Farhad Samji film, Bachchhan Paandey. On the other hand, the movie did not even come close to opening days for movies that have been mega hits this year. While Laal Singh Chaddha opened at Rs 10-11 crores, RRR had an opening day collection of Rs 20.7 crores and KGF 2 had an opening day collection of 53.95 crores.

According to Bollywood pundits, an Aamir Khan movie should have ideally had an opening of Rs 30 crores. In the worst scenario, it should have not had an opening day collection of less than Rs 20 crores, however, the audience seems to have shunned the movie completely.

Earlier, when PR agencies were doing on overdrive trying to show an uptick in advance booking, Taran Adarsh had tweeted sounding a warning that people should not believe the hype that has been created. Film critic Taran Adarsh has shared that the advance bookings of Lal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Rakshabandhan were way below expectations. Adarsh further added that both the movies need word of mouth and walk-in audience/spot bookings to get a decent opening on Thursday, but clearly, that did not happen.

It is notable here that boycott calls against Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha have mired the promotion of the big-budget movie that is the official remake of Tom Hanks’s classic Forrest Gump. Aamir Khan’s anti-India statements in the past, his negative and derogatory portrayal of Hindu Gods in his movie PK and his overtly political statements of the past have all been adding to the prevailing sentiments of rejection among the audience of Hindi cinema.

Even Kareena Kapoor’s past statements of mocking the audience and participating in politically motivated campaigns have stirred negative sentiments against the movie.

YouTuber and film enthusiast Dewansh Singh Rajput published a video review of the film on his YouTube channel in which he made some worrisome allegations against the film. Though he repeatedly acknowledged that the acting by Aamir Khan was up to the mark, Rajput pointed out that the movie had several scenes that were allegedly made to satisfy specific propaganda and were Hinduphobic.

Rajput said several scenes targetted particular religions. The movie showed 84 anti-Sikh riots, emergency, Ram Mandir, Lal Krishna Advani, Kargil war, and 26/11, and they have linked Khan’s character to it.

Rajput pointed out that LSC could not even differentiate between Indian Army personnel and Pakistan’s soldiers or terrorist, whoever that character was, and picked him the safety.

In the movie, there was a scene where LSC and that Pakistani soldier or terrorist were having a conversation. This was the point when LSC realized that that person was from Pakistan, but he continued to have a conversation with him. He further offered to do business with the Pakistani personnel in the film.

In one scene, the Pakistani personnel asked LSC, “I offer namaz and pray, Laal, why don’t you do the same?” LSC replied, “My mother said all this Puja Paath is malaria. It causes riots.”

Punjab: Truck driver thrashed for allegedly not giving side to the convoy of AAP leader Kultar Singh Sandhwan

0

On 11th August 2022, a truck driver was manhandled by security personnel of AAP leader Kultar Singh Sandhwan who is the speaker of the Punjab state legislative assembly. The alleged reason for thrashing the truck driver was that he was not giving way for the leader’s convoy to pass. Kultar Singh Sandhwan has also admitted that one such accident has happened. However, he blamed the trucker for negligent driving on the highway. The incident took place near Daburji in Amritsar.

Videos of the incident were shared on Twitter in which a man can be seen being beaten by some security personnel from the leader’s convoy.

Sharing a video of the incident, a journalist for PTC News wrote, “Truck driver thrashed for not giving way to speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan’s convoy near Daburji, Amritsar. Another AAP leader abusing his power after Health Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra.”

Another journalist Nikhil Choudhary shared another video of the incident in which it can be seen that the driver was pulled out from the truck before being beaten by the security personnel.

Kultar Singh Sandhwan, on the other hand, admitted that one similar incident happened with his car while he was going to Amritsar. However, he blamed the truck driver’s rash driving for the altercation. Kultar Singh Sandhwan wrote in his tweet, “On my way to Amritsar Sahib, the car in which I was traveling was hit by a truck driver on one side. A million thanks to God that we were saved. My security personnel had an argument with the truck driver, I apologize for that. But it is very important to investigate such fatal negligence on the road.”

It is notable that Sandhwan is not the first AAP leader from Punjab to be in the news for his boorish behaviour. Recently, Vice-Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Dr Raj Bahadur, tendered his resignation to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann after he was humiliated by Punjab Health Minister Chetan Singh Jouramajra

Murtis broken after Taziya procession, JCB used to cut branches of holy Peepal tree: In Bareilly, Moin, Sakir, Raees and others arrested: Full details

Uttar Pradesh police have arrested 7 miscreants for vandalizing a Hindu temple in the Kanchanpur village of the Shergadh area in the Bareilly district on 11th August 2022. The arrested Muslims are accused of chopping larger branches of the holy Pipal tree near a temple located at the Brahmadev Sthal, allegedly to widen the path for Taziya procession during Muharram. During the process of cutting the branches, they allegedly vandalised the idol in the temple, threw away the donation box and damaged the temple by using a bulldozer.

On Tuesday, late in the night, the local Muslims of Shergadh deployed a JCB machine to cut the larger branches of the holy Pipal tree at the Brahmadev Sthal of the temple. After that, they also damaged the temple, vandalized the idol, and threw away the donation box. According to a report by Jagran, the Muslim miscreants were chopping the trees which could have allegedly caused an obstruction to the processions of Muharram. The Bareilly police have arrested 7 key accused in this case now. The names of the accused are Bundan, Shakkhan Khan, Moin Khan, Sakir Ali, Iqrar Ahmed, Chhote, and Raees Khan.

As the news spread, local Hindus started gathering on the spot in large numbers. The situation worsened and the police could not control the mob pressure. A case was then registered against the unknown accused. The forest laws and other relevant sections were imposed. The police also detained 29 suspected accused on the same day.

According to the villagers of Kanchanpur, the Muharram processions from several adjacent villages had already passed by peacefully. But at around 12, at midnight, some miscreants deployed a JCB machine to cut some larger branches of the Holy Pipal tree. The villagers have accused this is nothing but the execution of a preplanned conspiracy, because some of the people participating in the Muharram procession had said that they will make a way for themselves so that next time the processions will pass without any hurdles.

The aggrieved villagers informed the local police station. In order to control the situation, the local administration and police immediately ordered to repair the damages done to the temple structure, and thus, the temple was repaired. The arrested accused are being interrogated and the police will take necessary action in this case after the investigations.

It is notable that violent clashes erupted in the Bhojipura area of Bareilly on the occasion of Muharram. Amid the Muharram procession, the Islamists pelted stones at shops in the Majhoua Gangapur area of Bhojipura. The video of the incident went viral over social media. About half an hour after which the Police reached the spot and tried to pacify the matter.

Former England cricketer Monty Panesar joins the calls to boycott Laal Singh Chaddha, gets trolled by Islamists online

Aamir Khan’s much-awaited film Laal Singh Chaddha is already struggling at the box office amidst poor reviews and boycott calls from all over India, now it looks like the boycott calls have gone global as well. Former England international cricketer Monty Panesar has now asked everyone to boycott the film over its portrayal of the Indian Army and the Sikhs.

Comparing Aamir Khan’s portrayal of Laal Singh Chaddha to Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump, the left arm spinner wrote, “Forrest Gump fits in the US Army because the US was recruiting low IQ men to meet requirements for the Vietnam War. This movie is total disgrace to India Armed Forces Indian Army and Sikhs !! Disrespectful. Disgraceful.”

Monty Panesar further shared the number of honours won by Sikhs who have served in the Indian Army, and called Aamir Khan’s portrayal as disgraceful and disrespectful.

However, Monty’s opinion on the film didn’t go down well with everyone as several people, led by Islamists, descended upon his mentions to troll him for giving this boycott call.

For some reason, Monty Panesar was immediately linked to the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party of India by some of them for finding Aamir Khan’s portrayal disrespectful.

While there were others who began attacking him saying that Monty Panesar is only giving a boycott call for the film because he wants to work in India in future.

There was the inevitable questioning of Monty’s credentials as a bowler, even though he was not even talking about cricket.

Poor start for Laal Singh Chaddha at the box office

As of Wednesday morning, or T-1, just 30,000 tickets for the Aamir Khan-starring movie had been sold at the three national chains, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. In terms of all India sales, Laal Singh Chaddha sold approximately 57,000 tickets for the opening day.

In the national multiplex chains, Laal Singh Chaddha’s T-1 is almost 50% lower than Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and on par with Varun Dhawan’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo. Jug Jugg Jeeyo sold 57,000 tickets in the national chains, compared to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’s 1.05 lakh sales across all three chains on opening day.

Noted film critic Taran Adarsh Today, put out a strongly worded tweet wherein he reviewed the latest Aamir Khan release in one word. “Disappoints,” Tweeted Taran Aadarsh giving the movie a two-star rating.

“#AamirKhan’s comeback vehicle #LSC runs out of fuel midway… Lacks a captivating screenplay to enthrall you [second half goes downhill]… Has some terrific moments, but lacks fire in totality,” Tweeted the movie critic.

Monty Panesar is not the first one to call for a boycott of the film

Boycott calls against Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha have mired the promotion of the big-budget movie that is the official remake of Tom Hanks’ classic Forrest Gump.

Afghanistan: Taliban cleric Sheikh Rahimullah Haqqani killed in suicide attack, killer had concealed the bomb in an artificial leg

Sheikh Rahimullah Haqqani, a prominent Taliban cleric, was killed in a suicide attack at his Islamic seminary in Kabul. A staunch supporter of the Taliban, Haqqani was a critic of ISIS and its Afghan arm Islamic State Kohrasan Province (IS-K), and had survived multiple assassination attempts earlier.

Bilal Karimi, the deputy spokesperson of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, confirmed the death on Twitter. He tweeted that Sheikh Sahib Rahimullah Haqqani has reached the highest position of martyrdom in a brutal attack of the merciless enemy.

Afghan media house Tolo News added that the cleric was killed at his own seminary in Kabul.

According to a Reuters report, the attacker had hidden the explosives in a plastic artificial leg and detonated it entering Haqqani’s private office at his seminary. The attacker had lost his leg earlier and was using a prosthetic leg, which he used to conceal the bomb to carry out the suicide attack.

Taliban officials said that they are investigating the case to find out who the attacker was and who had brought him to the important place like the personal office of the cleric. “It’s a very huge loss for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan,” said the senior official of the interior ministry.

Haqqani had survived two previous attacks in Pakistan, including a large blast in Peshawar in 2020. That attack was carried out by the Islamic State and at least seven people were killed in it.

According to BBC, Sheikh Rahimullah Haqqani was a supporter of female education, and it is suspected that the attack was carried out by IS-K. He had previously issued a fatwa in support of female education, which have become a contentious issue in Afghanistan after the Taliban captured the country in 2021.
