Love Jihad now has an ISIS angle: Absconding ISIS handler Farhatullah Ghori, his connections to HuT, ISI, and chats about Love Jihad. All you need to know

0

In its crackdown on the ISIS terror module cases across India one of the key accused being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is absconding terrorist Farhatullah Ghori.

Ghori was working as an ISIS handler under several aliases and coordinating with ISIS operatives across cities running terror modules. He went by the names Abu Sultan, Abu Suleman, Mohammad@Bhai, Abu, Abu Sufiyan, Sardar Saheb, and Faru.

As per reports, Farhatullah is also suspected to be the leader of Hizb-Ut-Tahrir (HUT), the global Islamic fundamentalist terrorist organisation. His focus was to expand his network and implement terrorist activities mainly in Delhi, Maharashtra and Kerala.

Ghori targeted and radicalised Muslim youth and engaged them in terror plans. He also leveraged his personal connections and networks to link operatives to al-Qaeda and ISIS. Ghori’s also raised funds through “Maal-e-Ghanimat” (spoils of war) with the objective to reportedly build a “home-grown” and “self-radicalised” network.

ISI, ISIS and Hizb-Ut-Tahrir (HUT) link

Ghori’s activities for ISIS were supported by Pakistan’s ISI. He is reportedly hiding in Pakistan. This exposes the outright connection between Pakistan ISI, ISIS and Hizb-Ut-Tahrir (HUT).

In July and August 2023, the NIA apprehended HUT affiliates in Hyderabad. A total of 16 youths linked to the HUT were arrested in operations across locations including Bhopal, Chhindwara, and Hyderabad.

This was after the Madhya Pradesh Anti-terrorism Squad (ATS) busted an HUT module operating across the state. At least 8 of those terrorists held by the NIA were converts to Islam.

Additionally, in October 2022, the Hyderabad police thwarted a Pakistan ISI plot to carry out terror attacks in the city. Three accused were arrested in the case namely Abdul Zahed, Mohammed Sameeuddin and Maaz Hasan Farooq.

Abdul Zahed was in contact with ISIS operative Farhatullah Ghori and his accomplices Siddique Bin Osman alias Rafique alias Abu Hamzala and Abdul Majeed alias Chotu. All three absconded to Pakistan and are living there.

Zahed reportedly was motivated and financed to carry out terrorist attacks in Hyderabad by the above-mentioned Pakistan-supported and now Pakistan-based handlers revealing a direct ISI-ISIS-HUT connection.

How terrorists used Love Jihad & conversion as a weapon

Another shocking revelation from the ongoing NIA investigation is that some of the chats, tracked by the agency as per sources, by Ghori and his network reveal conversation about “love jihad”-related operations.

Notably, Hizb-ut-Tahrir terrorists are known to have used love jihad as a weapon to spread terror. Amongst the 17 HUT terrorists arrested by the MP ATS, 3 of those arrested from Bhopal had married Hindu girls and later forced them to convert to Islam.

Moreover, amongst those arrested in Hyderabad was Hizb ut-Tahrir (HuT) module chief Mohammad Salim aka Saurabh Rajvaidya, who had converted to Islam. He was a professor at Asaduddin Owaisi-owned Deccan Medical College in Hyderabad who also forced his wife to convert.

In February 2022, Ziyavudeen Baqavi, believed to be a member of the ISIS-affiliated Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HuT), was detained on suspicion of intending to brainwash Tamil Nadu’s Muslim population in order to create an Islamic State.

These facts clearly expose that Love Jihad and conversion are indeed a mass weapon used by the terror trio HUT, ISIS and ISI to spread terrorism in India.

On 6th July 2023, UP ATS arrested Mohammad Tariq who was spreading ISIS ideology on several social media platforms. Tariq was in touch with the Islamic State of Khorasan Province (ISKP) terrorist Sumera Bano, whom the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) of the Gujarat Police arrested along with three others.

According to reports, Sumera used to provide Mohammad Tariq training to execute ‘love jihad’, in which Hindu girls are trapped by Muslim men who later either forcefully convert them to Islam, push them into terrorism, groom them or murder and rape them.

What is Hizb ut-Tahrir?

Hizb ut-Tahrir is an international pan-Islamist and fundamentalist political organization whose stated aim is the re-establishment of the Islamic caliphate to unite the Muslim community and implement sharia globally.

The group aims to unify all Muslim countries to form an Islamic state or caliphate. After establishing the Islamic State, they plan to expand the caliphate into non-Muslim areas, through “invitation” and through military jihad.

The terror group is spread across at least 50 nations.

These revelations expose a web of terrorist networks involving different terror groups acting as branches for each other. This reveals that global terrorist organisations like ISIS and HUT are localising their attempts in order to export their network to India using Love Jihad and conversion.

Moreover, Pakistan and its agency ISI along with its home-grown terror groups is very much actively in cahoots with ISIS and HUT to further its agenda of spreading violent unrest across India.

Nuh anti-Hindu violence, ISIS module of AMU, Haldwani’s Land Jihad and more: Read OpIndia’s top 10 ground reports from 2023

0

Ground reports are an essential medium for communicating with readers. It helps enhance the credibility of the media houses among the readers and helps present every aspect of the stories that are not available elsewhere.

In 2023, OpIndia conducted several ground reports that left media categorically missed. Though it is unclear if it was intentional or happened by “mistake”, when we dug up the surface of several stories in the last year, it was found that crucial details never made the headlines.

From the connection emerging between Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Islamic State (ISIS), the investigation into the dark secrets of Mukhtar Ansari’s area, the untold horror stories of anti-Hindu violence in Nuh and illegal occupation of railway land in Haldwani, OpIndia covered some of the most important stories of 2023. We also extensively covered the Sahil-Sakshi murder case and reported in-depth details of the stone pelting on devotees from Jama Masjid before the Shiv Baraat process.

As 2023 ends, let us briefly visit our top 10 ground reports again.

1. Nuh anti-Hindu violence

In the Nuh (Mewat) region of Haryana, Hindus taking out Jalabhishek Shobha Yatra were attacked on 31st July 2023. OpIndia’s team reached there for ground reporting and brought some facts that mainstream media skipped.

Abhishek, one of the devotees who was murdered during the violence, faced a gruesome attack. He was not only shot by the Muslim mob but was also beheaded. His head was smashed with stones. The way he was attacked and killed reminded me of the methodology followed by ISIS and the Taliban.

Shakti Saini, who was not even a part of the Jalabhishek Yatra, was killed by the Muslim rioters. He worked at a sweet shop, where he was kidnapped and taken elsewhere. The rioters later killed him.

Pradeep Kumar, another victim of the violence, was brought to the Nuh police line after surviving an attack near Nalhad temple. However, the Muslim mob learned his whereabouts, and when he left the police line for home, he was surrounded by the mob and killed.

During the violence, the Muslim mob entered a Gurukul. The workers in the Gurukul were horrified by the attack. Notably, it is located in the Muslim-majority Bhads village. It was attacked and destroyed in 1992 after the disputed structure in Ayodhya was demolished.

2. Sahil-Sakshi murder case

OpIndia covered the Sahil-Sakshi murder case extensively. Sakshi was brutally murdered in Shahbad Dairy in Daily. When OpIndia’s team went for ground reporting, we found that Aam Aadmi Party’s legislator’s office was not too far from the spot where Sakshi was killed. After the murder, the banners that were hanging outside the AAP’s legislator’s office were removed, reportedly to prevent people from realising how close the crime scene was.

During our investigation, we also spotted an illegal dargah in the area. When we inquired about it, we learnt that illegal Bangladeshi allegedly infiltrated the area for some time. The Muslim population has occupied public parks. Girls who go out of the house in the area often face harassment. There have been several cases of Love Jihad in the area.

3. Illegal occupation of Railways land in Haldwani

At the beginning of last year, a court ordered the freeing of encroached railway land in Haldwani. Following the orders, there was an uproar that Muslims were stripped of their land. Furthermore, the leftist media extensively propagated the narrative. However, the story that left media flashed consistently turned out to be the opposite of the ground reality.

Our team found out that the area was peaceful. When we asked about the protesters being shown in the media, it was revealed that they were exclusively gathered for the left media. During our investigation, we noticed a journalist instructing the crown on what to say and how much to speak. He also mentioned that the story would be published in The Wire.

Upon further investigation, our team met a Muslim individual who revealed that they had been living on the encroached land without actually purchasing it. During our conversation, it was revealed that he used women and children to maintain their illegal occupation of the government land. Furthermore, several Muslim leaders and local madrasa chiefs were also supporting the illegal encroachment.

The left media only showed their side. There was no coverage of the stories about Hindus whose land was occupied, temples were demolished, and they were prevented from celebrating Hindu festivals.

4. The National Institute of Mental Health Rehabilitation (NIMHR) turned into a madrasa-like environment

At the beginning of 2023, OpIndia learned about NIMHR, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated, which was turned into a Madarsa-like environment by the Deputy Registrar, Mohammed Ashfaq. During our investigation, OpIndia found that the institute’s students had sent a three-page letter to the PMO against Ashfaq. They alleged that he ran the and spoke nonsensically about Hindu Gods.

OpIndia’s extensive reporting prompted an investigation by the PMO and protests against the Deputy Registrar by ABVP. Eventually, the Deputy Registrar was removed from NIHMR.

5. Attack on Shiv Baraat in Palamu, Stone-pelting from Jama Masjid

In February last year, devotees were attacked, leading to stone-pelting and arson, when they were preparing for Maha Shivaratri festivities from Jama Masjid. In a conversation with the locals, OpIndia found that the attack on devotees in Palamu originated from Jama Masjid. The mob pelted stones and threw petrol bombs at Hindus from the roof of the mosque.

Subsequently, the Muslims hatched a conspiracy to paint Hindus in bad light and destroyed their shops. The devotees described the incident as a trial run for Ghazwa-e-Hind. The administration was accused of one-sided action in the incident. Reportedly, women were beaten up when the police went out to look for Hindu men.

Furthermore, a few days after the incident, journalist Kamlesh Kumar Singh was brutally beaten by the police. This resulted in a severe head injury. The women who cried and pleaded were left bloodied.

6. Rape by Christian officer in Delhi

In August 2023, a shocking incident came to light from Delhi. Deputy Director of the Women and Child Development Ministry of the Delhi government, Premoday Khakha, was accused of raping a child. During our investigation, we found that Khakha was a zealous Christian. He allegedly raped his friend’s daughter for three months after the death of the friend. Khakha’s wife gave the victim abortion pills.

Further investigation revealed Khakha not only raped the girl but also harassed other women in the office. Shockingly, the Delhi High Court had written several letters to the AAP government regarding the matter, but no action was taken.

7. Mukhtar Ansari series

Since Yogi Adityanath took charge of the Chief Minister’s post in Uttar Pradesh, his government initiated action against gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari. OpIndia’s team talked to the locals about the matters involving Ansari.

Our investigation found that Ansari captured land worth crores belonging to a temple to build Ansari University. The officials were too scared of Ansari to take back charge of the encroached land. His terror was such that even police used to avoid any altercation with him. Ansari used to beat journalists with a rifle, and even the biggest political leaders and police officers could not take any action against him.

OpIndia also found that he used to sell black tickers. His grandfather, being a brigadier, was also found to be false by the locals. We found several stories of murder cases and stories related to his crimes during our investigation.

8. Yoga business crossed Rs 8 billion.

In 2023, OpIndia reported how the Yoga concept, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, thrived at the grassroots and market levels. We explained how Yoga emerged as a career option where women actively shaped their future. Furthermore, the WHO recognised Yoga’s benefits. We also reported that the craze for Yoga has been consistently increasing in the US. Citing the global Yoga market report, it was noted that in 2022, the Yoga business reached a market cap of Rs 8 trillion.

9. Dargahs in homes in Rishikesh were demolished.

In September 2023, Hindu activists in Rishikesh ran a campaign to demolish dargahs mushroomed at the residences in Rishikesh. OpIndia spoke to local activist Chandra Bhushan Sharma to take stock of the matter.

Sharma told OpIndia that there were 200 dargahs built inside homes in and around Rishikesh, including those of priests, soldiers and businessmen. When questions were raised about them, locals were persuaded to demolish the structures.

10. AMU ISIS series

In 2023, Uttar Pradesh Police’s ATS uncovered the Aligarh ISIS module. OpIndia extensively reported about it and explained the terrorists’ connection with Aligarh University.

In our reports, we presented all aspects of the arrest of PhD student from AMU and ISIS terrorist Wajiuddin in Chhattisgarh, or his mother-in-law working at Aligarh Muslim University. OpIndia also covered the arrest of seven terrorists of the Aligarh ISIS module and the hunt for a terrorist named Abdul Faizan, who has a reward of Rs 25,000. Additionally, OpIndia also reported their objectives, connections to extremists, their pledge for jihad, the apps they used for communication and how they procured and distributed weapons.

‘SC decided to speak in one voice in Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi case’: CJI DY Chandrachud

On 1st January (Monday), Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud gave an exclusive interview to the News agency PTI on a host of issues, including prominent judgements like Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi, Article 370 and Same-sex marriage verdicts among others.

CJI Chandrachud told PTI that the Judges in the Ram Janmabhoomi case arrived at a unanimous decision that the authorship of the judgement will not be ascribed. According to him, the Supreme Court spoke in one voice on the Ayodhya judgement keeping the long history of the conflict and diverse viewpoints in mind.

He said, “Judges in the Ayodhya case unanimously decided there will be no authorship ascribed to judgment. Keeping the long history of conflict and diverse viewpoints in mind, SC decided to speak in one voice in the Ayodhya case.”

Regarding the five-judge constitutional bench verdict refusing to legalise same-sex marriages, the CJI opined that the outcome of a case is never personal to a judge. He asserted that one should never associate themselves with a cause. The 50th Chief Justice of India, however, acknowledged the “long and hard battle” queer couples fought for the realisation of their rights, PTI reported.

He said, “Once you decide a case you kind of distance yourself from the outcome. Outcomes are never personal to us as a judge. I never have any regrets. Yes, I have been in a majority in many cases and a minority in many cases. But the important part of the life of a judge is never to associate yourself with a cause. Having decided a case, I leave it at that.”

However, he didn’t comment on the merits of the judgement that refused to grant legal status to queer marriages. Notably, the Supreme Court in a 3:2 verdict had ruled against the bunch of petitions that sought legalisation of same-sex marriages.

Following the Supreme Court verdict on the revocation of Article 370 and a bunch of pleas related to it, some jurists and vested interest groups had criticised the judgement. The CJI refused to respond to the criticism of the verdict saying tersely the judges decide a case “according to the Constitution and the law”.

The CJI said, “So far as we are concerned we decide according to the Constitution and the law. I don’t think it will be appropriate for me either to respond to the criticism or mount a defence to my judgment. What we have said in my judgment is reflected in the reason present in the signed judgment and I must leave it at that.”

In the context of the Supreme Court’s functioning, the CJI hinted that there is a lobby involved that tries to dictate terms to the judges, particularly in the formation of cases to some preferential bench. Regarding bench hunting, the CJI asserted that the allocation of cases to judges can’t be lawyer-driven (activity). He added, “I am very very clear in my mind that the credibility of the institution of SC has to be maintained.”

He stressed that the Supreme Court has taken steps to enhance transparency and accessibility citing the example of living streaming of important hearings of the constitutional benches.

He said, “We have taken some very unique initiatives in the last year. They are designed to ensure enhanced accessibility and transparency into the Indian judiciary. We have started live streaming of important cases emanating from the constitution benches.”

Ministry of Home Affairs declares Goldy Brar, linked to Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder, a terrorist under UAPA

0

On 1st January, in a significant development, the Ministry of Home Affairs declared gangster Satwinder Singh alias Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar as a terrorist under the  Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.

According to the notification issued by the Home Ministry, Brar is believed to be involved in acts of terrorism. The report mentioned that Brar, born on April 1st, 1994, resided in Brampton, Canada. He is a known associate of the Khalistani terrorist organisation Babbar Khalsa International. Brar is also reportedly the prime accused in the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.

The notification further stated that Brar has been implicated in multiple criminal activities, including murder, extortion and making threatening calls and claims on social media. Furthermore, he has been accused of smuggling weapons and ammunition into India using drones. He is also a suspect in planning and executing target killings, leading to the disruption of peace and communal harmony in the country, especially in the Punjab region.

The decision of the Government of India follows a non-bailable warrant issued against him on 12th December 2022 and a Red Corner Notice by Interpol suggesting a global consensus on the threat that Brar poses.

The notification came after the last amendment dated 29th December 2023. His name added to the Fourth Schedule signified the Government’s resolve to fight terrorism with a firm hand and to take strict measures against those who threaten the security and harmony of India.

Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun issues threat to target BSE on 1993 Mumbai Blasts anniversary

On 1st January, Khalistani terrorist and chief of Khalistani terror organisation Sikhs For Justice, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, issued a fresh threat. In a video message, Pannun called for India’s “economic destruction” by targeting the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on the 31st anniversary of the 1993 Mumbai Blasts, 12th March 2024. Notably, BSE buildings were among the targets of the bomb blasts in 1993.

While the buildings were damaged in the 1993 blast, Pannun aimed at “destroying India’s economy” by attacking NSE/BSE from 12th March this year. Unlike the bomb blasts, he called for dumping Indian stocks and purchasing American stocks before 12th March. In his video message, he also identified several corporate houses and banks as his targets that trade internationally.

Recently, Pannun issued a threat against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging Muslims to stop PM’s roadshow in Ayodhya that took place on 30th December. He had offered a cash reward of USD 100,000 for anyone who succeeded. However, just like his many earlier “cash rewards to create unrest in India” plans, this one did not work out in his favour.

The frustrated Pannun has consistently escalated the threats against India. He had also asked the PM, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval to have a 24×7 security blanket, hinting at a possible attack on them. Not to forget, days before the ICC World Cup final match, Pannun had threatened to blow up Air India flights on 19th November, the day of the final match. Subsequently, he threatened to attack the Parliament of India in one of his recent threats. Furthermore, he also announced a cash reward for the accused of the Parliament security breach that took place on 13th December.

Who is Gurpatwant Singh Pannun?

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is a US-based Khalistani terrorist who has citizenship in both the US and Canada. He poses as an attorney in the US and claims to be a frontrunner in the fight for the rights of Sikhs. In reality, he consistently propagates the Khalistani sentiments and often issues threats against India. He has been actively promoting violence against Indian diplomats in Canada, the US and other countries where pro-Khalistani Sikhs have been living. He was designated as a terrorist by the Government of India under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for his anti-India activities. His organisation, Sikhs For Justice, was also listed as a terrorist outfit by the Government of India.

This is the 33rd consecutive exchange of such lists between the two countries, the first one having taken place on January 1, 1992.

The exchange of the list came amid continuing strain in ties between the two countries over multiple issues including Kashmir and cross-border terrorism.

Massive decline in terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir in 2023, almost ‘zero’ stone pelting after abrogation of Article 370: Details

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has informed that the number of terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir has decreased from 228 in the year 2018 to just 44 in 2023.

As per the data (until 15th December 2023) presented by the Centre, there has been been 80.7% decline in terror activities in the valley over past 5 years. It must be mentioned that Article 370 was abrogated by the Modi government in a landmark legislation on 5th August 2019.

While there were 52 hartals and 1221 stone pelting instances in 2018, it must be mentioned that Jammu and Kashmir witnessed no such incident of organised hartal and stone pelting in 2023.

Decline in encounters, martyrdom of Indian soldiers

During the said period, the number of civilian deaths has declined from 55 to 13. About 26 Indian armed forces personnel were martyred in 2023 as compared to 91 in 2018. Between 2018 and 2023, the number of terrorist encounters also fell from 189 to 48.

According to the Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain, a total of 76 terrorists were neutralised in 2023 in Jammu and Kashmir. 55 of the neutralised terrorists were foreigners.

Besides the local police have booked 201 terrorists and arrested 291 others. Swain informed that recruitment of terrorists have also witnessed a massive decline.

Massive footfall of tourists and pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir

The Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing relative peace, which has led to a tremendous boost in tourism and pilgrimage activities.

According to the MHA, about 1.9 crore tourists visited the Union territory in 2023 while 4.4 lakh Hindu devotees participated in the Amarnath Yatra (highest footfall in the past 10 years).

Abrogation of Article 370

Article 370 granted special autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir. It curtailed the central government’s legislative authority over the state. The now-revoked section allowed the state to formulate its own law, with specific exemptions in areas like finance, defence, foreign affairs, and communications.

Following the abrogation of Article 370, two Union Territories named Jammu and Kashmir (with a legislative body) and Ladakh (without a legislative body) were created. As assembly elections have not taken place in either of the UTs, they are currently being administered by Centre-appointed lieutenant governors.

On 11th December this year, the Supreme Court of India upheld the Centre’s decision to abrogate Article 370.

The Guardian admits that Modi 3.0 is inevitable, continues to whine about India, Hindu nationalism, imaginary Muslim victimhood and more

Western media has long been painting India as the country of all the bad things. The overall Western expectation from India is being a poor country, forever dependent on the Western handouts, and obey what the White masters told them like a good, properly trained British colony should.

However, the new India baffles the Western world narrative. The India that refuses to silently take orders and remain poor, the India that exercises the will of its people and elects leaders that further its national interest, the India that rejects demands of the Western world and shapes its domestic and international policies for the benefit its people, is unacceptable to the colonial mindset.

For that very reason, the rise of Narendra Modi as an unprecedented, undisputed leader of the world’s largest democracy has caused never-ending pain and outrage from Western commentators and their faithful servants in India.

British media outlet The Guardian, in a recently published article on India’s next elections, has done exactly what the entire Leftist cabal, and the Western media have been doing for decades. It has finally admitted that there is no stopping Modi from winning another term at office. However, habits are hard to kill, so it has, as usual, painted a doom-and-gloom scenario for the country.

Article by The Guardian

The article ‘BJP win in India’s 2024 general election almost an inevitability’ by Hannah Ellis-Petersen reluctantly concedes that another Modi victory in the 2024 elections is now inevitable, as indicated by massive victories in the 3 states in the Northern part (Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan).

Terming Modi as a ‘political strongman’, the article then suggests that Modi’s victory is due to the BJP’s Hindu nationalist agenda, and Modi’s popularity among the large Hindu majority in India.

The article then claims that the BJP govt by Modi has been accused of “muzzling critical media, eroding the independence of the judiciary and all forms of parliamentary scrutiny”. The author has conveniently ignored to mention or acknowledge that media in India, including hundreds of current and former journalists with their YouTube channels, constantly and relentlessly criticize Modi, calling him names and leveling myriad allegations on him, without any basis. Those media and social media channels are not ‘banned’ in India, as the author would like the readers to believe. Rather, it is the people of India who keep voting for Modi again and again.

Modi has not inherited his Prime Ministership or political power from a parent, he has not been planted in his post with the help of foreign powers, but he has been chosen by the people of India, winning a thumping majority not once but twice. Another important fact most Western commentators forget to add is that Modi didn’t just drop out of the sky to become the PM of the country. He was the elected CM of Gujarat for more than 12 years, winning consecutive elections. Modi has risen to power from an ordinary BJP worker to that of the Prime Minister, just by his sheer grit, dedication, and leadership skills that set him apart from his contemporaries.

Hannah Ellis-Peterson also admits, albeit reluctantly, that the Opposition in India is unable to provide a strong alternative to BJP and Modi. She even claims that the BJP has been jailing its political opponents. Then proceeds in the very next sentence to add that the Opposition in India is strong in some pockets of the country. If Modi had been jailing his opponents, who are the opposition leaders that have won in these pockets and Telangana recently? The article doesn’t answer that.

Opposition leaders in India are conducting rallies, winning provincial elections, and openly ranting against the Prime Minister day and night, without anyone putting them in jail. however, the Western media won’t point that out. The article mentions the upcoming Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, mentioning it as a Hindu temple that has been made in place of a ‘demolished mosque’. The article conveniently forgets to ignore that the alleged mosque was an illegal structure built after demolishing a temple on one of Hinduism’s holiest sites, the birthplace of Lord Ram.

In a hilarious few paragraphs, the article quotes Ashutosh Varshney, the director of the Center for Contemporary South Asia at Brown University in the US, claiming that if Modi wins a third term, Muslims in India will be disenfranchised, like the black people were in the 19th and early 20th century America.

The author, for reasons best known to her, has not bothered to ask if Modi were to disenfranchise Muslims, why hasn’t he already done that in his first and second terms? What exactly do Varshney and the author think he has been waiting for?

The author has also not bothered to ask Varshney what rights, benefits, and welfare schemes has Modi kept the Muslims away from, based on which he is making such a tall claim. But perhaps honesty and honest questions are against the Left-liberal omerta.

The article does quote the BJP’s Jay Panda, who has asked for an example of a single instance where a Muslim citizen of India has been discriminated against based on their religion. But as has been usual for Indian and Western media portals, some claims are just repeated, without any accountability to analyze or question them. “Modi is against Muslims, Modi is bad for democracy, Hindus are bad people, India’s democracy is in danger because Modi keeps winning elections”, etc etc are such claims.

The fact is that India’s democracy is nurtured and held up firm by India’s people. The very people who have elected Modi twice and are most likely to elect him again. If Modi wanted to become a dictator, he would have become one in the last 10 years where he held an overwhelming mandate. Contrary to what the fading, dwindling Opposition leaders, and the Left-liberal media claim, Modi will win another election because India loves him, and India knows that Modi is good for the country.

The Opposition in India keeps sliding further down to non-relevance because, instead of realizing and respecting the will of the people and finding out the ways to connect with the people, they have been launching ad hominem attacks on Modi, and cursing the very people they expect to vote them to power.

Karnataka: Hindus who participated in Ram Mandir movement 30 years ago face threat of arrest ahead of Pran Pratishtha, Police arrests Srikanth Poojari in 1992 case

0

As the date of the Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya approaches, the Karnataka police department seems to have opened cases for investigation against Ram Mandir activists who allegedly engaged in property destruction and other offences during the peak of the movement for Ram Mandir thirty years ago.

According to an IANS report, the police department has assembled a special team and compiled a list of ‘suspects’ in instances related to the 1992 Ram Mandir movement, which led to acts of violence by Islamists and ensuing intercommunal conflicts.

Further, regarding a claimed incident of torching a minority-owned store in Hubballi on December 5, 1992, Srikanth Poojari has been taken into custody by the Hubballi police. Poojari is the third defendant in the case, and eight more defendants are being sought after by the police. Poojari was put under court supervision.

In a similar vein, Hubballi police have also created a list of 300 ‘suspects’ they claim are connected to communal conflicts that occurred between 1992 and 1996, according to the IANS report. The ‘accused’ are now in their early and late 70s, according to police sources, and many of them have left the city.

Many of the ‘suspects’ hold prominent positions today, and the police are contemplating the potential consequences of filing lawsuits against them. It is believed that the police department has been instructed by the Congress government to investigate these cases extensively.

Numerous members of the Ram Janma Bhoomi movement have gone on to become well-known BJP politicians and reports claim that under the BJP’s rule, cases against all these well-known leaders were dismissed.

Hindu organizations have denounced the Congress government’s current action with outrage. They have said that the Congress government, unable to stand the door-to-door campaigning by the BJP and Hindu organizations against the backdrop of the opening of the Sri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, is using this tactic to start investigating instances that were reported thirty years ago.

The news is probably going to spark a big debate in the state. Notably, major violence broke out in Karnataka in the 1990s as a result of Islamist opposition to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement that was launched by veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani.
