Mizoram Police seizes crystal meth and heroin worth over 350 crores, how these drugs regularly come to India from Myanmar

0

In one of the biggest drug hauls in the Indian state of Mizoram, police have seized crystal methamphetamine and heroin worth around Rs 350 crore and arrested one person, a senior officer said on Sunday, 1st August.

Acting on a tip-off, a team comprising personnel of the Criminal Investigation Department (Special Branch) and the Special Narcotic police station in Aizawl conducted an operation near the state capital.

After a thorough search, officials recovered 20.304 kg of crystal meth, valued at approximately Rs 300 crore, and 1.652 kg of heroin in 128 soap cases, valued at approximately Rs 49.56 lakh. These drugs were concealed in a hidden compartment within a car. The driver, 45-year-old B Lalthazuala of Republic Mual Veng, Aizawl, was arrested and charged under several sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. Investigations are in progress.

This is not the first incident. Within a few weeks, another such big drug haul was seized in Zokhawthar village on 10th July, 2025. The local police had carried out a foot march in the region on the basis of a reliable tip and seized an abandoned green nylon bag near Kudamsen Kai. A 20-year-old Myanmar man, Lalnuntluanga, who now lives in Zokhawthar, was arrested near the location. He admitted to having smuggled the consignment from Khawmawi, Myanmar.

Within the sack, police seized 20 bricks of heroin, each carefully wrapped in clear polythene and sealed with yellow sticky tape, brown paper, and aluminium foil. Each of the bricks had the stamp of “DOUBLE UOGLOBE BRAND,” which historically represents ultra-pure (99.9%) heroin in the Asia-Pacific market. The aggregate weight of the recovered heroin was 7.422 kilograms, valued at over Rs 2.22 crore in the streets.

After his confession, four individuals were arrested, namely three Zokhawthar residents and one from Aizawl. The operation was the biggest-ever heroin seizure by Mizoram Police in terms of purity and amount. A case has been registered formally under the NDPS Act as well as the Foreigners Act.

Meth tablets worth over 9 crores seized by DRI

Adding to this increasing alarm, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) confiscated 9.72 kg of methamphetamine tablets from a Mahindra XUV500 on 30th May, 2025. The seizure was made near Seling on the Aizawl-Champhai road (NH-6). The drug was concealed in an ingenious cavity at the back of the rear seat of the vehicle.

The tablets are valued at Rs 9.72 crore in the global market. One individual was apprehended on the spot. During investigations, it was found that the consignment was smuggled into Mizoram from Myanmar through the Zokhawthar border. Since January 2025, DRI has seized more than Rs 72 crore worth of meth and heroin from Mizoram and made seven arrests about these seizures.

Myanmar: The primary portal to India’s drug trafficking route

These instances highlight a more expansive, more concerning trend. Myanmar has turned into a leading gateway for drug smuggling into northeast India. Mizoram, which also shares an open 500 km-long border with Myanmar, is now a key path for smuggling yaba tablets (methamphetamine), heroin, and other synthetic drugs.

According to a report by The Economic Times, some NGOs in Mizoram have expressed alarm at the increasing control of drug syndicates that move drugs through the Myanmar border.

Drugs recovered in two months of 2020 were worth more than USD 136,000. Security experts noted that the Shan state in Myanmar, part of the notorious Golden Triangle (where the borders of Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand converge), contains so-called makeshift labs churning out billions of meth tablets every year.

India has also seen a remarkable spike in amphetamine-type stimulant (ATS) seizures, 431 kg in 2018 to more than 2.2 tons in 2019, as per a report by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

Balasore student suicide: Odisha Crime Branch arrests two male students on the suspicion of instigating the victim to take her own life

0

In the ongoing investigation into the Balasore student self-immolation case, the Odisha Crime Branch has arrested two male students late on Sunday (3rd August) on suspicion of instigating the victim to commit suicide. The arrestees, identified as Subhra Sambit Nayak and Jyoti Prakash Biswal, were produced before the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court in Balasore, where they were denied bail.

Consequently, the two accused were remanded to 15-day judicial custody. The students have been arrested on charges relating to criminal conspiracy and abetment for suicide.

As per reports, the Crime Branch has concrete evidence linking the students to the circumstances leading up to the girl’s death. The evidence include digital evidence and eyewitness accounts combined with forensic analysis.

Notably, one of the students, Jyoti Prakash, sustained injuries while attempting to save the girl after she set herself on fire. He was admitted to SCB Medical College, Cuttack, for treatment and was later discharged. However, the investigators were suspicious of his role and believed that his attempt to rescue the girl might have been a cover to avoid suspicion. The other guy is Subhra Sambit Nayak. The number of arrests in the case has now reached four.

The victim set herself on fire due to inaction on her sexual harassment complaint

In an unfortunate incident, the 20-year-old victim, who was a student of B.Ed. at the Fakir Mohan (Autonomous) College, Balasore, set herself on fire on 12th July due to inaction on her sexual harassment complaint against her Head of Department (HoD), Sameer Sahoo. Before setting herself on fire, she had a meeting with the college principal, Dilip Kumar Ghosh, in his office.

The victim, named Soumyashri Bisi, suffered over 90% burns and was getting medical care at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. She succumbed to her burn injuries two days later. The victim had submitted a complaint of sexual harassment against Sahoo to the college principal and the police. She was disappointed over no significant action being taken against Sahoo. The college principal and the HoD were arrested by the police after the incident, and an investigation was launched.

The incident attracted widespread outrage and condemnation. Allegations of systemic harassment, administrative apathy and unsafe college environment emerged. A day after the victim filed a complaint of sexual harassment against the HoD, the majority of students from her class did not believe her and signed a letter in support of the HoD. Out of the total 100 students in her class, 71 supported Sahoo and called her complaint false.

In the two-page letter, the students praised Sahoo as a “great teacher who is known for his amiable ways.” They cast suspicion on the victim by stating in the letter that she levelled the allegations after she was debarred from the exam due to poor attendance. As per the FIR lodged by the victim’s cousin, the college forced her to withdraw her complaint and apologise to Samir Sahoo, just minutes before the incident.

A unit of the Crime Against Women (CAW) of the Odisha CID is investigating the HoD’s history of misconduct, the role of the college principal, and the reasons behind the smear campaign run against the victim through the letter.

Administrative inaction, combined with apathy and distrust shown by her peers, caused immense mental trauma to the victim, which seems to have pushed her to take the extreme step.

Uttar Pradesh: Imamuddin pretends to be Hindu, acts as temple priest, police arrest him and recover three Aadhar cards

A disturbing case has emerged from the Shani temple situated in the village of Manti Hasanpur within the Thana Bhawan region of Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh. The authorities have apprehended a man known as Baba Bengali also referred to as Balaknath after his identity was revealed to be 55-year-old Imamuddin Ansari, resident of Kalchini in the Alipurduar district of West Bengal.

He had been serving as a priest at the temple and falsely portraying himself as a Hindu sadhu for at least two years. The authorities initiated legal proceedings against him and presented him before the court where he was remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.

On 2nd August, the Thana Bhawan police received intelligence indicating that the accused is a Muslim and has been living in the temple with a fraudulent identity. They responded promptly and conducted a nighttime raid on the temple and apprehended him. Three Aadhar cards and a PAN card were found in his possession.

One of the Aadhaar cards bore the name “Bengali Nath Care of Kamalnath” with the address listed as Shakambhari Road Water Tank, Laxmi Narayan Mandir in Saharanpur. The other documents exposed Ansari’s true name and actual address. He also obtained land from the village head Rameshwar, under the pretense of constructing a temple. He even took donations from locals to fund its construction and subsequently started to stay inside the temple.

What do the authorities say

Superintendent of Police Ramsevak Gautam stated that charges have been filed against the perpetrator under various sections related to the creation of forged documents, fraud and the violation of religious sentiments. Additionally, the intelligence department is also involved in the inquiry to determine if this incident is part of a larger and orchestrated conspiracy or network.

Currently, Ansari is undergoing questioning and the validity of his documents is also under scrutiny. The police disclosed that Ansari migrated to North India from West Bengal approximately 15 years ago in pursuit of employment. Initially, he resided in Saharanpur and its surrounding districts where he encountered a Baba Kamalnath.

The former was reportedly brought to Manti Hasanpur by an individual from Saharanpur. The villagers believed that the offender was a Hindu saint and permitted him to reside in the Shani temple. He worshipped at the temple and diligently followed Hindu customs. Hence, no suspicion was raised against him.

Once the entire matter was unveiled, the authorities have become more alert and every detail is being monitored closely. The police have stated that further action will be on the basis of the inquiry’s outcomes.

According to media reports, a police team has been dispatched to West Bengal to confirm the address listed on Ansari’s Aadhaar card and collect more information regarding him. They will conduct a thorough inquiry to uncover the truth about him and also look into whether there are any criminal cases filed against him in that region.

Furthermore, the team will examine the circumstances surrounding the alteration of the name on the Aadhaar card including the people who were involved in this. They cops have not obtained any information in relation to him having a bank account. The police discovered that the culprit has not undergone any conversion.

Anger among local Hindu community

The development has sparked anger among the local community who demanded strict action. The police have urged the public to maintain peace and have guaranteed that the probe will be conducted in a transparent and unbiased manner. District Math Mandir Pramukh Bharat Bhushan remarked that this incident was shocking.

The Hindu outfits plan to initiate an investigative campaign throughout the district and monitor such elements closely to prevent similar occurrences in the future. They urged the police administration to treat this issue with the seriousness it deserves and implement strict actions.

Vishva Hindu Parishad’s District Service Pramukh Vinni Rana stated that the organization is fully equipped to deal with such issues and will enforce strict action against Ansari. Workers are being mobilized at the rural level to facilitate it.

VHP’s District Mahamantri Shalu Rana expressed that the organization will dedicate all its resources to ensure strict action is taken against the accused as any conspiracy against Sanatan Dharma will not be allowed to prevail. Additionally, its members and local villagers will also look into those who request for alms while posing as sadhus in rural areas.

Notably, a similar incident transpired at a Shiv temple in Dadri village of Meerut’s Daurala where an alleged Hindu priest was exposed to be Qasim from Bihar, last month.

The Kerala Story is ‘propaganda’, ‘sh*t show’: Editor of Filmfare whose awards are often called rigged, questions the integrity of National Film Awards jury

At the 71st National Film Awards, the movie The Kerala Story received the award for Best Cinematography and its director was conferred the Best Director award. The development has annoyed the usual suspects, who hate the fact that the movie portrays reality more than the movie itself.

The editor of the Filmfare magazine, Jitesh Pillai, took to Instagram to express his disappointment over the movie receiving the honour at the 71st National Awards. Calling The Kerala Story a “dangerously divisive film”, Pillai claimed that the National Awards jury has sent “seriously wrong signals” by giving the awards to the movie.

He claimed that the movie was not just a “vicious propaganda” but also portrays an “insidiously fake narrative”. “It has to be one of the worst movies ever made- it’s shoddily scripted, very poorly acted, horribly photographed and amateurishly directed,” Pillai said in his lengthy tirade.

He did not stop at spewing venom against the movie and went on to slam Ashutosh Gowariker, who is the chairman of the National Awards jury, for allowing the film to receive the award. “Is this the film chairman of the jury, Ashutosh Gowariker, with his claims of being an aesthete with a great understanding of cinema of sense and sensibility, has awarded it for best cinematography?” Pillai fumed. “P.S. Had to add RD Burman’s Sholay background score to take off the bitter taste of a shit show, ” he added.

Talks of “cinematic excellence” are a bit rich coming from the editor of the Filmfare magazine, as the credibility of Filmfare Awards has been questioned by several film actors, directors and celebrities over the years. Legendary actor Late Rishi Kapoor admitted in 2017 that he bought a film award for his movie ‘Bobby’ in 1974 for ₹30,000. He did not name the award, but it was quite obvious that he was referring to the Filmfare Awards, as he got the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for Bobby that year.

National Award-winning actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has been quite vocal about the fakeness of film awards, including the Filmfare Awards, which she has been boycotting since 2014. In 2022, the Filmfare Awards withdrew her nomination after she said that she was offered an award by Filmfare for her movie Thalaivi in exchange for a performance at the award ceremony. She accused the Filmfare of being involved in corrupt practices.

Besides, film stars like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Amir Khan are known for not attending and accepting these film awards due to the zero credibility of these awards.

The Kerala Story is based on the true story of a Hindu girl

The Kerala Story, released in 2023, sheds light on subjects like forced/lured religious conversions, ISIS brides, and love jihad. The movie was banned in West Bengal, and movie makers had to approach the High Court to get the movie released. Despite several attempts to ban the movie, it gained popularity. Starring actress Adah Sharma in the lead role, the movie portrays the reality of love jihad. It is based on the true story of a Hindu girl, Nimisha, who was brainwashed into marrying a Muslim and converting to Islam. She was taken to Syria to join ISIS.

Motor Vehicle Inspector owns 44 plots, forest officer has 115 plots, and a Project Director with 84 acres land: How vigilance raids in Odisha have uncovered staggering levels of corruption

A government employee in Odisha has landed in serious trouble after anti-corruption officials discovered that he had assets way beyond what he could afford on his salary. The man in question, Golap Chandra Hansdah, works as a Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) in Boudh district. When the Vigilance department raided his properties on Sunday, 3rd August, they uncovered shocking amounts of wealth, including 44 land plots, one kilogram of gold, and over ₹1.34 crore in bank deposits.

Properties across multiple locations

The raids were carried out at six locations in the state linked to Hansdah. Officials found one kg of gold, 2.126 kg of silver and bank deposits worth Rs 1.34 crore. A statement also revealed that he had spent ₹40 lakh on his daughter’s medical education.

Hansdah owned a two-storey house spread over 3,300 square feet in Baripada, Mayurbhanj district. Of the 44 plots in his name, 43 were around Baripada and one near Balasore town. The official sale deed value of these plots is about ₹1.49 crore, but the actual market value is suspected to be much higher. The Vigilance department is now assessing the true worth of these properties.

He also possessed 2.1 kg of silver and bank accounts with crores of cash. Hansdah, who joined government service in 1991, was promoted to Motor Vehicle Inspector in 2020 and currently draws a monthly salary of ₹1.08 lakh.

Many government officers in Odisha under scanner

Hansdah’s case may sound shocking, but it’s far from being the only one. Over the past few months, Odisha’s anti-corruption wing has uncovered a series of similar cases where government officers have been found living way beyond their means, owning large chunks of land, flats, and unaccounted wealth.

84 acres of land and multiple flats: The case of Dayanidhi Bagh

A high profile case was of Dayanidhi Bagh, a former Project Director of the Watershed department in Rayagada, who is now working as Joint Director in the Soil Conservation and Watershed Development office. When Vigilance officers searched his properties on 30th June, 2025, they were stunned to find that he had amassed 84 acres of land, the biggest land holding ever found by the Vigilance Department.

This included a 40-acre farmhouse with drip irrigation in Bijraguda and another 6-acre farmhouse in Phatakote. He also owned 27 acres of land elsewhere in Nabarangpur and 11 acres near Bhawanipatna. On top of this, three flats in Bhubaneswar and multiple buildings in Nabarangpur were traced back to him, along with a shopping complex and a new construction site.

The total worth of these properties runs into several crores. Officials also found gold, over ₹58 lakh in bank deposits, and even a four-wheeler registered in someone else’s name.

The long list of immovable properties does not end here. Three one-bedroom flats with an area of 1450 sq ft were traced from the officer at Gothapatana in Bhubaneswar, and one building was found at Housing Board Colony, a prime locality of the capital city.

Mr. Bagh is also constructing a building with an area of 3000 sq ft at Padalguda near Majhiguda Chhaka in Nabarangpur town, and he also has one shopping complex comprising five shops with an area of 1400 sq ft near Nabarangpur town.

Forest officer turned landlord with 115 Plots

In another jaw-dropping case, Odisha Forest Service officer Nityananda Nayak was found to have quietly acquired 115 land plots during his 33-year-long career. From protecting forests, Nayak seemed to have moved on to building a massive real estate empire.

His land buying spree started modestly, but picked up pace from 2007 onwards. During his posting in Khariar division, he acquired 64 plots. Then, between 2015 and 2022, he added 39 more, and another 10 after that, including two this year. Most of these plots are in Chhendipada area of Angul district, a region rich in coal, which hints at plans for big returns through land compensation.

He also built a four-storey building in Turanga, Angul, and many of the plots were found in the names of his wife and children, a common way to spread out ownership and avoid scrutiny. Vigilance officials now consider him one of the top offenders in the state’s list of corrupt officials.

105 plots and a market complex owned by Chief Construction Engineer

Another high-profile name is Pravas Kumar Pradhan, the Chief Construction Engineer of the Anandpur Barrage Project. Initially caught with 85 plots, officials later discovered 20 more in West Bengal’s Medinipur district, taking his total to 105 plots.

Pradhan had also built a five-storey building and owned a market complex, over ₹78 lakh in deposits, and nearly ₹12 lakh in cash. Gold worth around 335 grams was also recovered. Officials calculated that his assets were 245% more than his legal income.

How deep does the corruption go

When government officials on regular salaries manage to gather so much wealth, dozens of plots, multiple houses, gold, cash, shopping complexes, and vehicles, it raises serious questions about how deep corruption runs in the system. These cases are just the ones where officials got caught. One can only imagine how many more might have gone undetected, amassing unimaginable wealth without ever being questioned.

The list goes far beyond just 4 cases

In the last year alone, many other Odisha officials have been found to own huge amounts of land and disproportionate assets. Rama Chandra Mishra, Joint Commissioner of Excise in Bhubaneswar, was found to have ownership of 52 plots. Similarly, Pradeep Kumar Rath, Additional Chief Engineer of the Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC), had 50 plots belonging to him. He was booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

These tales present a disturbing picture of how some officials, with public service in their trust, have instead employed their offices to quietly construct private fiefdoms. And if these are just the ones that we are aware of, the real scale of the problem could be much larger.

Late gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari’s son Umar arrested for forging mother’s signature to reclaim seized property

Umar Ansari, younger son of the late gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, was arrested in Lucknow on Sunday, 3rd August. He has been accused of preparing forged documents for a property, which had been confiscated by the administration under Gangster Act.

According to Ghazipur SP Dr. Iraj Raja, “The property that was seized under the Gangster Act against Mukhtar Ansari was targeted in this fraud. To get the property released, Umar applied to court and misled the court by forging the signature of his mother, Afsha Ansari.”

Umar intended to secure illegal gains and submitted forged documents reportedly bearing the fake signatures of his mother, Afsa Ansari, in court. Afsa Ansari is currently absconding and carries a reward of Rs 50,000 on her head.

The case has been registered at the Mohammadabad Police Station in Ghazipur, and action is being taken under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Officials added that further legal steps are underway.

Mukhtar Ansari, the gangster turned politician

Umar’s father, Mukhtar Ansari, died on March 28, 2024, from a cardiac arrest while he was undergoing treatment at Banda Medical College Hospital in Uttar Pradesh.

In April 2023, he was convicted for the 2005 murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai and sentenced to 10 years in jail by an MP-MLA court. Just before his death, in March 2024, he was handed a life sentence for using fake documents to get an arms licence back in 1990.

Trouble for elder son Abbas Ansari as well

Umar’s older brother, Abbas Ansari, is also in legal trouble. He was a sitting MLA from the Mau Sadar seat but was disqualified from the seat in June 2024 after being held guilty in a case of hate speech. A special MP-MLA court had sentenced him to two years of imprisonment for threatening government officials while addressing an election rally in March 2022. Abbas had threatened government officials that he would “settle scores” with them post-elections once his alliance comes to power.

Madhya Pradesh: Sheikh Raees slits throat of Hindu woman, stabs her multiple times for refusing to convert to Islam

In a case of Love Jihad in the Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh, a Hindu woman was brutally killed on Friday (1st August) by a Muslim man for refusing to convert to Islam and perform Nikah with him.

A 35-year-old Bhagyashree Namdev Dhanuk was murdered inside her home in Navara by 42-year-old Sheikh Raees, who mercilessly slit her throat and stabbed her multiple times. The accused left her profusely bleeding on the spot. However, he was arrested by the police hours later.

The victim’s sister, Subhadra Bai, said that the accused used to physically assault her frequently and force her to convert to Islam and marry him. “Raees used to grab her hair, beat her, harass her… He had been pressuring her for marriage and religious conversion for a long time. My sister refused, so he entered the house at night and slit her throat,” Subhadra said.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police SP Burhanpur Antar Singh Kanesh, a case has been registered against the accused under the provisions of the BNS and the SC ST Act. Two constables were ordered line attendance in the case. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and the accused were in a relationship. Both the victim and the accused were married and had separated from their respective spouses.

Victim’s family staged protest and demanded justice

The incident sparked outrage among the Hindu community, leading to protests and demands for strict action against the accused. The victim’s family and members of the Hindu community staged protests by placing the dead body of the victim on the road. The authorities have marked illegal properties of the accused, reportedly built on encroached land. SDM Bhagirath Vakhala said, “The accused has committed encroachments and illegal activities. The administration has taken cognisance.”

Burhanpur MLA Archana Chitnis met the family of the victim on Sunday (3rd August) and assured all possible assistance in the case. She talked to the police and inquired about the action being taken in the case. Nepanagar MLA Manju Dadu said that she mentioned the incident to the Chief Minister. She said that the Chief Minister talked to the Superintendent of Police and took stock of the situation. Khandwa BJP MP Dhyaneshwar Patil said that he also spoke to the Chief Minister regarding the incident and that all possible help would be provided to the family of the victim.

Infighting in Congress: Telangana CM lashes out at nepotism, says dynasty politics can’t make you a leader after his row with party’s top leadership over “padyatra”

On 3rd August, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in an interview with Shekhar Gupta of “ThePrint” launched an aggressive attack on dynasty politics during an “Off the Cuff” session in Hyderabad. He highlighted that being elected as a public representative alone does not suffice to establish oneself as a leader of the masses.

He declared, “There is a distinction between an elected representative and a leader. Anyone can become an elected representative, whether through luck, chance, fluke or even their lineage. Furthermore, if an individual passes away, their son, spouse, or other family members may also be elected under our democratic system. Thus, one can be an elected representative due to familial connections and dynastic ties.”

The chief minister further conveyed, “Nevertheless, this does not qualify an individual as a leader as specific qualities are required for that role. A leader must lead and therefore possess leadership attributes, which include fostering development, promoting welfare, and understanding philosophy and policies.”

Reddy even announced that he would not submit to the orders of the high command. Additionally, he stressed that his decisions are completely autonomous and free from any intervention from Congress top brass. The chief minister outlined. “I am dil ka raja (I follow my heart). None can make me work forcefully. I do not fear individuals but fear the system and the society.”

Notably, the statement was made in the midst of Reddy’s heated controversy with Meenakshi Natarajan, the in-charge of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Telangana. He was furious that the body had decided on her “padayatra” without having any discussion with him which led to the confrontation. He asserted that AICC could not denigrate or undermine him. The party program had to be rescheduled as a result of the row.

Moreover, the chief minister stood firm in his statement about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whom he called his elder brother despite the Congress leadership’s frustration. He defended it on the basis of culture and added that he was showing the prime minister respect because he was older and had more stature as well as experience. “There is nothing much to read into it politically. If he considers me his ‘Chote bhai’ (younger brother), it is good for me and the state,” Reddy pointed out.

Interestingly, the remarks including the scathing comments in relation to the nepotism in politics have emerged at a time when the friction between the chief minister and the Congress high command has been increasing.

Thousands of workers at Boeing defence factories, where F-15s are made, are on strike: Here is how Boeing has been facing constant turbulence

The troubles of American aerospace giant Boeing do not seem to end anytime soon. After nearly three decades, the company’s defence manufacturing arm is set to face a workers’ strike. It was in 1996, when the workers at Boeing defence did a walkout and work was halted for nearly three months.

As per reports, the union members at operations in Missouri and Illinois voted against the Boeing’s latest offer over pay, work schedules and pensions.

Notably, the workers involved in the strike build F-15 fighter jets, the T-7 training jet, missiles and munitions and other military aircraft. In addition, they also manufacture parts for Boeing’s 777X commercial jets.

Over 3,200 machinists are set to walk off the job around midnight on 4th August after members voted down a deal that would’ve raised wages by 20% and boosted retirement contributions.

In a statement, Dan Gillian, the vice president of Boeing’s Air Dominance unit, said, “We’re disappointed our employees rejected an offer that featured 40% average wage growth.”

The workers strike is being led by a branch of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) at Boeing’s defence hub in St. Louis.

Tom Boelling, a senior official at the IAM union said, “IAM District 837 members have spoken loud and clear, they deserve a contract that reflects their skill, dedication, and the critical role they play in our nation’s defence.”

The workers’ strike will increase financial pressure on Boeing’s defence and space division. Notably, Boeing’s defence and space segment generates about 30% of the company’s revenue as of the second quarter.

Lawsuits, mid-air technical issues and the deadly Air India 787-8 Dreamliner crash: Boeing troubles continue to mount

Boeing has been making headlines this year for all the wrong reasons. Recently, flight attendants from Alaska Airlines have sued Boeing for the mid-air mishap in January 2024, in which a cabin panel of a Boeing 737 Max 9 plane blew out, causing injuries.

The flight attendants are suing Boeing for physical and psychological harm caused by the incident. They are also seeking compensation for past and future financial loss that they may have to incur due to the incident. In separate lawsuits against Boeing, the flight attendants have stated that they acted to the best of their abilities, utilising their training and put the lives of passengers ahead of their own.

On 5th January 2024, a window along with part of the fuselage of a Boeing 737 MAX-9 operated by Alaska Airlines fell off (Blowout as reported widely) when the flight reached an altitude of 16,000 feet. The incident occurred on flight 1282 between Portland and Ontario (in California).

On 29th July 2025, a United Airlines flight from Washington DC to Munich, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner they were travelling on suffered an engine failure shortly after takeoff. The flight was at an altitude of just 5000 feet when the crew had to declare ‘MayDay’ due to the engine failure and return to the Dulles Airport in Washington.

The engine failure prompted the flight crew to issue an emergency call and coordinate closely with air traffic controllers to ensure a safe return. The aircraft was placed in a holding pattern northwest of Washington to safely dump fuel and manage its weight for landing. The the aircraft remained air-bound for 2 hours and 38 minutes in a holding pattern to safely dump fuel before landing back at the Washington Dulles Airport.

On 26th July, an American Airlines flight at Denver International Airport was evacuated afternoon after a landing gear issue led to fire was indicated on takeoff. The incident occurred on Flight 3023, bound for Miami. There were six crew members and 173 passengers aboard. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported the Boeing 737 MAX 8 indicated a suspected landing gear problem at around 2:45 p.m.

On 12th June 2025, Air India plane took off from Ahmedabad at 1:40 pm. It crashed within 1 minute and more than 250 people died in this accident. The crashed flight was Air India’s 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, manufactured by Boeing. While a significant section of the American legacy media tried to put the deadly crash’s blame on the Indian pilots, questions are being raised over technical issues that may have led to the crash.

Lobbying, coverups and accidents: Boeing has mastered the art of dodging accountability

The Air India crash in June this year, inflicted a significant blow to not only Boeing’s reputation, but also it’s stocks. In 2024 also, the company struggled with a safety crisis, quality control problems and a disastrous seven-week strike by the workers that cost it around $1 billion each month.

Boeing continues to cope with the fallout from two fatal crashes involving its 737 Max aircraft in 2018 and 2019, which claimed 346 lives. Earlier this year, the firm and the Department of Justice came to an agreement that would exempt it from criminal liability for the crashes.

A report by the US stock market regulator SEC says that Boeing has spent more than $200 million (₹1700 crore+) on lobbying from 2010-2022. $26 million (₹225 crore) has been spent in 2021 and 2022 alone. A report by the SEC itself shows that Boeing has spent more than $320 million (₹2700 crore) on lobbying since 1998. The SEC says that Boeing ranks 9th in terms of spending on lobbying within the US.

Boeing is at number 9 in this arena, while in terms of market cap, it is at number 70-80 in America. This simply means that Boeing spends much more than its status on lobbying. Boeing gives money to both parties in America, i.e. Democrats and Republicans, to bend the rules according to its wishes.

Boeing’s history of controversies lends credence to suspicions of a coordinated blame-shifting effort. The US-based company faced intense scrutiny after the 2018 Indonesian Lion Air Flight 610 and 2019 Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 involving the Boeing 737 Max, which killed hundreds of people. These deadly crashes were linked to flaws in the Manoeuvring Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS) and other reasons.

It was revealed that in both accidents, MCAS continued to push the plane down while the pilots kept trying to fly it. The pilots failed in this, and this faulty system brought the plane down. When the pressure increased after the investigation of both accidents, Boeing admitted that it had hidden this information. Boeing admitted that it had not told the pilots about this new system. OpIndia reported in detail how Boeing bends the US laws to its whims and exploits loopholes to keep its profits soaring even at the cost of human lives. Boeing’s lobbying isn’t confined to the commercial sector.

The Boeing 737-800 operated by China Eastern Airlines crashed and caught fire in Guangxi province when it was en route from Kunming to Guangzhou in March 2022. President Xi Jinping ordered a swift investigation to find out the reason behind the incident, which stunned the country. Afterwards, every 737-800 operated by China Eastern Airlines was grounded.

According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), Beijing disagreed with Boeing’s initial explanation of pilot error and blamed the crashes on a malfunctioning Manoeuvring Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS) design.

A Jeju Air flight 7C2216 belly-landed and went off the end of the runway at Muan International Airport in December 2024, smashing into a wall and exploding. Four of the six crew members and all 175 passengers on board were killed, while two crew members were hauled out unharmed. South Korean authorities then declared that they would conduct an urgent safety check on every Boeing 737-800 aircraft operated by the country’s airlines.

Last November, a cargo plane crashed close to Vilnius airport in Lithuania, resulting in at least one fatality and three injuries. During its final approach for landing, the Spanish cargo airline Swiftair, operating a Boeing 737 for DHL (Dalsey, Hillblom and Lynn), crashed close to a residence.

From drugs to Instagram to even online games like Ludo: How Islamists are coming up with new mediums every day to trap Hindu girls for conversion

News of love jihad and Islamic conversions have now become a daily occurrence in India. There was a time when people had to face criticism for pointing out this endemic, but now the victims and their stories coming forward every day as a testimony to the fact that these are not just allegations. This is happening every day in India.

‘Progressing’ with time, Islamists are finding new tricks every day to carry out these conversions. Efforts are being made to convert Hindu girls to Islam by using every available medium to trap them. Several reports appear in the media that modern technology is being used to carry out these conversions.

Today, through this article, we will discuss with you every method through which Islamists are moving ahead towards their goal of converting as many Hindu girls as possible. This article is based on the rampant conversion activities that have been widely reported, but someone had to link them all, and think about the consequences of them all.

Getting victims addicted to drugs and then convert them

The most worrying thing for Hindus is that these Jihadi conversion agents are making Hindu girls addicted to drugs to first ruin them and then push them towards conversion. The cases from Bhopal, Bijnor, Indore, Nainital are proof of this.

  • First of all, let us talk about the Bhopal case in Madhya Pradesh. This case came to light last month when drug gang operators Yasin Machli and Shahwar Machli were arrested. Investigations revealed that their aim was not just to smuggle drugs but their target was Hindu girls. These people used to physically exploit Hindu girls by giving them MD drug and also forced them to then sell the drug. Their aim was to ruin the lives of the girls with drugs and then convert them after they were left with no other option.
  • A similar Muslim gang was busted from Bhopal-Indore. The mastermind of the gang was Farhan. This gang had targeted Hindu girls studying in private colleges. The victims were silent for a long time, but later when the case came to light, one by one many girls came forward, who told how they were raped after giving them drugs and then they were pressured to convert.
  • In Indore, Zeeshan Khan had trapped a Hindu girl by posing as ‘Abhishek Thakur’. To trap the girl, he made her addicted to drugs, then sexually exploited her and started pressuring her to convert by blackmailing her.
  • A similar case was also reported from Nainital in July this year. There a 30-year-old Muslim youth had trapped an 11th standard Hindu girl in a love trap. The girl’s family was so helpless that they had to take help of Hindu organizations. The family pleaded that their daughter is given drugs, and she has been made an addict. The family members have become helpless because the daughter has come out against the family.
  • In another case from Indore, Sultan Roshan Nagori had targeted Hindu girls going to coaching centers. The whole truth was revealed when a Brahmin girl came forward with a complaint. The girl shared that Sultan had not only physically exploited her, but was also pressuring her to convert by threatening to make her obscene photos and videos viral. The victim said that Sultan also gave her drugs. In this case, the victim had also revealed the conversion cell active through call centers. She said that Muslim boys were employed there to trap Hindu girls. Later those girls were made addicted to drugs and were physically exploited.
  • A case of disappearance of a Hindu girl from Mangaluru, Karnataka was also reported in 2024. When investigated, it was found that Puttur’s drug smuggler Shahrukh had trapped her in his net and he used to visit her in her PG.

The above news are just a few examples of how Hindu girls are being pushed towards conversion by making them addicted to drugs. During this, their obscene pictures and videos are taken so that they are unable to back out of conversion even if they want to and they keep sinking in this quagmire. Some are made addicted to drugs and brainwashed so much that they do not believe anything other than Islam to be true.

Even an actress got trapped in the clutches of drugs and Islamic conversion

The surprising thing is that not only regular Hindu girls fall prey to the clutches of drugs and conversion, but big celebrities also get trapped in it. In the year 2020, there was news of a Kannada actress being jailed in a drug case. Later it was revealed that she was being taught about Islam for 10 years. After this case, there was a lot of demand on social media that now along with love jihad, the drug angle should also be investigated to see if girls are being brainwashed by making them addicted to drugs to trap them!

Hindu girls are becoming victims of narcotic jihad: Kerala Bishop warned

Bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangat of Syro Malabar Church Pala Diocese in Kottayam, Kerala, had also warned about this matter. Expressing concern over the conversion of Catholic and Hindu girls in Kerala, he had said that the girls are falling prey to narcotic jihad. He had said that there is a special group in Kerala which is making Catholic and Hindu youths addicted to drugs and other intoxicants in various areas. The aim of such people is to corrupt other religions. Love jihad and narcotics jihad are two things which should be paid attention to, he had said.

We are not denying the fact that Hindu names do not appear in the news in crimes like drug trafficking, but we can definitely say that in those news, the intention of the smugglers to trap girls of a particular class has not come to light. Whereas in the above cases we mentioned, the intention is very clear. Seeing these, it would not be an exaggeration to say that making girls addicted to drugs and then leading them to conversion can be a new pattern.

On one side, Hindu families are busy blaming the modern times for their children’s addiction to drugs and on the other side, Islamic fundamentalists are taking advantage of this laxity and moving ahead towards their goal of Ghazwa-e-Hind.

If you read the news carefully, you will find that not a single medium is being left unused as a weapon for conversion. Things are not limited drugs and brainwashing them by making them addicted. This love jihad effort has spread from all social media platforms to even online gaming. Places like cafes and clubs, which Hindu youth consider going as places of relaxation and enjoyment are also considered by Islamic fundamentalists as suitable places to fulfill their purpose…

New mediums and weapons of Love Jihad

A decade back, when people started raising its voice against love jihad, the left wing used to run the narrative that it is a term coined by extremist Hindus who only want to spread Islamophobia. They claimed that it has nothing to do with reality. However, today if you pick up a newspaper, you will see that not a single day goes by when the story of a Hindu victim does not make news in the media. Sometimes the girls stay alive to tell about the atrocities committed against her and sometimes only their dead bodies or pieces of their bodies are found.

  • Do you remember the Shraddha Walker murder case of Delhi that came to light in the year 2023? Shraddha, trapped in Aftab’s trap, had even left her parents and started a live-in relationship with him. What happened… 35 pieces, which were thrown in forest areas of Delhi so that animals could tear them apart. Investigation also revealed that Aftab had killed Shraddha and cut her, then kept the body parts in the fridge in the house and gradually threw them in different places.
  • Then there is Priya-Kashish murder case of Meerut. Priya and her daughter Kashish were murdered in the year 2020. The murderer was none other than Shamshad who met Priya as ‘Amit Gurjar’. When Shamshad’s secret was revealed, Priya asked questions, fights increased and what happened in the end… murder of Priya and Kashish. After killing Priya, Shamshad buried her in a pit dug in the bedroom of the house and when the mystery was solved after three months, only the skeletons of mother and daughter were found there.
  • If you remember the case of Ghaziabad’s Pinky Gupta, you will know how a Hindu girl, a victim of love jihad, got trapped in the clutches of Shakib. When Shakib met her, he told Pinky his name was Bunny and later it was revealed that he was a married man Shakib. Upset with the entire situation, she found herself in, Pinky hanged herself. All this happened to her when she was ready to convert to Islam after falling in love with Shakib.

These famous cases of love jihad are neither the first nor the last. If there was no conspiracy, so many cases would not have come to light one after the other. You will be surprised to know that in the year 2023, OpIndia had reported 153 news related to love jihad and in 2022, this list was 150+ as well. Years have changed, but the news of love jihad and conversion has not stopped coming. If you analyze the news, you will know that every time the pattern of trapping Hindu girls is the same.

Be it Delhi or Dehradun, Uttar Pradesh or Rajasthan, for love jihad, girls are first trapped by giving false names or identities. The Hindu girls are befriended using fake names and then physical relations are made with them. Their obscene videos are recorded in the name of love and then they are blackmailed and asked to convert to Islam. Some girls or women understand what is happening to them, some open their eyes after being ruined and some… some do not even get a chance to reform or fight because they have already been killed.

How modus operandi of love jihad has changed with times

Earlier Islamic fundamentalists had limited means to trap Hindu girls. Their targets were girls living next to their houses, girls studying in schools, girls going to college or coaching. However, now as social media has expanded, love jihadis have expanded their target area. Through Instagram and Facebook, they are trapping Hindu girls from different states because social media has made their work even easier. On social media, first they go to the DM of the girls, talk sweetly to them and coax them, trap them in a love trap and then brainwash them and bring them to the brink of conversion.

Instagram, Facebook and Love Jihad

When you read news of love jihad in newspapers or news channels today, you will find a common angle in most of the cases – friendship through Instagram-Facebook. Like drug addiction, Islamic fundamentalists are also taking advantage of the social media addiction of today’s youth. How? Let’s understand.

Actually, Instagram and Facebook are also used to trap Hindu girls because there the identity is not revealed with proof. Create an ID, put an edited DP, write a fake name and a new identity is created. Whatever name you write on these platforms, the world believes it to be true. And, Islamic fundamentalists are taking advantage of this.

First, they put such pictures on social media that it is easy to mislead Hindu girls. They show themselves to be secular. There is kalawa on the hand, a picture of a temple in the profile. After this, Hindu girls are messaged, asked to meet, trapped in a love trap, called to a hotel or room. Once physical relations are made with them, their photos and videos are taken and then the real work of blackmailing begins.

After all this, the girl is left with only two options, either she gets defamed or she converts.

How dangerous is befriending people on social media

  • In the year 2023, a case of brutal murder of a girl from Shahbad Dairy in Delhi came to light. The accused was her friend Mohammad Sahil, who killed the girl by hitting her with a stone in the middle of the street. Later Sahil was arrested. When the investigation took place, it was found that both of them had talked on Instagram and Sahil was after the girl since then.
  • In 2025, in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Meerut, Mubassir befriended a Hindu girl on Instagram by posing as Sachin. After that he also married her. When the girl became pregnant, he started pressuring her to convert. Later it came to light that this wasn’t the first time Mubassir targeted a girl, he had trapped many girls in this way and got them converted.
  • A similar case had also come to light from Mainpuri in UP. One day a 17-year-old girl suddenly disappeared from her home. Troubled by this, the family members complained to the police. When the investigation was done, it was found that she used to talk to a Muslim boy on Instagram. The boy’s name was Abdullah, and he was the one who kidnapped her. After this, the police started looking for Abdullah and the girl.

When you read about the plight of Hindu girls who have been duped through Instagram and Facebook, you will feel both pity and anger for them. You will not be able to understand how these young girls are getting trapped by conversion agents. However, at the time when these thoughts will be going on in your mind, at the same time, some ‘Abdullah’ will be targeting another Hindu girl living near you by posing as Amit.

It may be difficult for us to understand how girls get trapped in the clutches of Jihadis after so many cases are reported in the news, but if you look carefully, you will understand that this is an organised network. It is difficult for a 15-16 year old girl to understand the conspiracy behind such a network. She only sees the beautiful pictures that the boy has posted on his profile, she likes the sweet things he has said in DMs. Gradually, a girl brought up in a Hindu household starts liking burqa-hijab and things related to temple and God bother her. After a few days, a secular inclination is seen in her posts and a time comes when she clearly considers only propagating the things of Islam as her objective.

The trend of promoting Islam through online gaming

Islamic fundamentalists know very well that in today’s race to become modern, Hindu families are lagging behind in teaching their children the Dharmic way. They take advantage of this fault of Hindu families to teach and explain the teachings of their religion to girls and move forward towards their goal. The worrying thing for Hindus is that these fundamentalists have made their presence felt on every medium to trap their daughters. You think that children are not using social media, they are only playing games on the phone and this will save them from the jihadi mentality, then you are mistaken.

Online gaming has also become a medium for conversion for jihadis. On one hand, the craze of online gaming is increasing among today’s youth and it is affecting their career and education, on the other hand, it is a high-tech medium for Islamic fundamentalists to do love jihad and conversion. Like social media, here too the fundamentalists come in contact with Hindu girls by changing their names. While playing games, they befriend them and then the process of brainwashing begins. The surprising thing is that Hindu youth are trapped to such an extent that without even knowing the other person, the victim agrees to change his religion.

An example of conversion through online gaming

Recently, Operation Kalanemi was started to catch conversion gangs. Under this operation, the police busted a gang that used high technology to brainwash youths and then convert them. Investigation revealed that this gang has connections not only with Pakistan but also with Dubai. Islamic fundamentalists sitting abroad have been employed to woo Hindu girls, who asked them to become Muslims after luring them.

The matter was revealed when two girls came and filed a complaint in this regard and from what they told, it was revealed that the Islamic gang first trapped the girls through online games and after that they were taught Quran directly from Pakistan. Later, they were called to Delhi and their Aadhar card was changed and then they were married and converted.

The police said that the girl who filed the complaint in this regard had been converted and her name was changed to Sumaiya. She was in touch with Muslim boys from Pakistan and Egypt. They used to repeatedly ask her to convert and used to give various kinds of temptations. These boys had also deposited a lot of money in Sumaiya’s account. She was also constantly being taught Arabic. The police said that a whole team was working to brainwash a girl and convert her.

The Dehradun police made another important disclosure here that this gang used converted Muslims to trap girls. In Sumaiya’s case, Abdul Rehman was the main perpetrator who used to tell her how his life changed after becoming a Muslim.

The girl got trapped in this trap and when she came back to her senses, she went to the police with a complaint. The girl then requested the Hindus of the country to educate their children about Hinduism so that they stay connected with their roots.

In the year 2024, a similar case came out from Kutch in Gujarat. A minor girl living in Mandvi was trapped by Ziyad through online gaming. The victim’s family said that Ziyad met their daughter on an online gaming platform using the name Jigar. Later both of them talked. Both met and Ziyad had a relationship with her.

During this time, he took obscene photos of the girl. When the girl talked about marriage, he kept postponing it and blackmailed the victim that he would marry her only if she converted to Islam. The girl did not know that this Jigar, whom she met in the world of gaming, was Ziyad aka Sameer Sheikh. When the girl started keeping her distance, Ziyad started threatening her that he would make her nude photos viral.

Next case is from Jabalpur

Priya (name changed), a minor girl, started playing online games with a girl of her age named Pooja. At that time, Priya did not know where Pooja lived and what she did. She just thought that since she was of the same age, they could play together. While playing the game, the friendship between the two developed and it was decided that they should meet. When Priya reached to meet the girl whom she considered her friend, a boy was standing in front of her.

The boy befriended her and took her to Mumbai after trapping her. Later the boy’s name was revealed to be Tanveer. After the complaint, the police investigated and found that Tanveer used to trap minor girls through online gaming.

Similarly, Salman, who sells eggs in Bihar, trapped a Hindu girl living in Madhya Pradesh in a love trap while playing PUBG. He also used a Hindu name to introduce himself. Slowly, the girl fell so madly in love that she left her home and came to Madhubani where Salman told her his real identity. Then he married her by forcibly making her read Kalma.

Modern Hindu families are becoming targets of Islamic fundamentalists

Hindus today have reached such a situation today that they are under a lot of social pressure to be ‘modern’ and appear ‘secular’. Perhaps this is the reason why they are not paying as much attention to their children’s activities. We all know what the result is. Be it drug addiction, trapping girls on Instagram or brainwashing through online gaming, Islamic fundamentalists are able to target them easily.

However, it is their misconception that no one is able to decode their tactics and new patterns. Hindus are gradually becoming aware and Hindu organizations are active in this regard. The misdeeds of Jihadis are being exposed everywhere.

Sometimes in hotel rooms, sometimes elsewhere Hindu girls are given drugs and then gang-raped, or sometimes they are coaxed into having physical relations with them and their videos and photos are recorded. These cases are now increasingly coming to light.

Cafes and clubs- Modern centers of love jihad

By luring girls with the promise of love, everything from their religion to their dignity is snatched away, and this has been happening more openly since Islamic fundamentalists started getting places to do all this. These places include hotels, cafes and clubs. Hindu girls are brought here after befriending them on social media, they are drugged and then sexually exploited.

Many such cafes have been exposed from Moradabad to Dehradun, which were conducting love jihad under the guise of business. When Hindu organizations came to know about them, news related to them came out in the media and it came to light how Muslim youths bring Hindu girls there and exploit them. Some such cafes were also found where small cabins are created and curtains are put up. Then that space is easily made available to such people for 400-500 rupees.

  • Recently, the ‘7th Heaven Cafe’ running in Dehradun’s Vikas Mall became very infamous for such an incident. An attempt of love jihad was being made with a Hindu girl there. The girl became so helpless that she had to ask for help from Bajrang Dal in this matter and later this matter came to light.
  • Similarly, in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, Muslim youths trapped Hindu girls in a case of blackmail and sexual exploitation. The incident is of March 2024. The victim said that she had gone to the cafe with her friend. There she was raped after giving her intoxicants in the name of coffee, then the accused took her obscene photos, made videos and later blackmailed her. After this, his accomplices also exploited the girl. A total of 8 arrests were made in this case – these included Ashraf Ali, Sanveer Mohammad, Shahrukh Khan, Soybanur, Faizan, Soheb, Khalid and Aamir.
  • Similarly, a case related to ‘cafe jihad’ also came to light from Beawar. This incident which came to light in February 2025 reminded us of the Ajmer incident. In this case, Muslim gangs used to take Hindu girls to cafes and sexually exploit them. Then, attempts were made to convert them by luring and tricking them.
  • Then, Bhopal’s cafe-club ‘Club-90’ also made headlines due to love jihad. It was reported that Hindu girl students were raped there and their videos were recorded and then they were blackmailed. When this matter came to the notice of the administration, it sprung into action. The cafe was also found to be running illegally on government land. The administration immediately cancelled its lease and bulldozed it.

The strange thing is that despite all the news about such activities happening in cafes, hotels and clubs, action is taken against them only when a Hindu organization raises its voice.

Similarity between grooming gangs in Britain and Love Jihad gangs in India

It is worth noting that different methods are being adopted to trap Hindu girls in India. On one side there are Islamic fundamentalists whose aim is to make India an Islamic country by 2047, and on the other side there are Hindus who want to leave the British behind in becoming modern. The same British who themselves could not save their daughters from this fanatic mentality.

Yes! Grooming gangs were highly active in Britain between 1980 and 2011. Most of the members of this gang were of Pakistani origin for whom white girls were just use and throw items. They used to trap minor innocent girls in their net and then rape them by giving them drugs and get others to rape them as well. The influence of these gangs ensured that if any victim went to complain, the police used to start blaming the victim. Nobody heard the victim or her family and they were forced to live as sex slaves.

If you read the statements of the victims, you will come to know how these people with a fanatic mindset were filled with hatred for ‘kafir’ white girls. The grooming gangs not only raped the girls themselves but also served them to others to exploit.

Emily (name changed), a victim, had shared her ordeal with media. She had revealed how a gang trapped her in its clutches when she was just 14 years old. Emily had revealed that the grooming gang had raped her more than 1000 times. Boys would come and abuse her and the brutality would cross all limits every day. There is not much difference between Emily’s case and the cases coming up in India. As much as we want to look modern, girls here are making the same mistakes as Emily.

In Emily’s case, the grooming gang had trapped her in the name of kebabs, alcohol, free cigarettes and parties and in India, girls are being trapped by showing them a life full of luxury. Whether the secularism within you accepts it or not, the incidents coming from different places are proof of the fact that the aim of Islamic fundamentalists is the same everywhere. Be it India or Britain, they hate every person who does not belong to their religion.
